ToB - Swapping out maneuvers

Per the rules in the ToB about swapping out maneuvers at level 4, 6, 8, 10, etc...

Can you swap out stances as well? I.e. at level 6, can one swap out that level 1 stance for its level 3 equivalent? I seem to recall reading that you can't do that, but I can't find it again. If not, great! If so, damn.

Can you direct me to the source for this, just so that I can see it on paper? I know its there, just can't find the damned thing!

I would have, but my ToB is at home. I read it through the other week though, so I knew. Not the most convincing of arguments, I know

You can't swap out stances. It's in the description of stances within each class. Try reading them.
