Aurora looked down at the map, and then cautiously up at Queue, then back down at the map and up again.
"Umbear, Queue..." she said slowly, "the cracks are not the breach. If they were, we would be struggling a lot more than we currently are. It's just that, in a manner typical of breaches," she glanced at Aurix and nodded, remembering he'd been studying the problem, "the energy from the other plane is leaking out, and like water, it takes the path of least resistance, so up through the cracks in the ground. And so far, none of us have felt any side effects. At least not that anyone's mentioned," she said raising a brow questioningly at the surrounding heroes and allies.
"I think it is more exceptional that you, Queue, have been feeling sick from exposure to the energy, than that anyone else isn't."

"Sounds like we might need to set up an expedition to the sewers or places further underground to see how these cracks may have expanded and what other properties they display. Even if it's not an expansion of the rift, the fact that it can sicken those near them could be problematic. Imagine if they suddenly appear beneath us in the middle of battle?"

Captain Bramwell listens in, "a trip to the sewers hmm?" he says as his raven looks about, "need an extra hand or two?" and then the captain takes another bite out of his bacon. "if we're dealing with some kind of cracks between the planes, theres no telling what ye may find if ye go deeper"

[Andrew Markham]

Aurix rubs his forehead slightly. "I thought you were already heading off to stop bandits on the road, Markas? A sewer trip may have to wait. If the Captain wishes to take up the task, that seems fine. Meanwhile, Princess, I think we should issue a warning to the soldiers, and eventually the people if we have to, to avoid the spots of chaotic energy. It will have an ill effect on anyone from this plane. It's a result of the two planes beginning to seep into each other, and there will be more of those as time goes on." Aurix takes note of the Princess's relative silence and resolves to speak to her about it later.

"Oh I wasn't volunteering myself for the job. Like you said, I'm already booked for a while. I was just merely making the suggestion. As the good captain has already volunteered, anyone else want to accompany him?" Markas asked.

[Wolfykins]

Malaika looked askance at Markas.
"Unless you're talking about something completely different, I don't think we need to imagine the cracks 'suddenly appearing' on the battlefield, considering they're already there? Did you really not notice them, Markas?" she asked incredulously. "The vegetation near the cracks even changed overnight! They're turning red, purple and black and are warping into weird shapes!"

Umbear nodded as he finished his food and stretched. Things were started to waver... boiling down... reducing to non-efficiency. He began running things through his head.

No thats illegal.... no thats illegal... no... thats just wrong.... we dont kick puppers....no we dont kidnap...oh... oh thats it."

Queue turned as Umbear rose from his seat, they lept from the table and latched onto Umbear before sliding into his pouch. Umbear walks around behind the princess. From behind the throne he speaks.

"Markas... Ill meet your in a bit at the Gate, wait for me, I wont be long."

As he came around, standing behind Aurix he spins and grasps Aurix with a single arm coming around to hold him, his hand groping the paladins chest while looking the princess squarely in the eye. His free hand fishing out a potion and coming up to his lips.

"Bored Now. Bye."

As he quaffed the potion Aurix and Umbear turn into wisps of shadow and dissappear from sight.

Elixer of Shadewalking, Umbear and aurix are going mining real quick, and maybe sealing a weak point.

When Umbear and Aurix disappeared, Kestejoo managed to breathe a sigh of relief. The ogre didn't do what he'd appeared to have thought of, it seemed, which was definitely good the stallion's self-esteem. He glanced towards Aurora and murmured, "That ogre... an interesting creature..."

Once he'd finished eating, he excused himself, saying he would return to the field to look over the damages and the troops. Perhaps while he was there, he would find out something useful about the breach and the subsequent cracks.

Have the plumber's guild bring up the full maps of the sewers including areas that were unplummed for known reasons, anything from weak substructure to the presence of minerals could be important. If anyone can get eyes down there unnoticed that would be helpful too, druids who can communicate with rats or vermin that may go unnoticed would likely be my first choice.

As far as cult presence, we need to station lookouts on the rooftops every few blocks, close enough that they can see each other and keeps eyes out across the city. Each should be equipped with a means of signaling. If they're are cultists moving about, the sooner we get eyes on them the better, whether they choose to use the sewers or alleyways.

Gorrun begins scratching out rudimentary grids of the city on the face of his shield using his fingers which were greasy from the sausage he'd been holding.

Geiravor rolled her eyes at Umbear's hasty and dramatic exit.

Geiravor nodded at Gorrun's suggestion. "I can order some information about the sewers. It'll take some time to round up the maps and I don't want anyone going in there alone right now without proper intelligence. Not everyone can see so well in the dark and we don't know what's down there." She looked to Unwin. "Have that basement inventory ready for us before sundown."

Unwin nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty." He replied.

Geiravor looked to Bramwell. "I suggest you and your first mate accompany Jaylyn and her team on their mission. Earn yourself some crafting credit and help get everyone back here faster."

She stood up from her chair. "Everyone has tasks. I want a proper meeting this evening... before the funeral."

"Yes, yes, you're right of course...forgive my absentmindedness earlier. I don't know what came over me," Markas replied to Malika, her incredulousness snapping some sense back into him. "I'll meet you soon Umbear," he replied before his jaw dropped at the Ogre's antics, "I really should be used to his behavior by now, I really should. But sometimes he still pulls off something odd and confusing to all." The monk stood and bowed respectfully to Geiravor, "Until sundown then, your highness." With that he left to join his allies to tackle the problem at the mines.

Jaylyn looked as if she was going to say something, when Umbear vanished... Jaylyn simply let out a sigh. She then looked over at Kest. "That's one way to put it." she said with a sly smile.
She then took on a serious tone and looked over to Gorrun, "Be careful there was a Gargoyle among the cultist." She said with a serious tone.
Jaylyn finally looked over at Geiravor, and spoke "Yes your Highness."

Bramwell gives a slight bow of respect to the princess, "aye aye yer highness" he says and finishes his breakfast quickly

Jaylyn looked down at her empty plate, stroking her shin for a moment before standing. She grabbed the empty plate and walked over to where Princess Geiravor was standing. "Princess Geiravor, May I have a brief moment of your time, in private, before I depart please? I feel that if I delay bring it up any longer. It might be a missed opportunity." Jaylyn said looking more serious then she has in a while.

Bramwell looks to his first mate, "Mister Gil, I want ye ta head back te the ship, keep her well while I help these folk," he says and moves slowly, "where be we meeting fer this escortin' we're te do?" he then asks of the group as he briefly checks himself over to see if he had forgotten anything

Princess Geiravor looked to Jaylyn. "Sure thing. Let's step into my office."

The Princess lead Jaylyn to her nearby office in the grand hall and closed the door behind them. "So, what's on your mind?" She asked.

Jaylyn, after setting the plate on the table, followed Geiravor into her office. "One moment please, I just wanna make sure nobody hiding in here, ease-dropping on us." She said to Geiravor, Casting "See Invisibility" followed by "Detect Magic". Jaylyn first did a visual sweep of the office, then slowed her breathing and closed her eyes allowing her other senses to take over for a few more moments. "Alright it appears to be clear." Jaylyn started opening her eyes again, "I caught most of what was said at the table a few minutes ago, and I have very little reason to doubt what was said. I'm worried that over time without some assistance the constant barrage of enemies from the tower, as well as the chance that it could be expanding outward might strain Juvelnord's forces to the breaking point." Jaylyn paused briefly, her tails swishing side to side. "Allow me to bring in a thousand of Varrock's troops. I think I can do it with very little risk of it being discovered. Kitsune are very VERY good at hiding among humans for extremely long periods of time without being discovered. The plan is simple, I go to W.T.G. link it to Varrock, get the troops here, Break the link with Mage's Disjunction, cover the exits with Illusion, and while Hervir's Funeral march is going on have my troop slide into the crowd and then meet up later on." Jaylyn stopped and turned away from Geiravor, trying to stifle a sniffle and wiped away something from her left eye, "I'm... sorry... I... I... didn't want to use Hervir's death as a means to do this, but I saw no other way to make this plan work without the risk being greater then what it was. If you say no, I'll understand and if you wish for me to drop the issue of bring Varrock's troops into this, I'll make no further attempts to come up with a plan." Jaylyn finished letting one more sniffle escape before slowing her breathing again. and turning back around to face Geiravor, a visible tear flowing down the right side of her face.

Geiravor could see the concern in Jaylyn's eyes. "Fear not, Jaylyn. The whole of Juvelnord's forces are not stationed in the city at this moment. Messengers have been sent to the other cities and villages to tell of the situation here. We are not short on manpower. Even if we were, we, Juvelnords, are a warrior people. The young and old are more than willing to take up arms against invaders as you saw yesterday with the old merchant woman. Also, I can't allow such a security risk to be taken when the situation is contained for now." The Princess replied.

[Erealyn]

Jaylyn nodded as Geiravor spoke, "I... understand," she said with a mixture of relief and a bit of sadness in her voice. "As I said, I will no longer plan for it. However if you ever feel the need, just know that it's an option." Jaylyn smiled, "Well if you'll excuse me, I have some miners to escort. I'm also sure you have some royal business you need to take care of." Jaylyn made a deep bow of respect before turning and walking toward the door. Right before she reach the door she stopped and looked back, "Thank you, I really didn't want to use Hervir's death as a means for doing it." she replied with relief now in her voice. "Umm... do you happen to know where Magnus is? I told him I'd meet up with him before leaving."

Gorrun snaps his sausage in half and eats half in a single bite. I need to deliver orders and handle some business. I'll meet you on the main road, in front of the castle. he then eats the other half, rises, and exits the dining hall. He makes his way to the crafting hall, then to his Centurion to deliver orders. Finally he comes to Viradessa to inquire about any other messages that may have been received before going to the rendezvous point.

Geiravor placed her hand on Jaylyn's shoulder and smiled. "If things go to Hel, I will consider the offer once more. As for Duke Magnus... you could probably find him in the barracks, training." She replied.

[Erealyn]

Jaylyn put her hand on top of Gieravor's hand. "Let's hope it don't get that bad, If it does I doubt the whole of Varrocks force's would be enough. But we'd be willing to try and turn the tide, THAT'S the Varrockian people for ya. If I know my father, he's got our best people coming up with strategies and doubling down on training should it be needed." Jaylyn said turned her head to half face Geiravor, her silver eye facing the princess with a sharp intense focus, but also smiling gently. "Well I'm off, thanks again."

Jaylyn walked out of Geiravor's office, she walked up to the table and grabbed her plate and took it to the kitchen. Afterwards she headed down the barrack's, only pausing to look at those training. She watched those who were training, with a sad smile on her face. 'I miss Varrock, I hope this problem gets resolved soon, so that I can go back to training my own men and women.' She thought before looking around for Magnus. Once Jaylyn spotted Magnus, she walked up to him. "Duke Magnus..." Jaylyn said bowing respectfully, "...Sorry for any delay that I may have caused, but we're ready to depart whenever your miners are."

Magnus was practicing with axes and a flask. One axe was embedded in the chest of a training dummy. He wiped sweat from her brow. "Aye lass! It's fine! If ya ready, I can round up the miners. There's ten of 'em. All dwarves. Make sure they get to the outpost alright." Magnus replied.

[Erealyn]

Jaylyn nodded, "Yes sir, if you don't mind. Would be alright if I traveled with you. I'm afraid that I might get lost getting to the right gate." Jaylyn replied with a light-hearted laugh.

Magnus nodded. "Alright. Come along then. The miners are waiting in the Dwarven guest quarters in the basement." He started to lead Jaylyn back to the castle. "Now, these guys aren't very strong warriors like us. So you'll have to try your best to defend them." They went downstairs to the basement. "I told them not to start drinking and to be ready to leave anytime now. I just hope they are sober." He opened the door to a suite. "Miners, assemble!" There was a long moment of quiet before a single dwarf came into the main living area, scratching her head.

"Oh right. Sorry. Jaylyn, they only speak Dwarven. This is Dworfina Darkfall." Magnus said. Then he switched to Dwarven.

Dworfina replied sheepishly.

Magnus glared.

Dworfina's eyes shifted back and forth.

"I'll get everyone else up."

Dworfina turned around to go back to the room she came from. Slaps could be heard.

After a few minutes, Dworfina returned with nine bloodshot eyed Dwarven males, each with an Adamantine pickaxe.

"I think they're ready." Magnus laughed.

When Magnus said they only speak dwarven. Jaylyn nodded "Quick fix," channeling her inner powers. "Grant me the ability to speak dwarven." she spoke. Jaylyn heard what was said... and sighed.

Dworfina put her index and middle fingers to her mouth, a blew a loud whistle that alerted the other Dwarves to stand at attention.

"Mine Troop 64, queue up and march!" She ordered. The troop of miners instantly lined up behind Dworfina, who looked to Duke Magnus. Magnus began to march out the door and lead Mine Troop 64 and Jaylyn to the castle's main gate to find a waiting Gorrun.

"Good morning, General. Your men are as well trained as I was when I was in their place." Duke Magnus greeted.

[Wolfykins]

Aurora headed out to the battleground, where Kest said he'd be, to let him know it was time to head out, and walked with him to the main castle gate to meet up with Gorrun and the others.

Markas headed towards the main gate, but along the way (even if it's a bit out of the way) stopped at an open clothing shop (if available) to find an appropriate outfit for Hervir's funeral service later tonight. Then he arrived at the main gate...

Captain Bramwell waves to the dining hall with a grin on his bearded face and heads towards the Main Gate of the castle. "Brân, ye keep yer wits about ye an stay close te me. I'd rather not see a repeat of that affair with the shambler crew..." the Captain says to his Raven as he walks. his steps are at a quick pace, though those watching would see he does walk with a slight limp to his right side. "Believe me, the sooner we both forget about that particular affair the better Captain" Brân replied.
Soon enough the pair would arrive at the gate and look for anyone they recognized in the area, Bramwell's tail swishing back and forth as he moved quickly to the rendezvous point
