Well, the postage certainly goes down if you bundle books together,

Actually the postage may even go up. 4 books can be more than 3 times expensive as 2 books and such. Books are heavy and quickly hit shipment thresholds for weight and size. You could get 1-3 in a letter category (book 5 alone probably pushes it), but the whole set of nine might require a fairly expensive box. All depending on where you are.

Sadly many postal services are recouping costs incurred by packages delivered from elsewhere with high prices on outgoing mail. Any place with a lot of incoming vs outgoing is gonna be shafted by the international postalsystem.

The price you see listed is ofc on the books themselves which does not include shipping.

Oh, definitely. The books are scheduled to be done printing at the end of July, so there's plenty of time for them to get through the distribution chain by then.

The GenCon situation is a little tight because it's the first weekend in August and there are all sorts of deadlines for when the truck going to Indianapolis from the warehouse is leaving, but arriving on time through the other channels is essentially certain at this point.

That is literally what it means: you go to GenCon and pick it up in person from the Ookoodook booth. It's "shipping" because it's a limited website and the option has to be put in there in a way that the system understands.

Since I will be at GenCon, I asked ookoodook "I was wondering if I could order multiple other books from you and pick them all up, or just the one?" and the answer was YES.

You can order all the books and pick them all up at gencon.

You didn't answer my question about getting a discount because I plan to order ALL the books (all 9), so I assume this is not available. However, although I cannot be in Indianapolis, I work in Philly, which is where you are, so if you have some personally in stock maybe I can save on postage if I come to pick them up?

I read the print books first, but even if I didn't I'd say the extra content is totally worth it as well.

Update: The books shipped from the printer last night, as scheduled. That means that they are 100% on time, and we won't even need to do any fancy tricks to get them to GenCon. They'll just be there.

We'll probably be cutting off GenCon pre-orders in the next day or two, so the people working the Ookoodook booth know how many copies to set aside for pre-order pick-up.

Not offhand, but USPS has always been ridiculously fast for me. The keep in mind, the shipping labels have been generated, but nothing's gone out yet, so don't expect anything until they actually make the USPS drop. Once that hits, though, I'd expect a few days.

I did order within 2 hours after the Giant put up this thread, so the when doesn't matter probably.
