    Default Heroes of Eberron (OOC)

Hi everyones, this is the OOC thread for the Eberron game I am running. I hope that everyone has fun, and that this game goes well. Here are a few rules things that I would like to clarify before the game starts
    • I will be using milestone leveling, you will gain a level after every two or three missions
    • I will also be using the Xanathars Guide downtime tules for downtime between adventures. I will be doing the rolls for that, and if you don't own Xanathar's just tell me what you want to do during the downtime and I will resolve it. Although buying uncommon and common magic items doesn't take any downtime.
    • For skill checks, Whenever you think you are doing something that could be a skill check roll with whichever skill and attribute you think is most applicable. If you have a relevant toolkit you are proficient in you get advantage. I will also sometimes ask for skill checks.
    • I will be doing rolls for initiative, and I will be using side initiative, just one roll for each side in combat and whoever's side wins goes first. People on the same side go in the order that they post. (If this doesn't work for anyone, tell me and I'll try to work something out.
    • I will try to get at least one post in per day or two days, and that is the pace I'm hoping this game goes at.

Everyone post your character sheets, and the link for the IC is here.

Edit: the 1/3rd milestones are a good idea, and I will try to use inspiration more. Also, I will be using the Environmental Elements rule from Wayfinders. Basically, I write a list of what stuff is in the area that a combat is happening in (Stuff like ominous statues, jungle canopy, roaring fireplace, and crystal chandelier) and if you work one of those into the description of your action you get advantage on your roll. (Or extra damage/movement/etc)

    Thanks, Lukituk.

Here is Lady Oren the Pious.

I won't argue with you, but we've attempted milestone leveling IRL and found it a little loose and dissatisfying. I imagine the sparse pacing of PbP games may well compound that in feeling adrift from measurable accomplishments. May I suggest that at the least when a goal is met you announce "Milestone 1/3 complete" or something similar?

Also, I don't know your feelings on Inspiration, but I've found it's a great instant reward that encourages players taking risks. My suggestion is you use them plenty lest we forget we they're an option.

    Here's Merveaux d'Cannith.

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show
The young Artificer blew the last of the sawdust off the finished wand. Ten and a quarter inches, mahogany, reasonably pliant. It was perfect. She glanced up as a soldier walked into her tent. She'd been with the Brelish army for several months, crafting and repairing wands for their arcaneers. Merveaux got to her feet, and offered the wand to the soldier, handle first.

"I hope it's up to your expectations, Captain." She said, smiling softly.

The Captain took the wand, glancing down at it and scowling. "Didja have to make it so... froufrou?"

Merveaux took a deep breath. This wasn't the first time she'd been asked that question. "Every wand crafted by these hands is a unique work of art, Captain. I cannot, and will not, apologize for art."

"It 's unnecessary. Inefficient. We coulda used the time and resources for something better." The Captain crossed his arms, angrily.

Merveaux's smile became brittle and cold. "I'm sorry, Captain. I'm afraid I must have misheard you. Because it sounds to me as though you're being given a free wand, handcrafted by a Dragonmarked Heir of House Cannith, and you have the gall to be so uncouth as to complain. By all means, if you'd rather have a wand that isn't so... "wasteful", feel free to go buy one yourself from a half-trained magewright who doesn't know a phoenix tailfeather from a dragon heartstring!" Her voice rose in a crescendo, until she was practically shouting at the end of her tirade.

The Captain muttered an apology and shuffled out of the tent.

Merveaux d'Cannith was born and raised in Sharn. She knew nothing but wealth and privilege until she was sent into war. Being a noncombatant, she was protected from the worst of it, but she still saw her share of horrors. Luckily for her, she was able to keep herself occupied with her work, and doing what she could to keep her friends and comrades alive. When the war was over, she returned to Sharn, and eventually opened her own boutique. She sells all manner of magical items, but her true specialty, her one and only passion, is wands. She can often be found in her workshop, tinkering with her personal collection. No two of her wands are alike, even those that carry the same spell within them.

Merveaux is a bit of a drama queen, and has a certain flair about everything she does. She's a fashionista, considering no outfit without glammerweave to be complete. However, she's not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get dirty, either. Her work requires rare and exotic ingredients, and someone has to go get them. One of her friends from the war, a Warforged named Chisel, minds the shop while she's away.

Years later, an older Merveaux inscribes a delicate pattern on a new wand. Eleven and three quarter inches, oak, unyielding. A single phoenix feather was carefully set in the wand's core. The Artificer smirks as she completes her work.

"Chisel, darling? I believe it's time to test my new project." Merveaux swishes the Wand of Fireball through the air.

The large Warforged trudges into the room, his face expressionless. "I am sorry, Merveaux, but I cannot hold my metaphorical tongue any longer. Your skill is prodigious, but this wand is not yet ready."

Merveaux waves a hand, airily. "Nonsense. I've perfectly prepared for this moment. Come along now, darling." She struts from her workshop, and takes an air coach down to the ground, where she can find a place to test her new wand. Chisel reluctantly follows. When they reach the spot, Merveaux holds her wand out, taking a deep breath. She flicks it towards her target, and the wand explodes, obscuring her in a cloud of smoke.

Chisel cries out in alarm, and runs toward his friend. The smoke clears before he can reach her, revealing Merveaux standing there, her face and clothes blackened with soot. The splintered stub of the wand still clutched in her hand, she coughs out a mouthful of ash, and turns to face the Warforged. "You know, darling... I'm not entirely certain this one was ready."

Looking forward to playing with you all! I think that I'll speak in Purple.

    And here's "Noruva" - once Aglaia d'Cannith.

Undecided on a color yet, after work I'll look through the options and pick one that's different enough from others' choices.

With the simplified initiative of sides taking turns it may not come up, but I offer making tables for things like who's done what each round. Makes it easier for me to remember who's injured.

    Captain Graves

I shall go with Fire Brick Red

    Spoiler: Backstory/Character Info
    Show

    Graves The Bone Knight

    Appearance:
Grave, Graves, or Captain Graves as they are often called is a knight of average build and clearly of slightly slimmer stock then some of his bulkier fellows leaving them looking rather unassuming among the rank and files of the Bone Knights. Neither too tall nor too small while he may wear the stylized metal skeletal armor of his fellows Grave's armor is relatively plain despite their rank and acclaim though perhaps no less sinister in appearance. They wear about them a sturdy if somewhat ragged cloak and drape of Karrnathi red with a lining of fur about the neck to ward off the biting chill of their countries winters and favor gambersons and clothes in muted colors of almost rusty red and brown. Strapped to their hip is a plain longsword with the filigree R of Rekkenmark. Though the sword shows noticeably less use then the wicked looking glaive Graves typically keeps slung over their shoulder or back the sheath and handle of the weapon are worn enough to hint that the Captain is a man who knows how to use the weapon. They wear the mark of their rank, like all Karrnathian knights and military, emblazoned upon a small insignia shield which is bolted to their left shoulder plate. Graves speaks in a low rasp their voice warped somewhat by their helmet, but typically legible unless they begin cursing. Then their voice becomes soft and muffled as they wear under their breath usually with only one or two very creative choice words becoming clear here or their if one was to listen closely. Graves distinctly makes it a point to never remove their armor leaving the only part of the Captain that can be seen being their eerie silver eyes.

    Personality:
Graves despite their dower appearance and uncanny rasp is a rather good natured sort though their distinctly morbid sense of humor can often be off-putting for some. They enjoy playing upon others expectations and are well known for their sharp wit and even sharper tongue though they favor puns and generally gentle teasing for their own amusement. Graves though is perhaps best known for being level-headed, practical, and slow to anger though in truth they are less slow to anger than it is difficult to tell when they are angry. Given that Graves themselves prefers never to remove their helmet or armor unless in private thus there is little that can be seen of the Captains face to indicate their mood. If asked why they prefer to remain armored Graves will cite rather horrific war wounds from which they received their nickname and a dislike of having said injuries gawked at. Despite this they do not have any personal dislike of being stared at in general as Bone Knights by nature are meant to be impressive and intimidating and Graves does love a rousing game of "Spot The Knight of The Silver Flame." Graves holds a deep seated and personal hatred for said knights and for Thrane itself. However while they have great disdain of those from Thrane they have little against the average common man or woman their conflict centering more with the church then the people. Though they feel much of Thrane is steeped up to their eyeballs in their own hypocrisy. The majority of their sharp edges and scorn both literal and figurative are reserved for the Knights themselves. It is this same hatred that fuels Graves general dislike of any organized religion or churches which has only been further enforced with their less then pleasant dealings with the Emerald Claw. Any unjust deed done in the name of a god to justify the actions of man is one of the few things that will send the Captain into a fury.

All and all though Graves is an easy going sort with a distinct soft spot for certain types of intelligent undead such as Death Knights. They do their best to treat the dead and undead with as much dignity as can be afforded and avoids raising the dead where they can with the understanding that such actions are those of war time necessity. That said they are staunchly against persecution of any intelligent being living or dead simply due to their race, religion, or state and other such things one cannot help. Thus leading to the Bone Knight often finding themselves the unintentional champion of more then a few unusual individuals.

    Background:
"I entered the war at the age of sixteen summers, an early graduate of Rekkenmark, and served as a squire under Sir Garon Helms, a Bone Knight the likes of which I one day hoped to become. Little did I know my wish would be granted far sooner then I might have liked. Sir Helms was an older veteran and I was placed with him because it was believed he would be able with his experience to look after a young squire and green recruit like myself that had shown great talent, but had yet to get my first taste of battle. Of course there is little that one man can do when outnumbered ten to one, even a man as skilled as Sir Helms was." Graves rasped their voice echoing from within the blackness of their helm.

"We were escorting a small squad of around twelve men not including ourselves sent to bring medical supplies and reinforcements to the battered seventy-seventh company. We never made it there, but were instead jumped by a Thrane platoon lead by a group of three Knights of the Silver Flame. Our squad was cut down quickly, Sir Helms holding his own for a time with me shielding his back, but eventually one of the knights got a lucky hit in and my mentor of all of two weeks died a quick and bloody death. Too quick for the Silver Flames liking. You see they had wanted to make the 'heretic' pay for his 'sins' as it were and had planned to torture my mentor till he repented for his ill doings and denounced his 'gods' ignorant of the fact Bone Knights rarely keep to such beings. So they took me instead, a squire of less then a moons turn, and had me pay for my mentors crimes. They heated their swords in that argent flame and pressed the red hot blades to the skin of my arms and legs. When that did not break me they stripped the shirt from my back and burnt the flesh from my neck to the end of my spine with their damned silver flame before striking me across the face with one of their heated gauntlets and taking my sight for a time with their damnable fire. Then the storm came. That blessed blessed storm and fearing being caught out in the weather they forced me to blindly dig my own shallow grave before slitting my throat and dumping my body there. Only they didn't wait for me to die nor take into account the stiff wire woven into the Rekkenmark uniforms collar. I lived and as the sky wept I dug my way out of that shallow grave, healed my eyes and throat as best I could, took Sir Helms armor for my own to protect myself and limped to warn the Seventy-Seventh. The rest is as you say....history." The Bone Knight rumbles out with a soft haunting chuckle their eerie silver eyes flashing still ever bright with the flame that had once burned them.

Captain Graves is perhaps one of the more enigmatic and eccentric of Karrnath's Bone Knights, but few can fault their results. True to their word their first appearance is recorded as a mute and nameless Bone Knight arriving on the scene of a pitched assault by Thrane forces on the beleaguered Karrnathian seventy-seventh company who having lost their Captain and Sergeant in the initial assault fell under the command of the injured knight. Who proceeded to rally their forces pulling them back into the woods where they held off the Thranish forces with a mixture of clever hit and run tactics and tactical uses of the Thranes own reanimated dead soldiers. Eventually forcing the Thranes to retreat and allowing the Seventy-Seventh a moment of respite. It was during this time the nameless Bone Knight was able to identify themselves writing out their short story briefly for the few in the company who could read explaining themselves to be not as a Knight, but Sir Helm's Squire having survived the initial attack after digging themselves out of their own grave. Thus earning them the nickname Graves which shortly became Captain Graves when word from the main camp reached them that another officer could not be spared and given their Rekkenmark training, squireship, and now battlefield experience Graves was hereby field promoted to Captain and the Seventy Seventh was thereby ordered to hold their line until such a time as relief came.

Relief would not come for another year. Having lost nearly half their men in the initial assault and with command reluctant to send more warm bodies to what they considered a dying company that existed merely to act as a meatshield to slow down any assault from Thrane or Aundair and lead by a barely trained Bone Knight. Thus Graves kept their company to the woods and hills utilizing hit and run tactics and established footholds to hold their line rather then utilizing typical military tactics. Though their low numbers forced the Knight to supplement their forces heavily with undead in order to maintain their ranks and badger any passing Bone Knight for lessons or tips to aid their own self study. However after surviving a year without reinforcements and on their own wit and metal Captain Graves finally found a use for their company in the eyes of the chain of command worth earning them a small reprieve.

While most Karrnathian companies were willing to work with your average group of skeletons or zombies so long as they were held upon a tight leash their presence was often disturbing to the rank and file commoner. With the likes of intelligent undead proving downright terrifying to those companies unused to the presence of undeath. Desperate for reinforcements however, the seventy-seventh at this point boasted the largest undead to living ratio of soldiers with the men having grown used to their presence. With few companies willing to take up the likes of intelligent undead and Graves desperate for the knowledge and experience such once living warriors might bring the Captain levied a request for as many such soldiers command could spare. Leading to the Seventy-Seventh becoming a 'staging ground' as it were for any turned Karrnathi warriors. Eventually becoming known as a the Gravediggers for their willingness to take freshly resurrected intelligent undead with the Seventy Seventh working to reintegrate the 'new recruits' to military un-life. Leading to the 'recruits' either staying on with the company or being positioned with another company once the intelligent undead had learned to better blend in with their living fellows. Leading to Captain Graves boasting two Death Knight Sergeants in addition to his one living one and the company gaining a reputation for unorthodox battle strategies and terrifying fear tactics.

It wouldn't however be till the Day of Mourning that the Seventy-Seventh would perhaps prove their greatest worth. Stationed along the Cyre border the company was rocked by the shockwaves of a massive explosion as across the waters Captain Graves watched in growing horror as the land itself burned. Unsure if this was an act of war or not, but recognizing a disaster when they saw one Graves rallied every undead unit with a smidgen of sentience in their ranks, took command of every water going vessel that could be found in Vurgenslye and set off across the water to evacuate as many civilians and their own troops as possible. Counting on his own resistance and that of the undead to survive the magical irradiation overtaking the land the Seventy-Seventh in all would make fifty three trips across the water. With Captain Graves heading forty one of them before the sickness set in leading to them losing consciousness with their final waking order being to continue the evacuation until they could no longer find anyone to evacuate. Eventual their Death Knight second in command Sergeant Vyce ruled that they had saved all they could and had the company pull back to Vurgenslye where the injured and refuges could be tended to till help could arrive. Leading to Sergeant Vyce staying on to maintain control of the Company while second Sergeant Malik escorted the sick Captain Graves to Korth for more in-depth treatment.

Graves would awake once more in Korth to a notice that they were temporarily relieved of military service as their actions underwent investigation. Though they would, to their surprise, be quickly reinstated as word got out about said investigation prompted civilian and military outrage. Leading to Graves learning that in those harried seemingly endless hours after the explosion that they had rescued not only the twenty-fifth company with their actions which had been trapped on Cyre's shore, but the surviving half of the fifth company, and over five-hundred civilians. Launching them from the ranks of a no name Captain of a last chance company to a hero in the eyes of the common folk. Though when Graves accompanied by Malik would return to the Seventy-Seventh company and overlook those waters towards the twisted land that had once been Cyre they did not feel like much of a hero.

With greater acclaim though came new and more difficult challenges. With the Emerald Claw black marked as a radical terrorist organization their flight took many among the Bone Knights ranks with them. Many Bone Knights who had themselves given into the siren call of undeath and could hold sway over weaker mortal minds. Thus the Seventy-Seventh found itself re-purposed not for the war abroad, but for the war within as Captain Graves and his company were set on the trail of the Emerald Claw with orders to hunt down and destroy any insurgents. The Captain and his own Sergeants delving into the dark twisting tunnel of their enclaves to slay them within the cabals own strongholds if need be. Though peace would put a noticeably shorter leash on the Seventy-Seventh with the majority of their forces put into storage. Captain Graves however would given their service proposition the King requesting to be able to keep at least their two Sergeants and the core members of the Seventy-Seventh's forces on active duty together. While Kaius III agreed to the Captains request given their work in his name they asked for something in exchange before he would release them into Captain Graves care.

With peacetime reigning the King had decided to release a few of his loyal Bone Knights from active duty to do 'Tours of Goodwill' about the countryside aiding the common man, rescuing damsels and towns, and other acts that made Karrnath appear in good light. In exchange for their request he asked that Captain Graves be the first to join this tour leading to the good Captain venturing to the Clifftop Adventurers guide in search of just such jobs. In truth though the King had released Captain Bones for a far different quieter mission. To continue their hunt of the Emerald Claw where they may have fled to gain allies abroad and root out the cabals of the Blood of Vol wherever they might be found.

    Character Goals:
-Root out and destroy the Emerald Claw and the Blood of Vol's cabals wherever they can be found.
-Earn acclaim and goodwill towards Karrnath
-Locate the three Knights of the Silver Flame that tortured and scarred them and repay their 'kindness'
-Get rich, get drunk, see the world, have a good time
-Maybe make some friends who aren't you know...undead. Since apparently when they said to make friends they didn't mean it literally.

    Spoiler: Story
    Show
His first memory is the lab. He was shackled to a table, barely able to move anything but his head. Men and women moved about the room having conversations he could barely hear and scarcely understand. The smell of burning ozone filled the air, shattered form of a warforged - that's what he was, a warforged - crackled and smoked on the table next to him.

"I hope this one can handle it," said someone, and the warforged felt himself being held from both sides, "it might be months before we can develop another prototype."

Skilled fingers opened his chest, the plating folding away to reveal the livewood musculature and the cavity roughly where a heart might be.

A man - the one in charge, the warforged thought - approached, gingerly holding a golden sphere. It was ringed with dragonshards, and shimmered with rainbow hues. Carefully, deliberately, the man placed the sphere in the waforged's chest cavity, and then his plating was closed again.

"Now we wait," said the man. But the warforged never found out what they were waiting for, because everything went white. He could hear screaming, but it sounded very far away.

    "You're alive. How marvelous!"

The warforged wasn't sure how much time had passed. He was... somewhere else, but he didn't know how he'd gotten there. There was dead-grey mist as far as he could see. Her remembered the screaming now, and... the mist? And gorgons.

"We'd best get moving. Everything's gone very strange here. I can guide us to safety, but we have to go."

The voice sounded wise and comforting, and the warforged didn't have any reason to argue. As they traveled, the voice taught him things. The warforged had an instinct for fighting, which came in handy. But the voice showed him how to harness magic, how to make it a weapon or a shield. The warforged's confusion began to fade, and he began having conversations with the voice. The voice knew things, but couldn't articulate why. The warforged could relate to that.

One day, the mists gave way to sunlight. The voice suggested they find people, and the warforged agreed. It took more time but they found a road, and from there a village.

"Simply act like you belong here," said the voice, "people don't question someone who belongs there."

The voice was right again. The warforged got some strange looks, but he moved with confidence and assumed purpose, so people went about their business and he was largely left alone.

    "Hey mister!"

Largely left alone. The warforged turned. It was a small human -- a child. They were called children. And this kind was called a girl. The girl ran up to the warforged, a broad grin on her little face.

"I never seen you before," she said.

"Nor I you," responded the warforged. The little girl laughed.

"You're funny," she said, "my name's Aislinn. What's yours?"

This gave the warforged pause. He'd never had a name. He hadn't really needed one, in the mists. He was himself, the voice was the voice, and everything else was very strange. As he ruminated on this, the voice made a suggestion.

"Altar," said the warforged, with a voice like a rumbling song, "my name is Altar."

The voice presented a question. Altar voiced it.

"Aislinn, do you know where the Sky City is?"

"Ya mean Sharn? Um..." she pointed, "that way, I think."

"Thank you Aislinn," said Altar, "goodbye."

"Okay, bye," said Aislinn, waving vigorously as Altar walked away. He paused. Turned. And waved back. Then he resumed his trek. He walked for quite a while before asking the question that had come to him.

    "Do you have a name?"

"I... don't know," replied the voice.

"Then I will call you Voice," said Altar. Voice agreed.

Sharn was a long walk. But once they arrived, Altar the Voice were very busy. At Voice's direction, Altar started helping people with problems. He would find things, or people. He would put his power to use protecting. Or killing, if a thing was too dangerous. People rewarded him with coin for his trouble. They started to call him an adventurer. He met other adventurers, and with them he went to new places, Places where they found, and protected, and killed. But they always returned to the Sky City. That was where they were supposed to be.

Altar is known as a regular of the Clifftop Adventurer's Guild. He can be odd, even for a warforged - sometimes he just stares off into space, or talks to himself - but he's reliable, good-natured, and oddly charming. It's something about his manner, like he's naive and wise at the same time. It makes people open up.

Altar uses this shade of blue.
Voice is this golden orange - not that you're likely to hear it.

Quick question for Shimmer - Are we unable to discern Grave's gender due to the armor and such? I've been pretty confused by your posts until I saw you also let the line blank on your character sheet. You're keeping this a mystery?

Also, I edited the post with the environmental elements for this combat, although barring some extenuating circumstances my chase that progressed into a combat in one round might progress into an interrogation in one round.

    I'll clarify.

Your consistent use of "their" as a non-binary pronoun is confusing me about to whom you are referring, and I keep losing track of who is in the scene.

So my question is; is that a conscious choice on your part as a storytelling element (the PCs can't discern Graves' gender under all that heavy bone armor) or an element of the character in conforming to a non-binary gender. And if it's the latter, are the PCs aware of this and how are they to refer to Graves (Graves is always a "they" in conversation, rather than "he" or "she")?

If I am referring to you in a scene I will specify you by name typically as you can see I did with Atlas though I don't think any of my sentences are particularly confusing in terms of who Graves is referring to. I tend to use they and their a lot as a writer since you don't tend to go around thinking of yourself as 'she' or 'he' you think of yourself as 'me.'

As for Graves your character sees what they see. Refer to them as you will though most Karnathians and the few stories that have cropped up by word of mouth in regards to them refer to them as He. If you want to learn more about them you'll just have to get to know them in play. ^_^

Sorry I'm a very traditional rper. I feel that characters should learn more about one another through interaction and the ooc explanations to some extent take away from valuable would be scenes.

Edit: Having re-read the posts for a fifth time I can't really see how they are confusing. Since I am posting for my character describing their appearance and actions and refer to any person that is not my character either by name, title, or position. Such as the Priestesses or the Assassin, or Atlas. You can be safe to assume that if I don't specify your character then I am referring to mine as writing your characters actions rather then my own would be godmodding.

Edit2: However, if anyone else is having this issue with my posts please speak up and I will see about cutting out the more flowery descriptives if they are causing undue confusion.

I'm pretty accustomed to reading about characters with 'they' pronouns, so I didn't run into any difficulties on that front... But there were a couple of points where I had to mentally add a comma or hyphen to follow what was being said. I have no idea if the extra punctuation is grammatically necessary, or just useful for indicating how I would read it aloud.

For example: "they leveled their weapon at the man their gaze sparking with morbid interest." Were that my post, I would have put a comma like man, their, breaking up the description to its components. Is that the kind of thing you mean, Gorgon_Heap?

I think to simplify the question was "Is Graves' gender indiscernable?" I am pretty sure your response was a "yes" but not 100% sure.

Yes. They are wearing full plate. However I will try to be a bit more careful with my grammatical game. Sadly I have been a bit distracted getting ready for a convention.

So, what I meant by having Merveaux say "It's all so dreadfully uncouth" was supposed to be something along the lines of "violence really isn't my favorite thing." It wasn't like she was trying to make light of the current situation.

Didn't want to argue it IC, but having two people comment on it made me think I was being unclear.

You were not in any way unclear. I was making an IC observation regarding our PC's cultural and social disparities.

Someone's earned their eye-keeping privileges. If it's ok with the others once the assassin answers our questions we'll bring him back to the church.

@kvard51 is there anything else you want to do outside the warehouse that the Emerald Claw is using as a base? If not, I could have you arriving at the temple while they're discussing moving the prisoner.

With our employment connections to the Clifftop Adventurers Society, would we know of or have any resources for holding a prisoner?

The Cliff top Adventuring Society is more of a social club and a place to find patrons and jobs, so they wouldn't have a place to keep and store a prisoner. Although in a worst case scenario you can use one of the more discreet meeting rooms as an impromptu interrogation room. If you want your characters to have done a job for someone with those resources, you can say that, although then you might owe them a favor later.

@Gorgon_Heap, your character would know that one of the larger churches in Sharn probably has quarters for templars to interrogate prisoners.

josienoms, you have a shop, but people being dragged into the backroom/workshop to be interrogated is somewhat off-putting to customers.

@Kvard51, House Thuranni can definitely smuggle a prisoner to a nearby hidden blacksite and give you the tools to extract some information, but you know that would mean you would owe them and they would get even more leverage against you.

If anyone else has any ideas, tell me about them and I'll tell you if they seem plausible.

@Shimmer The party has been making some very convincing arguments against the Emerald Claw. I'd like you to make a DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion) check with advantage to see how well Thomas is convinced by it.

Hey, Perficio, I don't know what your avatar is, but my kids just saw the open thread on my screen and went bonkers. So I guess good on you.
