Rosa's missiles inflict further hurt on the enemy tiefling. "You race-traitor!" he cries, "Your only worth was to die for our cause!"

Luna retreats from the room, past Rosa and the enemy who is busy ranting at her, and channels her healing energy for Shauna, Skerak, Rosa and the mongrelfolk. Irabeth attempts again to grapple the tiefling, while Hesper tries to distract him to be of assistance, able to see that even blows that land rarely do so tellingly.

The tiefling alchemist struggles in Irabeth's grip, but can't break loose, the half-orc holding him tightly. He has enough time to realize that Shauna, Hesper and Rosa have his number before the three women attack him. Two magic missiles strike him, and he is impaled by two blades. Irabeth pins him to the ground, but the man is unconscious and dying.

Beyond the alchemist's room, the door shakes but does not give. You have time to prepare yourselves, search the room or the alchemist, or, in case of Luna and Shauna, investigate the odd glow of the temple. Or you can unblock the door and spring a surprise on whatever is on the other side.

The room holds a well-stocked alchemy lab with an assortment of rare (and probably evil) ingredients. The table holds a rack of potions, including a few that he have been drunk, likely just now. They are meticulously labeled, holding two marked Potion of Cure Light Wounds, and singles marked Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds, Potion of Barkskin, Potion of Invisibility and Potion of Spider Climb.

In addition, there is a plain sword case on his desk with a letter on top of it.

The alchemist's life is spared. He continues to lie motionless in his room.

Irabeth moves to the door with the rest. She is in decent health. "We can search the area after we've pacified this floor. These are probably the last."

The mongrelmen ready their bows to welcome whatever emerges from behind the door. Luna opens the door as the group is ready, and another blow land on the door. As it swings open, a trio of demons barge in, Dretches, the least of demonkind. Foes they have faced before. The first takes the brunt of the attacks.

"Move out of the cloud, everyone!" Luna moves south, and gets just outside of the cloud before conferring a minor blessing upon Shauna. Lann follows suit, but is unable to shake off the effects. He goes as far south as he can trying to follow Luna , but he probably isn't able to move far enough to get out of the cloud.

Lann does as well, but ends up close to the demon, seeing it through the billowing cloud but unable to fight through his nausea. Rosa and Hesper make their way out of the fog to the West, as do the mongrelmen.
