Re: [Exotic Weapon]
I'm hesitant about making it finessable.

It is a joyful thing indeed to hold intimate converse with a man after one’s own heart, chatting without reserve about things of interest or the fleeting topics of the world; but such, alas, are few and far between.

Re: [Exotic Weapon]
Seems good, yo!
Just an aside... hey! Y'know, I've got numerous sketches of weapons like that! Almost exactly the-bloody-same!
Hmm, you sure it's just eight pounds?Avatarcred: HELL YEAH to THE Oneris! Ma'am, thank you, ma'am.

Re: [Exotic Weapon]
No, every single yami-sabre is already masterwork, there is no non-masterwork Yami-sabre
And as for finessable I agree, I forgot to consider that when Balancing it.
exotic = +1 point
- crit mod = +1 point
+2 crit range = -2 points
Finessable = -1 point
I was originaly put it at around 14-16lbs (Longspear + scimitar)
But then since I thought it was a "artistic, finessable weapon" I imagine it to be preety light wieght.Last edited by Yeril; 2007-08-24 at 01:09 PM.

Re: [Exotic Weapon]
I think that, probably, if you knocked it down to 1D8 Damage as a Medium Sized Weapon it would be balanced.

Re: [Exotic Weapon]
Pretty similar stat-wise to the 'elven courtsword' from Races of the Wild, only heavier. I think the costs are even comparable (though there exists such a thing as non-masterwork courtswords). Oh, and not a reach weapon. I don't know how unbalancing allowing Finesse is (I can't imagine it's -too- terrible), but it seems to be about on par with other, similar weapons apart from that. And I think the added cost, as well as being exotic (and let's not forget two-handed), makes up for it.

Re: [Exotic Weapon]
That's true, the Elven Courtblade is almost statistically the same. According to the Custom Weapon Builder, it would come in at:
Damage 1D10 = +5.5
Critical Multiplier = +3.0
Finessable = +0.5
Reach = +1.0
For a total of 10.0 Points, which is reasonable. Elven Court Blades are 9.5; if you bring it down to 1D8 Damage it would be 9.0.Last edited by Matthew; 2007-08-26 at 12:44 PM.
