“Three veggie subs, no cheese“ from 532 might imply that the three of them are vegan (or maybe they don’t like cheese)

To disprefer cheese by a dietic basis is vegan: although it is not meat, the manufacture requires harvesting cows' milk and then slaughtering a heifer.

As a Wisconsinite I cannot fathom a lack of cheese - but still, I consider it an ethical inevitability for me to go vegan.

No. A vegetarian doesn’t eat meat. A vegan doesn’t eat any animal products, including meat. Therefore all vegans are also vegetarian, as vegans don’t eat meat.

In the real world, lactose tolerance is pretty rare outside of the descendants of northern Europeans and certain nomadic groups in Africa and central Asia, and they probably don't have cows in the Elemental Planes, so lactose intolerance seems pretty plausible.

Carnivores and herbivores can only eat meat and plants respectively when omnivores can eat either.

Plus, elementals and non-native outsiders don't even have to eat at all, and I believe Celia(a Sylph) falls under the latter.

But in the real world, lactose tolerance is due to a mutation. It seems unlikely, especially in light of what Thor said about natural selection, that it arose the same way in the OotS world. Rather, it would seem the gods included it from the get go, just like any other genetic traits, and therefore outsiders shouldn't necessarily be less likely a priori to have that specific trait unless that's what the gods wanted for some reason.

Don't know if it's already been discussed here (probably yes, after all, internet forum), but I've just noticed that Vaarsuvius' Gust of Wind generated a pretty strong wind, since it was able to knock Kubota's armor off the boat.

It stands to notice that Elan, who was in position to know what kind of armor Kubota was using, seemed to consider that such armor would make it harder for him to swim. Kubota's worried face seemed to agree to that.

A magic armor (and Kubota's armor is magic)is always a Mastercraft one, which means its check penalty is reduced by 1. That means the lightest armor he should be wearing (to have at least -1 check penalty) would be a Chain Shirt, and V would need a pretty strong wind to make such armor fly away as it did.
Each one of us, alone, is but a drop in the sea
Our powers pale compared with the great heroes
Our battles don’t hit theheadlines or shake the earth
But they are few, can’t be everywhere, and we, many
So, when the world or universe needs saving, they come
But when people needs saving, we are the ones to appear
We're underdogs, but we rise up to the challenge to be heroes.

Never thought about it, but it makes sense. It's a second level spell, and can, for instance, explicitly heel over a small boat. Never noticed the armor among the ashes though.

It's not something I recently noticed but it always makes me smile when I "rediscover" it.

When Elan's mom is explaining the compelx seating arrangement she devised in #725 asking does anyone have questions. It always takes me a bit to notice that yes, they *all* do.

I'd never noticed (or at least remembered) that she uses the concept of prime number. The tables all seem to just have four chairs. So unless the chairs are moved a prime number just means 2 or 3 guests as opposed to 1 or 4. Maybe one of the other waitresses is handling the square numbers.
