...any of the races or classes from the Dragon Compendium? I just curious about the races bit, but I want to know how well the classes played. Were they balanced, fun, unique, etc. I just got the Dragon Compendium and it looks amazing. For those who don't know or need a reminder the races are Diabolus (outsider, anti-humans), Diopsid (beetle people), Dvati (twins), Lupin (werewolf-hunting wolf people), Tibbit (catweres). And the classes are Battledancer, Death Master, Jester, Mountebank, Savant, Sha'ir and Urban Druid.

The Shair works better using the Complete Divine Shaman mechanically for spellcasting arcane spells than the Dragon issue 315 Shair if it was just a reprint and not retooled.

I'd inculde the Ranger spell list to capture some of the old class flavor of occassional access to divine spells.

I'd make the Spirit Guide a Gen with genies being able to sense the Shair's element Air, Eath, Water or Fire.
