Legacy of Fire SoP/SoM/PoW III: The Revengening

Hearing the sound and feeling the skin-tingling rush of a magical detonation from behind him, Alssariq whirls and rushes to the edge of the building, peering over it to see what's wrong. The open door, and a violently gesturing Shardizhad, send him cursing back towards the skylight.

Akaash sees Alssariq returning and decides to maintain his position, waiting for the opportune moment.

Rowan

Hearing the magic detonate behind him and seeing the door crash open below, a manic grin spreads on Rowan's face. He grips his staff tightly and prepares to see how these Kucherra* enjoy having their place broken into. "Where're we dropping boys?" Rowan asks as he prepares his magic to warp space to his will.

Ready an action to Teleport an ally into the warehouse. If the location is outside of close range will spend a Spell Point to make it medium range. Kinda wish I had group teleport for this but one at a time will have to do.

Goma gives a sidelong glance to Malak for his antiquated insult before taking his place in front of the open door.

As he enters a battle stance he says "Uh, yeah. What he said."

Akaash shrugs, whispering to those on the roof. "Well, I suppose we ought to lend a hand."

He calmly smashes through the glass and steps into the air, his fall slowed by a rush of wind, which he gathers in his hands, then hurls into the middle of the floor before touching down gently on a crate.

Khwaja Malak steps to the side, putting him in line with the door (but not standing quite at the door). "I will go in after you," he says to Goma. In the meantime, he ups his awareness, getting ready to smack aside sword or bolt or arrow as necessary.

"First come first served," Rowan says before he begins chanting, He port's the Water Prince down into the room, behind an unsuspecting goon.

Rowan will spend 1 SP to teleport the Water Prince behind the south most green enemy. Next round he will teleport Riq nearby the Water Prince for support.

Knowing the warehouse is teeming with dangerous enemies, Water Prince Rafiq Karim knows better than to commit everything to the first attack. As soon as he is 'ported into place, he stabs his enemy in the back while keeping an eye out for other dangers. Then, regardless of that enemy's ability to continue to fight, he darts to the west and atop some boxes.

Akaash's air drop was enopugh to take out most of your opponents; no doubt these are merely dock workers keeping the legitimate part of the business afloat. the one that was out of range ducked past the Water Prince and is currently struggling to open the door.

The Water Prince holds up his rapier and Aziz takes it. He then takes out his bow shoots the man 15' west of his position.

Turning to Riq, Rowan grins and says, "Looks like it has mostly been sorted out down there. Which means the really tough guys are guarding somewhere else." Rowan shakes his head in disappointment, "Hopefully wherever that is has something shiny for us to pocket. Down you go then, keep all hands and feet you feel attached to inside the spacial warp until you reach your destination now."

Teleport Riq down to the floor of the warehouse.

Akaash dart across the room, stopping adjacent to the man struggling with the door. He crosses his arm, "Why don't you stop that and we can have a little chat." A breeze swirls around him as a reminder of what just happened.

The last guard is hit in the arm and jumps back upon seeing Akaash's sudden appearance "Okay, okay I give up!" He snaps the haft of the arrow off and looks up to Akaash. "What do you want?"

Akaash waves his companions over to speak with the worker. He speaks softly, a threatening performance hardly necessary given recent events, "Start by telling us what you know about who is in charge around here."

Rowan

Rowan finally teleports himself down and rejoins the others.

The man, clutching his injured arm. "Maysam Fajr. She's runs the warehouse." Despite his pained expression, you hear a bit of derision in his voice "What, are you a bunch of do-gooders? These workers are under contract to the city and are all bought and paid for. Maysam gave us a description of you guys, so I guess she knew you were coming."

"Where's her office?" demands the Water Prince, who grabs his rapier from the monkey sitting on top of his head in his big, boofy turban.

Goma returns to his hybrid form.

"What's wrong with being a do-gooder? I like being nice." he says while cracking his knuckles.

The guard points towards the door. "In there; take two lefts and you'll find it." Turning to Goma he angrily replies "Because do-gooders are offended by the fact that the whole economy is based on indentured servitude. Without it, the whole society collapses, but they're too high and mighty to actually pay for the goods they're stealing. No matter how much you like animals, no one complains about buying a horse, but once it's a person, oh no, can't have that."

"We done with him?" If there are no further questions, Akaash will knock the guard out, then proceed toward the office.

Khwaja Malak nods to Akaash and heads to the area mentioned, waiting for the buffy tough types to fall in ahead of him.

Rowan

Before they knock out the man, Rowan will step up and say his piece while pointing his staff at the man. "First off, we didn't come here about your slavery nor do we seek to change the socio-economic dynamic of Katapesh." Rowan begins, annoyed at this simpleton and his assumptions, "Secondly, before you spend around 70 years as a slave as I have I don't really recognize your expertise on speaking on the subject of slavery and it's pros and cons, and finally, when did I ever claim to be a good person?" Rowan grins wickedly, his tiefling features on full display with a flame conjured on his staff as Akaash knocks the man out.

Satisfied with his prank, Rowan turns to the others, "Onwards to retrieve our stolen loot and researcher! With interest!" Rowan emphasizes the last part strongly.

"If you want to know what's wrong with slavery, you ask the slave. If I had the time I'd love to discuss this with you without weapons around. As it stands though..." Goma signals to Akaash that he's done talking.

Still agitated, more by the man's views than the fight that just ended, Goma takes point.

The party tries to squeeze in as best they can and open the door. In the corner of the room, putting a book on a bookshelf if a half-elven woman in high end clothes. resting near her feet are a pair of cockatrices. As soon as the door opens, she yells as she sees the party. "Sic 'em!"

Unable to reach the front, Rowan still does what he can by stepping up and protecting those he can with magic.

5 ft step closer so I can see around the corner and spend 1 SP to cast After Image with Group Time. Maintained with concentration and giving, Goma, Akaash, Malak, Sharazad, and Alssariq 30% Miss Chance.

Khwaja Malak holds positioning. His aura might not affect enemies, but it can still buoy allies who have not yet gone into the room.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Water Prince hears a battle underway (meaning it might make him further down the initiative order than you roll), he heads into the room, rapier in hand, and stabs at the first non-friendly (or identifiable creature) that he sees.

Akaash encircles the room in a tempest, aiming to catch the woman and her pets within.
