    Justin moves along the wall of the part of the cave northeast of the barricade when Iris notices he's treading on the edge of a giant pit trap. She shouts a warning and nobody falls down, but stil the experience is somewhat unnerving. You all move east along the edge of this cave room following the dancing lights that illuminate what lies beyond. Iris, who leads the way, is about the enter the next section of the cave, which also seems to be a dead end. The ground in this section is a slimy mess of mud and fungus. Several trampled mud nests mixed with fragments of leathery eggs lie around the room. Iris notices two troglodytes escaping through a narrow passage to the north and two more retreating from the light and essencially pressed by it into the cave wall to the north-east with nowhere to go.

    "Pssst" Iris waves to the left passage as the troglodytes scamper down it, indicating 'two and two' to her companions with her fingers. She halts where she is, not advancing on the trapped trogs.

    Justin darts north, "I'll block the other end and make sure the others don't flank us". Shifting into a hunting stance he darts up to where the forks meet at the bottleneck at the edge of the little guy, eyes, ears, nose twitching.....

    After having looked over the corpses "Well it looks like many of these were probably killed from the fighting with the boggards and untreated wounds afterwards. It doesn't look like a new threat has hit them."

    Looking around at the egg shells he asked Adalbert "I assume this would be a breeding room? Do they come from eggs?" but with everything else going on adds "maybe not the best time to get into the details, but if it is we can probably assume the ones right around here aren't as much fighters, but instead tending to their young. Which will make them defensive and potentially dangerous, but also more likely to talk and less to throw themselves needlessly to their death"
    Staying back but watching out, Lebwen keeps his weapon down waiting to see what Adalbert can get out of talking.

    When Justin intercepts the troglodytes, they are already emerging from the narrow passage. Seeing their escape route blocked by just a single man, they immediately attack. They cannot do much hovewer, demonstrating a profound ineptitude in the combat department. Lizuga meanwhile presses on the remaining two, who just stay still, not doing anything. Adalbert starts to talk in Draconic, but this is going to take some time...

    Justin curses, "Ah, you stupid brutes, I didn't want to hurt you," as he falls back parrying and dodging. Seeing no alternative he lashes out with rapier and stabs upwards with the shortsword, shouting back to Iris and Adalbert. "These ones are savage, keep an eye on the two you've cornered"

    Justin's rapier makes a neat little hole in one of troglodytes and the shortsword makes a marginally bigger hole in its neck as it bends down to clutch its wound. A pulsing red blood spurts from the wound and the troglodyte collapses. The other makes an attempt to retreat...
