R3T26: Kabsi pummels the dinosaur, hoping to keep it off balance long enough to buy Hoggie the time he needs to escape. The first blow seems like it should've struck solidly, but the creature's thick hide is more formidable than Kabsi expected, but that just sets him up to crit punch the thing in the head for 13 mod NL. While a follow-through attack that wasn't expected to fully connect, still Kabsi gains a measure of respect for the sinuous creature's speed as the third attack completely misses.

R3T25: It goes both ways, though, as the dinosaur-not-dinosaur bites Kabsi's foot for 23.

R3T21: Rhoha, you have 15' more of the shallows to slog/ wade through (difficult terrain) before you can finally open up into a swim. What do you do? Do you have Sparkles do anything or keep still for the battle?

Kabsi frowned. Those blows should have done a lot less damage than they seemed to. It took him a second to piece together why though: that wave had dissipated the handwraps he was using as a cestus. If made his fists much more hydrodynamic, so of course he wasn't getting the force he needed from them. Getting another one wouldn't be too difficult, but without having one now, that limited his options significantly.

He channels more energy into his fists, preparing himself to strike when they approach.

R5T17: Skald flies up and out so that when Hoggie next goes they will be caught up.

R5T10.3-10.1: A shark comes speeding into view of Rhoha while he fin goes racing to Kabsi. A powerful spear-hand fist is let loose to gouge the shark with energy coursing through Rhoha to the predator for 41 to stop it cold as it then goes limp. The other shark was coming in just as split-second behind and Rhoha spear-hands that one for 22 (2 reflexive), enough to throw off its bite as it closes.

R5T10: Coming in at equally impressive, shark-like speeds comes the kopru as it bites at Kabsi on a charge. It is enough that only Kabsi's currently thickened hide is all that stops the bite from landing.

He tries to knock it off-guard, batter it to distract it more than try and do real damage, as without his cestus, he was limited in that regard anyway. The first strike just penetrates its thick hide for 7 mod, the second follows for 10 mod, and the third almost seems to get through, but the monster moved just enough that Kabsi didn't get past its hide on the third strike. It doesn't seem affected by the stunning fist, though.

R6T25: The elasmosaurus speeds in and around to put Kabsi in a flanked position.

R6T17: Skald flies ahead just enough for Hoggie and Rusty to catch up.

R6T10.3: Rhoha, what do you do?

Channeling more energy into his fist, Rhoha strikes out against the wounded shark aiming for the kill. The spear-hand strike is perfect, and in delivering it .... the shark disappears! The hunter then swims behind the Fish-man to flank. Meanwhile, a very nervous telepathic reply is heard in Rhoha's mind.

R6T10: The kopru now focuses on and attacks Kabsi with a vengeance. Its hideous semi-tentacular beak of a mouth latches onto Kabsi's left shoulder briefly with a bite for 25. It then claws him in the belly for 22 with the other claw in the lower left arm for 26. Finally, the tail slap nails Kabsi wtih a crit to the head for 24 (real) + 1 NL with what will end up being a terrible bruise. The tail almost wrapped around and held Kabsi's head, but he managed to just barely slip out.

R7T26: Kabsi needs to heal and he needs to heal now. He takes his internal energy and suffuses his body and wounds (healing 20), but the spectacles and floral headdress he wears fade until they disappear, and the draconic scales around his torso abate only slightly. He then focuses everything he has on the kopru he and Rhoha are flanking with as much speed and power as he can manage. His first strike is a pointed toe strike to a nerve plexus at the kopru's tail for 8 NL, but does not stun him. He overhands with an elbow that doesn't get past the kopru's rubbery hide, and the return on the elbow misses completely. A ki-powered strike fist is deflected, but this puts the kopru in perfect position for a crumpling elbow smash that does 17 NL. Kabsi then moves out of flank to swim away from the elasmosaurus and closer to Rhoha.

R7T25: The elasmosaurus is obviously trained to flank, not just the kopru to set up a flank with his beast as it gets in position against Kabsi. It gives a powerful bite that is only stopped by Kabsi's cincture of the dragon scales.

R7T17: Skald now speeds towards the thrashing in the water. He ends 10' above the churning maelstrom.

R7T10.3: Rhoha, Kabsi is in a bad way, though doing a hair better, and is flanked again. What do you do?

R7T10.3: Moving through the water into flanking with Kabsi, Rhoha unleashes a flurry of fists at the fish man. The first is a spear-hand to the tail that does 22 to the kopru, 6 to self, and then 5 healing to self. The second strike does is a satisfying 25 (5 self), but the third just barely misses it entirely.

The shark that was biffed by Rhoha previously disappears completely!

R7T10: The kopru, though getting pounded by the larger half-giant, works with his pet to take advantage of the flank on the strange swimming Olman, again going for power over accuracy. He bites Kabsi in the right shoulder for 22; misses with a claw to then hit Kabsi's left hand for 20; then missing with the tail slap. He then moves slightly north. That move north means that neither Rhoha nor Kabsi can do a minor adjust to flank him.

    End Round 7, Begin Round 8 ...

    R8T28:
Hoggie, what do you do? I measured it and Hoggie is even further out than initially expected (sun glare?), at 135' from the closest point of the splashing water area. At this rate, it will take you at least half a minute to get there (20' max/ round with double move, not allowed to run in gaseous form).

Rusty on deck, Kabsi in the hole ...
