The stallion is a creature of surpassing beauty - a great winged horse clad in golden barding that shines even in the darkest night.

Divine steeds are mounts sent from the Upper (and Lower) Planes to serve mortal paladins who have taken the Divine Steed feat. They can take a wide variety of forms, from enchanting pegasi to animated horse skeletons. A divine steed is always capable of flight (via feathered, batlike, or insectile wings, or sometimes even by pure will) and its alignment (including alignment subtypes) always matches that of its master.

A divine steed speaks Abyssal, Celestial, Common, Infernal, and at least one other language spoken by its master.

    Combat Abilities
A divine steed obeys its master without question in combat, typically serving as a war mount. Its divine aura makes it very useful in large-scale battles.

A divine steed's natural weapons, as well as any weapons it wields, are treated as magic and aligned weapons (according to its alignment subtypes) for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

    Divine Aura (Su)
A divine steed radiates a powerful aura out to a radius of 300 feet, the effect of which depends on the nature of the individual steed (see below). A creature that successfully saves against a steed's aura is immune to that aura for the next 24 hours. The save DC (if any) is Charisma-based. Caster level 12th for all effects. The aura never harm's the steed's master or her allies.

    Conquest
As prayer out to 300 feet, affecting all allies and enemies appropriately (no save).

    Death
Enemies in range must make a Will save (DC 24) or be affected as by fear.

    Famine
Enemies in range must make a Fortitude save (DC 24) or be affected as by waves of fatigue. Enemy territory suffers from diminish plants (stunt growth) version.

    Nature
Enemies in range must make a Reflex save (DC 24) or be affected as by entangle. Allied territory benefits from plant growth (enrichment version).

    Pestilence
Enemies in range must make a Fortitude save (DC 24) or be affected as by contagion (slimy doom version).

    Valkyrie
Allies within 300 feet benefit from good hope (no save).

    War
Enemies in range must make a Will save (DC 24) or be affected as by confusion.

    Divine Mount (Su)
While mounted on his divine steed, a paladin's caster level and ability to turn/rebuke undead improve to those of a cleric of his class level.

    Special Mount Abilities (Ex)
The benefits for being a paladin's special mount (natural armor adjustment, strength/dexterity adjustment, improved evasion, etc.) are not included in the statistics block.

    Unearthly Grace (Su)
A divine steed adds its Charisma modifier as a bonus on all its saving throws and as a deflection bonus to its Armour Class. (The statistics block already reflects these bonuses).
