This is the OOC thread for The Lions Of Undersky.

Mostly, this thread will be used for friendly banter among the players and possibly unfriendly questions from the DM to the players about what their plans are.

So, first order of business: can someone organize a table or something with who is going to scout and who is going to storm?

Traditional MMO style?
Let the people with high melee DPR in first to attack while receiving spells from the cleric/paladin. Wizard/Warlock backs them up with firepower from a distance.

Fin's sort of a weird build. The College of Whispers subclass is primarily social, except its alternate use for Bardic Inspiration is sort of a Sneak Attack-like damage boost. Fin has crazy good stealth and some useful spells for control, and he's got a low consistent damage output, so he's not helpless, but he's definitely more support in open combat. He's got one potentially very powerful spell for solving encounters, Phatasmal Force, and its still definitely more versatile outside of open combat, not to mention being 2nd level. In short, if we need some folks to hold back and keep a spare guard on the caravan, Fin's probably a decent choice to stay behind.

Lucian will storm. He has decent damages and can boost them or buff a group of people. Plus, in an emergency, he can dish out some healing or cure a condition.

If we want to leave one-two people out to guard the caravan, I'm ok with it. But if it looks like we are facing a single, powerful enemy, the more hands on deck we have the more likely it is this will go smoothly, IMO.

I think Xenopax's layout works nicely, with these information. Especially because an ogre isn't likely to do a lot of unpredictable things. It is just a matter of how many of us should join the fray, at this point, no?

Leonidas can support his team with Battle Master abilities. other than that all he can do is beat the opponent to death. I'll be storming.

I'll be supporting a storming group. If possible I'll cast Bless before we head in.

So there is one visible ogre and a cave that could contain anything (but may well contain more ogres or other things). GM was careful to say that Melchior didn't see anything on the other hill.

Morn will join the stormers (edit: back row) unless asked to stay with the caravan.

Does anyone have Pass without trace for sneaking in force?

If I have read the open hand monk entry correctly, you will be killing up front with the DPR people.

LunaticFringe has dropped. I had mentioned they broke their hand in the IC. But I neglected from removing their sheet since an injury like that only takes about a month to heal.

Shveiran - were you trying to edit the rolls in or preview the post before posting? Neither one works with the GitPg dice roller. Getting the 'wait X seconds before posting' also screws them up if you don't hit back before posting.

Is Brom chaffing (in character) at being left with the wagons or are you proposing that we take our characters away from the caravan towards the ogre and the fight? Sorry for being so dense.

@GM
Can Morn see the fight and so substitute his portent dice for someone's roll? Could he use portent for something he can see through his familiar's eyes?

I can use the Portent class feature to make a guaranteed roll on someone's behalf (today there is an 11 and a 20(!) available), but only before the roll. If you feel that an action, attack or saving throw is a good candidate for portent don't immediately roll the dice (or at least hide the roll in a spoiler where I can't see it) and ping me.

You can see part of the fight. A large tree blocks your view from seeing the ogre and the two that just approached it, and you will be able to see it next round. Not that this matters, Because I will allow you to use your portent through the eyes of your familiar.

Think I miss understood; for some reason I was thinking there was another ogre not in the direction of the cave...I sometimes read too fast.

We are waiting on Jallorn for their actions, so it seems. Though, as Fin is on D it doesn't matter so much.

Also Shveiran, keep in mind that Proficiency does not add to damage rolls. Meaning 1d8+3, not +5.
Not to mention Javelins are thrown weapons, so they use dexterity, and that means yours are +1 to hit and deal 1d6-1 damage...
