    Dude. DUDE!

    Grandma-fu at it's strongest.

ETA: And embarrassing the offspring for the twofer! It's the simple things that bring the joy to parenting, it really is.

I love everything about this page. Sigdi is the best.
“Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling, it's all the same. Proportions are negotiated, boundaries blurred. I'm not a pious hermit, I haven't done only good in my life. But if I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all.”

I'm going to guess Sigdi is a single-class fighter. At her age, she'd have a -1 to physical stats at most and +1 to all mental stats. Not enough to put a huge damper on fighter abilities.

It takes balls to successfully intimidate a powerful cleric with 7th level spells with just a few words, all with a big smile on your face.

    Mad props to Sigdi.

I am eagerly awaiting T_W to claim that Sigdi just forfeited her right to live with her threat towards Hilgya.

"Seems like a firm na, then."

You, Mrs. Thundershield, are quite possibly my favorite character in this comic now.

EDIT: Oh my gods, I hadn't even finished reading the whole thing yet.

    Sergeant Thundershield is awesome!

Pleased to see Sigdi and Hilgya getting along. I was really worried Hilgya wouldn't shut off her animus.

Also, I'm glad *someone* got some reproach through Hilgya's brain.

That was so savage! "she ever puts a scratch on him again, and your grandma sigdi needs to end her." Hilgya visibly terrified of the old lady with 1 arm!

To be fair, we're setting the bar fairly low here.

Can we all agree that Durkon's mom is officially the best and that all DnD sessions will be held that the Thundershield residence from here on out?

For all the terrible parents (or fathers at least), it just occurred to me that whenever a grand parent is present, the parent becomes much better, as in Roy's mother and his grandfather and now perhaps there is hope for Durkon's child having a good family as Durkon's mother has entered the scene?

Though I am sure Roy's mother is an awesome parent under all circumstances.

I have time picturing Sigdi knocking a tooth out of Hoskin's jaw over a marriage proposal. Without context that sounds excessive. What happened?

She just says it in a very sneaky way to take Hilgya completely off-guard without getting her on her back right away. It's a lot more destabilizing if the person making death threats is acting friendly when they're doing it.

Depends on how it happened and on the context. But it might well have been a small Evil deed, which doesn't mean Sigdi wasn't Good at the time. You'll note she "[isn't] sayin' it's right". Why do you think she just threatened Hilgya if she didn't think it was wrong?

Y'know, for as much as he was a Stern-but-Wise Father Figure in Durkon's life, Hoskins can't be all that smart if he didn't read losing a tooth as "If, in the unlikely event I change my mind, I'll let you know, but the matter is otherwise closed." I mean, she quite literally hit him in the face with the rejection!
