    Question Non-spell Ways to add extra dice to attack damage

    I've been going over the 5e books lately and it got me wondering: how many different non-spell based (no spells no smites) abilities can add extra dice to a damage roll?

    So far I have:

    • Rogue - Sneak Attack (xd6 depends on level)
    • Zealot - Divine Fury (1d6 + some extra)
    • Horizon Walker - Planar Warrior (1d8)
    • Monster Slayer - Slayer's Prey (1d6)
    • Kensei - Kensei's Shot (1d4)


    Which seems like a rather small list. What other non-spell based abilities add damage dice to a damage roll?

    On top of my head:

    Hunter Ranger - Colossus Slayer (1d8)
    Battlemaster Fighter - Superiority Dice (1d8 - 1d12)
    Cleric - Divine Strike (1d8-2d8)

    Battlemaster Fighter - Often adds superiority die to damage for manoeuvres

    College of Valour Bard - Add bardic inspiration to damage

    Paladin - +1d8 to all attacks at higher levels

    War Cleric - +1d8 to a weapon attack once per round (I think)

    Sorceror - Add +1 damage die if you roll max with at least one die for spell damage

    College of Swords flourishes adds damage too, afaik.

    And there is always the UA Brute, which everyone loves. :D

    Fighter - Arcane Archer - Various Arcane Shot Options
    Ranger - Gloom Stalker - Dread Ambusher (1d8)

    Omitting things already said:

    4 element monk's fangs of the fire snake (+1d10 for one ki point, but costs one ki to turn on the effect to have the option)

    Kensai's deft strike (+1 martial arts die, once per your turn)

    Orcish Fury (+1 damage die; racial feat, once per rest)

    Some poisons, possibly. You can potentially extract no-save poisons from creatures that have them as a part of their damage dice.

    Maybe this is too obvious, but what about Critical hits, and, as part of that, the Half Orc's extra Crit die and the Barbarian 's brutal critical.
    Part-time DM, part-time player in 5e. I aim to be reasonable.

    I think you should consider the improved divine smite as valid as it does not require a spell and is always on.
