D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
Our fifth contest is wrapped up! We had a whopping 11! entries this time, so it was a good December all around.
Simple rules. Vote for your number 1, number 2, and number 3 picks. You can't vote for yourself. A number 1 vote is worth 3 points, a number 2 is worth 2, and a number 3 is worth one.
Also enter your top two picks for the next theme from those randomly pulled from the list of future themes. The winner will be our next theme, while the runner-up will be guaranteed to be in the voting next cycle. A number one pick is worth 2 points, and a number two pick is worth 1.

Keep it Simple and Bunch of Fives both carried over from the last voting thread since they were tied for runner-up. Please contain your theme votes to these five themes. If the one you wanted to vote for isn't here, blame google's random number generator and hold out for next time. Feel free to make new theme suggestions still, I will add them to the overall list and they will have a chance of being rolled for next month's contest.
This thread will stay open until the end of the day January 13th. The following day I will recheck all vote counts and declare a winner, then post the next contest thread. Good luck everyone!Last edited by MoleMage; 2019-01-14 at 07:53 PM.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
My number 1 pick is Evil's Circle of the Stars. Mechanically pretty tight and thematically cool as heck.
Number 2 goes to Blackflight's Way of the Raging Star. I like the concept and mechanics, although I think it might be a trifle overpowered.
Finally, my number 3 pick is nickl's Destined Warrior. I think it's mechanically all over the place, but the theming is cool and I like the Astral Abilities.
My first vote for the next theme is My Way is Different - my second is Keep It Simple, Stupid.Last edited by theVoidWatches; 2019-01-01 at 05:33 PM.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
Okay! This contest had a lot of good and diverse entries, and I'm sad I can only pick three, but here goes.
1. Inkeeper Patron. It's simple, it fits the theme perfectly, and it leaves a lot open to the imagination for moments and encounters that spring from the flavor of the subclass- what if one of the guests of the Twilight Inn has a task for the party? What if they need to go into the inn to fight a demon let loose inside? I really like the idea and execution!
2. Circle of Stars. Beautifully written, well themed, and it again really sparks my imagination. Well done.
3. Destined Warrior. I have a few questions about some of the abilities, but the thematicism works quite well, and I would love to play a warrior chosen by the stars! Kudos to you.
For theme, my preference would be KISS followed by Subsystems Online.See that cool Teifling? Thanks, potatopeelerkin! If you want something like it, they have more avatars up for adoption in the thread with the same name...
Hey, I have an extended signature now!

Re: D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
Alright the voting period is over and the results are in.
In 3rd place, with 7 points is Ivellius's Oath of Feasting. I'm especially fond of the aura of fresh baked bread smell, myself.
In 2nd place, with 10 points is Icecaster's Innkeeper Patron. Not all Warlock patrons have sinister designs. Some of them just want to spread comfort and good food!
In 1st place, with an outstanding 24 points is Evil the Cat's Circle of Stars. Because nature doesn't stop at the sky, and the seasons are part of the cycle of life and druids really should acknowledge that.
Thanks everyone for playing, and I hope to see you making subclasses again in our next contest: Bunch of Fives! We're moving into the sixth contest, but the theme of five is with us forever now. Our runners up for theme was a tie between Keep it Simple, Stupid and Subsystems Online, so we will see both of those return in next month's voting thread alongside three other random themes. Look for Contest VI shortly once I get it formatted!Currently operating the 5e Subclass Contest and the 5e Base Class Contest. Check them out if even just to vote or give feedback, we love that in there.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
I'll take my solace in the fact that lots of people did like my subclass, even though most of my votes were as third picks. I'll get it next time (and your little dog too, etc)!

Re: D&D Subclass Contest V Voting Thread
I don't think we've had a contest with that big a disparity yet, have we? Congrats to Evil the Cat.
I am really not sure what I'm going to do with this theme. Hopefully I'll think of something.DM's Guild Work
