Eager to do something besides stand there like a mannequin, Louise moved past Dismas into the room with the remaining zombies, then loosed an arrow at the first of them.

Drawing her sword, Corinne prepared to help parry any attack that might be made against Cordelia.

Moments after Corinne assumes a defensive stance, the tiefling lashes out at Cordellia. The rippling steel of his greataxe cuts a black arc through the air, only to stop inches from her gut. Corinne's rapier quivers in defiance against the stroke, until with all her strength she manages to parry the axe aside. Meanwhile, in the cleric's redoubt the two zombies turn from Dismas in a stumbling fugue, moving for the door that leads further east.

Dropping his hammer and drawing once more his recently acquired axe, Reynauld stepped up to the fleeing undead and put all his weight behind a swing in an attempt to dispatch of the undead filth.

Torn between helping Cordellia and following after Reynauld, Simone decided the tiefling looked like the most urgent threat and summoned a glowing mace to try and pummel the undead loving fiend with.

Undeterred by their proximity to Reynauld, the two zombies continue their flight. One shoves a mangled had against the door on the eastern wall, which obligingly swings open. The way clear, its fellow shuffles forward, drawing the crusader's ire. Further down the hall, the remaining tiefling spits curses at the inexplicable bulwark that is Cordellia, lashing out with another strike that is deflect by magical force.

Reynauld batted the fleeing zombie back in its place, before swinging his axe in an attempt to finish off the heavily damaged one. The monsters were a good source of channeling the blessing of Pelor to help heal Dismas if nothing else, although the crusader was keen to help his allies to the south against whatever fresh menace had presented itself.

Reynauld will use Crusader's Strike on trog zombie 1, hopefully dropping it. If he does, he will 5 ft. step into its space and use his move action to close the door.

Once more, the tiefling lashes out, and once more his axe meets the unbreakable aegis of Cordellia's magic. With Reynauld's move to support his friends, the last zombie shuffles out of view through the eastern door, leaving only the cultist to face the full weight of his doom.

Simone realized her eyes had squinted shut everytime she had taken a swing so she tried again, focusing on keeping the tiefling within view!

Retreating a few steps back down the hall, Corinne made room for her compatriots to assault the cultist.

With a last burst of concerted effort, and some critical aid from Simone, Reynauld's greataxe strikes true. The chain link mask over the tiefling's face shatters, followed swiftly by the Hextorite's skull. He crumples at once, his life extinguished, and silence falls across the corridor.

After assessing the others's health, Simone nodded and gestured towards where the zombies had run off to.

"Let's get after the zombies then, we can't suffer undead abominations after all."

Adrenaline continued to rush through Reynauld, letting him ignore the myriad wounds he had received and healed over the past few hectic minutes.
"I... I think we're winning!" he said as he ran to retrieve his lucerne hammer, and led the way in the direction the last zombie had fled.

Louise brought up the rear, keenly aware that she would not be of greatest use against a zombie.

Cordellia looked to the others as they began to quickly rush off ”Perhaps we should-“ but Reynauld’s crashing feet had signaled a crusade in full motion and the Wizzetrix was loathed to be more than a few feet behind the man’s impressive thews in motion “Winning? Darling we won the moment you sat at a table with yours truly!” She exploded the felled Tiefling one more time for good measure and petty rage outlet as she clicked behind the Crusader with dancers grace.

Leading the party on the trail of the surviving zombie, Reynauld pushes through the eastern door. A pair of torches mounted on long, iron poles shed flickering light across this chamber. A small stone altar stands between the two torches. A red tapestry emblazoned with the symbol of a gauntlet grasping six arrows hangs from the wall behind the altar. Four statues of men clad in chainmail and leather masks, each carrying a greatsword, stand along the wall, two on each side of the altar. To the north, a staircase rises to some unexplored second level of the complex, and standing guard before it are two tiefling cultists very much alive. Behind them stands a man girded in glossy black full-plate, the holy symbol of Hextor painted on the breastplate with rusty red paint. While his hair is greying, his posture shows no sign of fatigue, and the burn scars across his face and ruined left eye socket speak to some history as a warrior. As Reynauld steps into view, the armored man speaks, his voice deep and resonant against the stone walls.

"So, the rats scurrying through my home finally appear. By what right have you trespassed here and murdered my servants, Pelorite?"

”Honey I can do whatever I want.” Cordellia grinned to the point of near malice as she quickly incanted her scorching ray of arcane power and pointed it over the guarding cultists to their clearly fire scarred speaker. Burn marks made her feel unreasonably giddy knowing her magics would take full hold on the crazed cultist.
