Belkar is fantastic as always.

So it looks like the negative energy spirit does have it's own identity; being overwhelmed by Durkon's experiences suppresses it rather than overwriting it.

I imagine over time it would reach some type of equilibrium.

A lot of buildup to this part of the arc, but so worth it. Particularly appreciate how fast theu've been coming now that we got here. Tells you that these strips didn't need the usual rewriting/drawing to be just right....because they've been planned this way since forever.

Look at the chair more carefully. There are ashes there. No Raise Dead, but he can still be Resurrected--and Raise Dead doesn't work on people turned into undead anyway.

The trick might be getting Hilgya to do it.

Ashes will work for a Resurrection, and it seems some are sitting in the chair. And Hilgya is high enough level to cast the spell.

Now comes the tough part; the Order needs to convince Hilgya to *cast* said Rez. And they best start talking soon, before she pulls a V/L and blows the ashes away.

Undead can't just Resurrect themselves. They need to be destroyed first.

She does, the issue was Durkon couldn't rez himself, as the Vampire has to be dead, thus releasing Durkon's soul, to be Rezable.

The dust will most likely do. Also depending on the rule set there is ways around a body as long as you can clearly identify the person your trying to REZ name birthday death day ext . Its about forming a solid link to your target .. Worst case the order may be able to wrangle a wish item from the dwarven high mukky mucks for saving there hides.

If she can prepare and cast Empowered Flame Strike, she can prepare and cast Resurrection.

Other editions aside, in this edition, having no remains at all and describing the resurrection target only works for True Resurrection. Not relevant as they have the ashes.
