"I have no recollection of this place. I have no idea where we should go." the Owl looks around, bewildered and lost, then shakes his head and sighs "Fine. Let's wander aimlessly. I will scout ahead. Darkness doesn't trouble me." that said, unless someone stops his, he leaves the room and lets the shadows embrace him; he waits a bit for the others, then points in a direction and moves there trying to pass unnoticed.

Vri would stay in the group, going wherever it was most convenient. She also kept an eye out for any trouble and definitely for any clues as to where they were and who they were.

So Zapka is in the hallway at G8. We have:

Assuming the above is correct, let's scout out all the open areas then listen/ check each door (this idea is too sensible for Hazel so I'll assume someone else suggests it).

I'll update the map with positions once you guys decide which way to go. And, I think I figured out how to make it a little bigger, too.

I think A8/9 & N8/9 are walls/ dead ends - @razorback is this correct?

A8 & A9 are dead ends. Directly opposite N8 & N9 are walls but there are doors to the north and south that enter into N7 and N10, respectively.

The group begins to wander about, checking their immediate surroundings, keeping as quiet as possible.
The Owl moves to the doors to the north (F1) and can hear something... like a stone on stone movement.
Vri, on the other hand, moves to the eastern door. She can faintly hear what sounds like rainfall coming from both doors.
Walking up to the double doors (E10/F10) and listening, Hazel doesn't hear anything but the reek of rot and decay is evident as she approaches the doors.

During this time Elia and Lizbeth move down the hall and take Vadok's body, carrying him towards the barricade, where you loose sight of the pair.

"Behind those doors I hear rainfall," Vri said when the group came back together, pointing to the doors she checked, "Those might go outside. And you guys?"

"Stinks. Someone or something died through here".

After his brief scouting mission the Owl goes back to the others, light that seems to bother him a bit "Heard a sound of stone grinding. No idea what could it possibly be. I would advise against opening the door that reeks of death - other than that, don't care that much."

"So, which one," Vri asked, "see if the rain one actually goes outside?"

"Don't think it goes outside. You do not want prisoners near an exit, makes easier for them to escape." the Owl says without thinking and immediately after seems a bit shaken - he knows about prisons, but he doesn't seem to know why he knows about prisons; he simply shrugs and shakes his head "You know what? Let's go check the door..." he snaps his fingers while pointing at Vri, like he's trying to reminding something "...Vri? The door Vri said. Nothing that's happening right now makes much sense to me, so it could be quite possible they put immediately near the exit door."

Ebert replaces Zapka as a watchman at the intersection. He pockets the potions and the holy symbol until it is found out what use they might be to anyone present. Zapka moves east and stops there right between two doors, waiting for someone to do the opening.

Ebert at H8, looking north, west and south. Zapka between N8 and N9 (she's small and will make way for anyone opening any of those doors).

As Zapka nears the far end of the hall, she can also hear the sound of rain falling just beyond the doors. She is surprised, just like the rest of the group, as an explosive peal of thunder crashes. Once the sounds subside, only the sound of rainfall can be heard again.

"Maybe a courtyard," Vri suggested, "that way it can be outside yet still locked up."

The Owl just shrugs at Vri's suggestion and even though he doesn't seem too keen to be the first to the door, when he sees that no one tries to open it he steps forth and with caution he pulls the doorknob.

Close behind Zapka, Nalgho peers out with interest and just a touch of trepidation.

Dense, sour mist fills this spacious courtyard. Eddies in the fog create phantom shapes among the shadows of bent trees and wilted foliage.
The Owl steps through the door, with the dog hard on his heels, as he looks about while noticing a heavy squishing of his boots. While he sees the heavy fog, a wind whips up, driving the fog about and disappears just as quickly. A moment later a thin rain starts, lasting all of 4 seconds, before diminishing to a fine mist.

"What the hell is going on here," Vri asked, "I might not know who I am and what I'm doing here, but this is not normal."

"...I have no idea." the Owl seems clearly taken aback by the misty courtyard and the intermittent rain, trembling a bit before steeling himself; he then murmurs arcane words and starts writing magic symbols in the air, casting a spell that makes his eyes glow with a faint aura of Divination before he starts investigating the courtyard.

How far does Zapka move?

As some of the group enter the courtyard, it becomes evident that the mist and rain are entering from the ceiling. Glass can be seen littering the ground in what you determine to be the remains of a skylight, most likely destroyed by the same earthquake that did so much damage to the building. It's coming down in sheets, with a far off crash of thunder and lightning in the distance. While the rain sits in large pools near you, further north near the rubble you can see that it hasn't risen as far, and in areas the ground looks dry, giving the impression the skylight might have broken fairly recently based on how hard it is coming down. When you look up and the lightning streaks across the sky, only clouds can be seen. While the pooled water is cool to the touch, the falling rain has a warmth to it that seems out of place.

"I reiterate," Vri said, "There is something weird going on. This is not just bad weather. And the temperature of the rain should be lower."
She would move around a bit, following Zapka, casting detect magic from different locations in order to try and figure out what is going on.

"So weird. At least the mist makes sense, with the warm rain ... It was getting creepy until you pointed that out, Vri." Nalgho isn't displaying a lot of emotion, but he's hardly immune to feeling it.

"Everything's weird." the Owl mumbles mostly to himself, following cautiously the others around and keeping his Divination spell active, trying to determine if there's any kind of magic aura in the courtyard.
