I've been reading the strip since the first LG big battle, and I've always found the forums a great place to read some interesting opinions and at times to get some inspiration for playing D&D myself. hello everyone. been reading this for a long time and now i finally decided to join the community.

Every time I search for advice on how to DM, this site keeps poppin up. Being that this is the very first time I'm DMing, and I want to give the players the best experience possible, I'm open to all kinds of advice. I'm used to writing short stories for myself (my long term goal is a novel), so writing/creating a world in collaboration with other human beings is very, very, very awkward.

Not much to say about meself. The 80s was the golden age of movies. Robert E. Howard is KING. I'm drunk with Ghibli, I hate authoritarians. The color orange is for suckers. I've spent so much time by myself I question if I'm even from this planet.

The username I have chosen cometh from one of the side antagonists of the home-brew campaign we are building. Think of him as the horrible love child of Captain Spaulding and Mumm-Ra.

Howdy, I'm Sister Christian.

The handle is from the Night Ranger song, yes. Uh, I guess a little bit about me is in order. So, I have a degree in history, I love learning about the Middle Ages. I like exploring, hiking, going on road trips and being out in nature. Horseback riding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, hunting and fishing are all good in my book. Cold and snow are some of my favorite things.

I also enjoy dark beers and cherry pipe tobacco. I chew Redman as well, because it's nice and I enjoy it. I used to roll around on tanks for a bit and that was pretty fun, but I ride a desk these days. I really enjoy science fiction and fantasy. Favorite authors include Jim Butcher, Larry Coerria, Andre Norton, Roger Zelazny, Aaron Dembski-Bowden, Raymond Chandler, Robert E. Howard, E.E. Smith, CL Werner and Dave Luckett.

I saw it in the options when setting up the account, but I'll poke around and see what I see.

Update: Settings (upper right-hand corner) --> General Settings --> Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options --> Avatar settings are there.
