AMEN L: [Insert Ideas]

"When you're not being playful or teasing, you come off as... emotionally flat." Shuyoru explains, sitting back on the counter and swinging his legs since it's just the fish left. "Like you don't care about much... unless you're a sociopath." He shrugs. "If that's the case, it's no problem."

"No, it's not that," Requiem says, prodding the fish to see if it's done.
"It's just...I can't think of a single thing that inherently matters."

The fish looks to be done.
So she turns off all the stovetops.
"Gotta assign your own value to things."

Requiem brushes off her hands. "There! It's finished. Grab all you want."

"Ah, a nihilist, huh? Shoulda figured, considering I'm one, in some ways... but that doesn't mean you can't have fun, girl! Nothing matters, so do what you want, and have fun doing it! Personally, I prefer it when you look like you're having fun, rather than being so bland and all." Well, some things matter to Shuyoru... amusing one's self, for example.

The fish is ready! "Join me in dining, milady!" He says, bowing exaggeratedly with a teasing smile on his face. "I'll just taste one, first..." He grabs a piece of fish and bites into it, munching to see how it tastes.

Requiem smiles, a little.
She grabs her own plate.

"But being bland is fun." She gets some food - far less than half of what was made - and puts it on the plate.

Shuyoru, in contrast, heaps his plate with food. After the changes he's gone through, he realizes he's very hungry. "This tastes good, Rekky, you're a good cook!" With a teasing grin, he adds. "Although, not as good as me." He finishes by sticking his tongue out at her.

Being bland is fun? "You enjoy it when I react to your blandness that way, don't you? I can be bland if I have to be, but I'm ususally having too much fun to bother. Living for myself, and others if it's useful, what could be more fun than that? Besides, we're both just person-shaped masses of molecules that'll die someday, better to enjoy the time left while we can!" He winks at her, then sits down to eat.

"Maybe you should cook next time, then," Requiem says.

She follows him out of the kitchen, but doesn't sit down. She eats standing. "A correction," she says, taking a break from chewing: "I"m persons-shaped."

"It's a deal." Shuyoru takes some time to eat his large meal while she talks. "Tomayto, Tomahto. You know what I meant."

Some silence follows as they eat. "Hey, Requiem? Do you like to party?" He suddenly asks. "I could hook you up with stuff to sate any hedonistic desires you may have. Drinks, drugs, a massage, you name it."

"Sorry, I'm actually an ascetic," she responds. "Allergic to partying."
"Also, I was a nun in my past life."

What Requiem is actually trying to say is, "Yeah, it's not really my thing."

"Huh. No you can't be y... wait, you think being bland is fun, nevermind." Shuyoru says, then resumes eating. Being ascetic, how boring! "So, how does a once-upon-a-time nun end up in a so-called evil organization?" He asks, making all the small talk since it's clear Requiem won't make any attempt to ask questions.

Shuyoru isn't really leaving any hooks for questions, so. . .

She shrugs and sticks a food in her mouth.
"That's just how reincarnation works, I guess." She swallows. "Don't ask me, I didn't make up the rules. One day you're a nun, the next you're in AMEN."

"Ah, reincarnation. Did you always have your powers?" Shuyoru asks, thinking as he eats. "Where I'm from, one doesn't typically remember their past lives. I definitely don't remember my past life as my grandfather!"

Requiem shrugs: "Yeah, I don't really remember any of it, either. Just guessing that I was a nun, because it makes sense."

"Ah, I see." Shuyoru remains silent to focus on his food, and soon finishes eating, leaving the bones behind. He stares at it and decides to try something. Bone is biomass, right? He grabs one with his hand and focuses, watching in amazement as tendrils come out from his hand and break the bones into biomass for consumption. "Woah... I think a medical checkup will be a good idea."

He turns to Requiem. "Want a massage? I can become a woman if that's more comfortable for you... although I probably really should be going, have my people check me up medically, then go find Tiffany." Offer's still open, though!

Requiem watches him take apart the bones.
"Yeah, probably should figure out what your new diet is, how much you need to eat, and so on." Good reason for a checkup.

She thinks about the offer for a massage.
"If you have time, then sure, I accept. Otherwise, just go to your medical checkup."

Shuyoru nods in agreement. "Lemme try something, real quick. If I act different, keep in mind that I like acting." He then stands up, shapeshifting into a woman as he does so. Focusing, he ensures that this woman is an elf, at least outwardly. Shuyoru now has pale skin, elven ears, hazel eyes and short blonde hair.

Also, a good time to confirm that he seems to have gained the ability to shapeshift his mass into clothing, as evidenced by the fact that his clothes start changing before the adaptive nanite armour follows suit. The final result won't look like multiple layers of the same clothing, though.

This woman folds her arms and looks down, all demurely and shyly. "Umm... I-I'll massage you now, Lady Requiem..." She suddenly changes, and it's clear she's trying to decide what personality to adopt. "Wait, that's not it... how about..." A bubbly personality! "Let's get massaging, Requiem! I won't eat you, promise, okaaaaay?" This is fun for Shuyoru.

Requiem stands and leaves the dishes there. She'll have another body come by to pick those up and clean them.

She looks over at the elf woman. "Hmph." She tosses her hair back. "I see."

She leaves the room, to go over to a couch so that she can lie down. It will be easier for her lying down, after all. "You had better not eat me. If you do, I will make sure to inform you manager and you'll never work in this industry again."

Hmph? Is she jealous? Interesting...

Requiem then threatens, Shuyoru, which means it's time for an Oscar-winning performance! The elf woman suddenly looks scared. "No, Miss, please don't... I n-need this job to pay for med school!" She looks like she's on the verge of tears. If Requiem plays along, the elf wipes her eyes and meekly follows.

If Requiem doesn't play along, which is far more likely, then Shuyoru will instantly break character and stick her tongue out at the redhead. "Spoilsport."

Once Requiem's laid down, the elf claps her hands. "Let's begin! You can call this form... Sera." Some silence as Sera starts the massaging, and then... "Do you not think you're pretty enough? I noted your reaction when I turned into you." Even though Shuyoru likes to make his transformations as attractive as possible, and thus possibly made his version of Redquiem more attractive than the original...

Normally, Requiem would play along, but since the reaction of her not playing along is about three times as long,

she just walks that way like she doesn't care what the elf-woman says. ;p

"I just think it'd be really neat to have a tail, is all," she says, denying the original accusation. "Who doesn't want to have a tail?"

And thus, she gets the 'spoilsport' reaction. She also doesn't get the Dragon Age reference, so Requiem must not play any video games... which is a given, considering her opinion on technology. "Huh." Sera simply says, kneading the muscles of Requiem's back with soft hands and fingers, and silently making a fluffy bunny tail. "Wanna fluff my tail, then?" She offers.

To be fair, her player didn't get that there was a video game reference either.
And Requiem did play along. By continuing the 'entitled woman' persona.

She continues lying there.
And thinks.
Fluffing a tail isn't the same as having one.
...
But, in the absence of having one, it's kind-of close enough. But don't most animals not like it when you touch their tails? Probably the same with people, too.
"Sure, I will," she says. "You'd have to get one again, though."

"Already done!" Sera says. Her appearance, voice and accent are just like the Dragon Age: Inquisition character, but the personality isn't. "I'll let you do it, but it'd be wise to ask first if it were anyone else. I got the ears, too!" She does. "We could even do a girls' sleepover and do each other's nails and stuff. Shuyoru has a sister, you know!"

Sera continues to work the muscles of Red-quiem's back. "I could even get you a tail... not the same as having one, but it'd be fun to pretend. Want the one you clip to your trousers, or the one you attach to the base of your spine?"

Already?
Requiem turns her head to look. "Oh. I see. After the massage, then." The bunny stuff.
However, about the sleepover, Requiem says, "I've never done anything like that. Not sure whether or not it sounds fun."

She turns her head back forward. "Anyone can wear a fake tail. Pretending really isn't the same. Would you wear a pretend tail?"

"Yeah, just before I suggested it. Yeah, after the massage." Sera says. "I've had to participate in some sleepovers, as a guy and girl, for one reason or the other. It could be fun."

She thinks a little as she massages, starting to drum her fists on Requiem's back. "Hmm... no, no I wouldn't. I see what you mean. What if... I got you a body with a tail?"

"Could be fun isn't very reassuring," she remarks, "because then you're also saying that it might not be."


With drumming on her back, Requiem's voice seems a little odd. "If you got me one..." She thinks about it. It'd probably depend on how he acquired it. But...if it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out. "Sure. If you've got time after your doctor's visit, feel free to bring me one."

"I found it fun. I have a sister back home, and she enlisted me to join in while disguised, once or twice. The goal is to have fun. We could watch movies, talk about stuff, there'll be food..." Sera suggests with a shrug at the end.

"I'll see what I can do." Shuyoru has to start thinking of how to get a body, and a few ideas come to mind. After a while of working while thinking in silence, Sera pipes up. "All done!" Then she turns and presents her tail for Requiem to feel up. "Enjoy!"

"So, got any specific requests concerning this new body?" She asks.

Once it's done, Requiem gets up to a sitting position."Thanks," she says.
Requiem looks at the tail, and tentatively reaches towards it, to grab it and feel it.

. . .

"Um. No, no requests," she says. Well, here's one that she thinks would be obvious, but she then corrects herself and adds, "Well. Female, obviously."

The tail feels fluffy. Due to Shuyoru's shapeshifting powers and guessing what Requiem would like, it's extra fluffy and soft. "Well, this is different..." Sera says, having not ever had anyone touch the tail before. "... a good different." It's a bit ticklish, but she's enjoying the sensation.

"Duhhh!" She says, rolling her eyes and then grinning. "So, female, with ears and a tail... preferably bunny ones?" An idea occurs to her. "What if I could get Tiffany back, and give her ears and a tail, real ones, somehow?" How she'd do that, she has no idea.

After feeling like she's got enough fluff-touching, Requiem stops.

"Hm?" she says, having been too absorbed in it to really be paying attention. She thinks back to what Shuyoru said. "Sure. That'd be pretty neat," she says. "If you can do it, yeah. Do it."

Sera was actually enjoying the attention, and is a bit sad when Requiem stops. "One body with fluffy ears and tail, coming up, then!" She gets up and gives that tail one last shake, as if to tantalize Requiem some more, then stretches. "Alright, that'll be $500 dollars."

She waits for Requiem's reaction, if there's any. Then it's back to human male child!

"I'll be going, now. After that doctor's appointment, I'll go pay Tiffany a little visit." Shuyoru says, preparing to leave. "Bye now, don't miss me too much." He says, teasingly.

Requiem pulls out her wallet, and opens it up.

...
It has exactly the same things in it that it did before. "Looks like it's not payday yet," she says. "Guess I'll have to pay later."

Then.
She gets up. "I'll try not to miss you," she responds. "Good luck finding her; Inside is pretty big, after all."

With one final wave, Shuyoru leaves. First, he'll get a doctor's appointment, then go see about Tiffany... after that, he needs to find out how his friend Harley's doing.
