    The Grey Garrison beckons to the group. They set off after the distraction groups have taken a head start. Sounds of conflict can occasionally be heard. Some ruins still smolder from the attack, though it has been a week since the initial attack.

    Irabeth and Shauna have the front. The area around doesn't have the fat demons that they slew before. The ruins surrounding the Garrison do not appear to have hidden foes. The doors are locked once again. However, they had the keys, looted last time, and unless the enemy had a very rapid locksmith, it would still work.

    She does spot a window. More like a tiny hatch above and to the left of the door. Easily reachable with the power of their silver scale, but rather small. It will be a tight fit for the meatier people.

    The small window shutter is locked. It doesn't look very secure. A good hit should break it. Or a character with skill could unlock it more simply.

    Hesper picks the lock. The window swings out and open. It's still pretty narrow. Skerak finds the fit too narrow and blasts the way a little more open.

    Beyond is a small closet about 5ft by 5ft, walls lined with small cages. From the looks, it's meant for messenger birds. There's an unlocked door further within.

    Shauna climbs through the window, and through the door as Hesper makes her way inside the closet

    The room outside has a writing desk with quills, parchment and ink. 20 feet by 15, the room is high and inhabited by fat, red-hued flies crawling up the wall. There are three in total, each is about the size of a man's torso. They buzz angrily at the intruder, but Shauna has the drop on them.

    These are demonic flies, native to the abyss. They are immune to acid and lightning, and vulnerable to old iron as all demons are.
    They possess intellect far beyond ordinary insects and can spew a stream of acid.

    The PC side has initiative, but there is no surprise round.

    The PC's can enter the combat one each turn. Presently Shauna is right outside the closet in the room, Hesper is in the closet and Rosa is waiting outside.

    It's a difficult climb up the sheer wall, but anyone managing it can join the fray as an extra combatant.
    (Scaling the wall requires 3 consecutive DC 20 Climb checks to reach the window)

    The flies buzz angrily, one of their number brought low by the heroes. Irabeth, freshly lifted to the floor, moves past Shauna, smiling. "Nice work!" she says, drawing her sword and aiming it at another fly as it swoops past. One fly assails Rosa, the other flies over Irabeth before spewing forth a spray of acid at the heroes, spilling over Irabeth, Shauna and Hesper, with some deflecting off the wall at Rosa.

    Lann and Luna take out one of the flies, and Irabeth moves to take out the last fiendish vermin, her sword pinning it to the wall. She pulls it out, leaving the fly to bleed ichor on the floor.
