Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Malaika sighed inwardly when nothing approached the wagon.
"Pardon me, Captain," she muttered, climbing out of the covered wagon at the front, maneuvering around Bramwell before jumping down between the nearest shifter and magus. She ignored the spellcaster, unconcerned about walking by them, her attention focused on the tiger shifter.
"What is even the point of this foolishness?" she asked him. "Is the pay worth it, hmm? If it has been worth it so far, I can assure you, it no longer is!" With a growl, she brought each dagger in her hands to bear, using Gorrun's training.

Discipline: Primal Fury (Stance); Level: 3
Prerequisite(s): One Primal Fury maneuver
Initiation Action: 1 swift action
Range: Personal
Target: One creature
Duration: Stance
DESCRIPTION
By taking a wide stance that invites the death of any before him, the mighty disciple of Primal Fury wields the power of overwhelming force to it’s greatest effects. The initiator ignores difficult terrain when charging while in this stance, and whenever he is subject to a size modifier for CMB checks or to his CMD, the disciple is treated as one size category larger if doing so would be advantageous to him. He is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as grab or swallow whole) can affect him. Additionally, any melee weapon, unarmed strike, or natural weapon is treated as if it were two sizes larger. The benefits of this stance stack with abilities or effects that increase the initiator’s size (such as enlarge person).Spoiler: Aurora

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
A great noise rumbles from the distance. The sound of a storm brewing can be heard, but then it can be heard again... almost rythmatically. again... that was too fast and in sync. the sound grew ever close as low laying storm clouds drew near over the road. Lightning arc'd within them as flashes of light preceded the thunder until the cloud stopped just east of the caravan. With that there is thunder from the cloud as it dissipates, several of the Freedom Fighters begin to fall upward as gravity begins to pull them to the sky. The cloud dissappates as Umbear can be seen Electricity arcs off of him, a Ball of lightning hovering in his hand.

All the Shifters, all the Axe Throwers but teal and light blue, and orange Summoner and his Eidolon in Umbear's range failed to grip the ground and fell upward 10 feet into the air. The Miners were sobered up by the ambush. They were looking all over the field and saw the ship appear out of nowhere. Hearing a command in Dwarven, they were quick to oblige. The five Miners in the fourth wagon were very close to the ship and all quickly boarded. The five Miners in the second wagon, however, were in the wind.
Dworfina cursed mildly. "Bloody Hel. Damned heroes and their big magic. We can't get by it."
"We can drive the horse through the wind though." Edhelm suggested.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
The first barbarian's rapier scored on Malaika's armor and bent, making a metallic twa-ya-yang when the barbarian withdrew it. Malaika laughed loudly at the second barbarian's weak and misdirected insult, so when the beer flew, it missed her eyes and went in her mouth instead. The shobhad woman sputtered and made a face.
"Ye gods, did you stick your mug under those weird centaurs' backsides when they took a piss? That brew is wretched!" she derided scornfully. Wiping her mouth, she looked across the woods at the enemy's disarray and laughed aloud again.

The enemy attacks missed or bounced off his scales, not even leaving a scratch or a blemish. Primal Iron: Primal iron weapons count as cold iron for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction, affecting regeneration, and concerning vulnerability to cold iron. Creatures whose damage reduction is overcome by cold iron, or whose regeneration stops functioning due to a cold iron attack, or who are vulnerable to cold iron take half again as much damage (+50%) from a primal iron weapon (additional dice damage is not increased such as that from a burst special ability or sneak attack damage) as normal.
Ominous: An ominous weapon trails a shadowy haze behind every stroke, and moans a menacing dirge in battle. An ominous weapon adds its enhancement bonus on Intimidate checks made by the wielder. In addition, when an ominous weapon confirms a critical hit, the target is shaken for 1 minute (DC 13 Will negates); if the weapon’s critical multiplier is greater than x2, this condition lasts 1 additional minute per multiple over x2. A creature that gains the shaken condition from an ominous weapon cannot gain that condition again from the same weapon for 24 hours.
Vorpal: Upon a roll of natural 20 (followed by a successful roll to confirm the critical hit), the weapon severs the opponent’s head (if it has one) from its body. Some creatures, such as many aberrations and all oozes, have no heads. Others, such as golems and undead creatures other than vampires, are not affected by the loss of their heads. Gorrun notices the storm rolling in and knows that the weather shouldn't be stormy yet. When the rebels begin to lift off the ground he says. Oh? Someone's called the boogey man.
Pink Barbarian’s beer splashed disappointingly across Gorrun’s chest. Giant? You’ve seen nothing yet. What’s the matter? Can’t get it up any higher than that?
As Lavender Barbarian began attacking, Gorrun attempted to parry, then reposte, each incoming strike.
He continued to Parry and Reposte Brown Barbarian’s strikes.
Oh, you’re just mad because they gave you such tiny swords.
None or the rapiers get through Gorrun’s defenses, not even as the Black barbarian tries their luck.
Red Barbarian’s spell only succeeded in evaporating Pink’s spilled beer.
Thanks for that. I’d hate to rust up out here.

Gorrun only has 8 remaining AoOs before my actual turn begins. If Lavender falls before completing their Full Attack, begin parrying Brown with remainder. If Brown falls, parry Black.
Giving himself a brief moment to catch up, he taps his helm with the pommel of his scimitar and activates a spell within it. Opening himself up to attacks from those around him.
Hit their flanks! Drive them to me! (every ally within 60’ may take a 5ft step on my turn)

Kest managed to chain whip both Axe Throwers.
The Eidolon, lavender Barbarian, and white Axe Thrower blinked furiously. The pink Barbarian and right light gray Axe Thrower looked dazed.
Lavender Barbarian fell dead and brown Barbarian was looking critical.
Gorrun opened himself up for attack, so pink Barbarian, brown Barbarian, black Barbarian, and pink Eidolon attacked!

Aistriú sat alone in the wagon and floundered for a moment trying to decide what to do. "None of my songs are appropriate!" the danthienne muttered. "I either can't reach enough or the effect isn't helpful!"
The tiny fey turned a frustrated eye on the enemies north of the wagon. She pulled a prism and a piece of phosphor out of her spell components pouch and rubbed them together in her hand so the phosphor coated the prism. She held it up so the light shone through it, the glowing phosphor coating it absorbing the light and shining through the prism.
"Rainbow rainbow,
Where do you end,
With a pot of money at the end,
Wish it rains all the time,
So we can see those bright colors,
Shining in you."
As Aistriú sang, a 20' sphere of scintillating rainbow light unfolded like a blooming flower to encompass the enemies north-northeast of Malaika. The danthienne didn't expect to actually entrance all of them, given the level of strength they were displaying, but she hoped to make some kind of impact!Spoiler: Spellcraft DC 19Rainbow Pattern
Spoiler: EffectsA glowing, rainbow-hued pattern of interweaving colors fascinates those within it. Rainbow pattern fascinates a maximum of 24 HD of creatures. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the spell’s point of origin are affected first. An affected creature that fails its saves is fascinated by the pattern.
With a simple gesture (a free action), you can make the rainbow pattern move up to 30 feet per round (moving its effective point of origin). All fascinated creatures follow the moving rainbow of light, trying to remain within the effect. Fascinated creatures who are restrained and removed from the pattern still try to follow it. If the pattern leads its subjects into a dangerous area, each fascinated creature gets a second save. If the view of the lights is completely blocked, creatures who can’t see them are no longer affected.
The spell does not affect sightless creatures.Last edited by Wolfykins; 2018-08-17 at 01:05 PM.

On Gorrum's Turn
Jaylyn shifts 5 feet East.
On Jaylyn's Turn
Upon hearing the suggestion of retreating, and seeing some of the Freedom Fighters attempting this. Jaylyn grew angry, 'I am getting really sick of these people running at the slightest bit of resistance.' She thought, looking down at the floating Grey Axe. "You!! You will do very nicely!" Jaylyn yelled, pointed a finger at the Grey Axe, switching to Draconic, "I will Dominate your mind!"
Spoiler: Spellcraft DC: 24Dominate Monster
Spoiler: DM notesSpell Name:Dominate Monster
Will Save DC: (1d4+39)[43]
Effects:This spell functions like dominate person, except that the spell is not restricted by creature type.
Duration: 22 Days
Spoiler: Dominate PersonYou can control the actions of any humanoid creature through a telepathic link that you establish with the subject’s mind.
If you and the subject have a common language, you can generally force the subject to perform as you desire, within the limits of its abilities. If no common language exists, you can communicate only basic commands, such as “Come here,” “Go there,” “Fight,” and “Stand still.” You know what the subject is experiencing, but you do not receive direct sensory input from it, nor can it communicate with you telepathically.
Once you have given a dominated creature a command, it continues to attempt to carry out that command to the exclusion of all other activities except those necessary for day-to-day survival (such as sleeping, eating, and so forth). Because of this limited range of activity, a Sense Motive check against DC 15 (rather than DC 25) can determine that the subject’s behavior is being influenced by an enchantment effect (see the Sense Motive skill description).
Changing your orders or giving a dominated creature a new command is a move action.
By concentrating fully on the spell (a standard action), you can receive full sensory input as interpreted by the mind of the subject, though it still can’t communicate with you. You can’t actually see through the subject’s eyes, so it’s not as good as being there yourself, but you still get a good idea of what’s going on.
Subjects resist this control, and any subject forced to take actions against its nature receives a new saving throw with a +2 bonus. Obviously self-destructive orders are not carried out. Once control is established, the range at which it can be exercised is unlimited, as long as you and the subject are on the same plane. You need not see the subject to control it.
If you don’t spend at least 1 round concentrating on the spell each day, the subject receives a new saving throw to throw off the domination.
Protection from evil or a similar spell can prevent you from exercising control or using the telepathic link while the subject is so warded, but such an effect does not automatically dispel it.
Spoiler: If the Will save failsAs Jaylyn's move action she'll command the axe thrower to tell the rest of their group that their best bet is to surrender.
Spoiler: If the Will save is madeJaylyn will move 60 feet north.Last edited by Erealyn; 2018-08-20 at 11:07 AM.

Children ripped from their parents and thrown in cages, members of certain races forced into servitude or even killed in cold blood because they were thought of as 'inferior.' Tell me 'freedom fighter' do you see any of that here in Juvelnord?! You think anarchy is some lofty goal? Well how does the sound of this seem to you? Someone beating the crap out of you because you might have looked at them funny, or even jsut because they wanted to, no real reason? Theives making off with your treasures and no one to stop them. Having your body violated for someone's perverse pleasure? Murder and mayhem unchecked and rampant? Is that your idea of paradise? Well guess what, these miners you've been harassing ARE the commone men, just trying to do their job. The only oppressors here are YOU! And there are much bigger problems in the kingdom in case you didn't notice, or is it that you don't even really care. Your only option is surrender, because otherwise, we really don't have time to go easy on you fools!"

The green Magus managed to cast the spell despite being attacked and managed to fly away as Malaika stabbed him again.
Aistriú's Rainbow Pattern shone in the air. Dark blue Eidolon and lime Axe Thrower seemed to look up at the light show.
"Hey guys, we better just surrender. We'll get a trial. Not a fair one, but they probably won't execute us." The gray Axe called out to his fellow throwers.
Markas pummeled the blue Barbarian to death, tripped and disarmed the orange Axe Thrower twice, and beat the green Barbarian to death as well.
The black Thrower gazed into the Rainbow Pattern.

"Noble Monk. Your speech, while long, was not very convincing." The orange Thrower said as he stood back up.
Magenta, teal, light blue, and blue Throwers retreated 120 feet north.
White Thrower ran north, but was blinded, and collided into a tree.
Right light gray Thrower was 20 feet north, 5 feet northwest, and 5 feet north.
"Ah come on guys. Surrender! These guys seem alright!" The gray Thrower continued.
Green Throwers shifted their clothing to reveal a pair of bat-like wings and flew north 120 feet.Last edited by EdgeGrinder; 2018-08-29 at 05:42 PM.

EFFECT
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Target 1 creature
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Fortitude partial; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
You create a bolt of dark energy and use it to make a ranged touch attack that ignores concealment (but not total concealment).
If you hit, the target takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 20d6). Half of this damage is cold damage and half of it is negative energy. The bolt’s shadow expands and covers the target, rendering him blind for the duration of the spell. A successful Fortitude save halves the damage and negates the blind condition.
ranged touch attack roll 42, natural 20, confirm with 25 touch
damage is 79, if critical hit is successful it increases to 148, half is cold damage and the other half is negative energy. eidolon is allowed a fortitude saving throw, DC 23 for half damage, if it fails it takes full damage and is blinded for 21 rounds

Malaika stabbed the orange and yellow Barbarians to death.
Bramwell's spell landed and the Eidolon vanished in a puff of smoke.
Umbear zapped the yellow and blue Throwers. "Damn it to Hel! These royalists are making fun of us!!!" One said. "Let it go, Darville, let it go." The other said. Then he zapped the purple Shifter.

Pink Summoner, his Eidolon, and brown Barbarian shut their eyes with a curse.
After Gorrun's counterattack, the pink Eidolon vanished in a puff of smoke. Black, purple, and brown barbarian fell to the ground, dead, after initiating a barrage of attacks!
"Nice wall. I'd hate to be a moth." Teal Shifter said. The rest of the Shifters were still stuck in the air.Last edited by EdgeGrinder; 2018-08-29 at 05:08 PM.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Aistriú made a tugging gesture with their hand, and the swirling orb of rainbow haze moved 30' closer. The danthienne hopped to pull the entranced enemies in range of Malaika. They didn't bother concentrating on the orb, knowing it would linger for around a minute and a half.

The danthienne fluttered the artificial butterfly wings and landed on the horse.
"Nobody invited you!" Aistriú shouted, glaring at the barbarian. The tiny fey opened their mouth wide and made an inarticulate roar!
A blast of sonic energy burst forth, striking the barbarian in front of the horse for (16d6)[45] damage at stunning force.Spoiler: Spellcraft DC 20Ki Shout

The danthienne eyed the frost giant with considerable concern.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Jaylyn hearing what Ais and Umbear said, she quickly looked around and saw the frost giant. 'Son of a... damnit!' She thought, before looking back at the summoner getting away on the flying eidolon. She called out to Umbear, "Umbear if you're going to do something it needs to happen right now as I'm not sure this will hold him for long... if at all!" Jaylyn pointed a finger at the frost giant and, in Draconic, spoke. "Quickly! Ancestors, constrict that giant!" The Frost Giant began feeling an invisible serpent-like creature coil around them.
Jaylyn then turned to summoner on their flying eidolon to the north. 'You're not getting away. Not if I can help it!' She thought moving 35 feet east, 10 feet north-east, and 10 feet east. 'I have to stop that flying beast if this is going to work... please let this work.' She thought as she summoned up her magic, pointed her finger at the flying eidolon, switching to Dragonic. "Ancestors, constrict that beast!" The Flying Eidolon began feeling an invisible serpent-like creature coil around them.

Blue Barbarian was hit by the shout and dropped his rapier and tankard.
Jaylyn managed to catch the Frost Giant and the flying Eidolon, causing it to drop to the ground.
Markas punched the orange Thrower, kicked blue Barbarian till he was dead, and successfully hit the lightest of the gray Thrower.
Lime Thrower followed the Rainbow Pattern as it moved.
The darkest of the gray Thrower withdrew west.
Yellow and blue Throwers escape the electric "fence" and withdraw north.
Purple Thrower temporarily regained his sanity and moved 20 feet northwest and escaped 60 feet west.
Left light gray Thrower hit himself. Dmg: (1d8)[3]
Orange Thrower moved 20 feet west, downed an extract, and cast a spell on himself.
