    Fair point. My bad.

I'd rather look at Roy and Belkar. That's how Roy kept the psychopathic midget barely under control until Belkar realized he should begin to fake character development in order to avoid getting killed. What Durkon did wouldn't have worked with Belkar before he had his epiphany at Greysky City. An epiphany that was only posible because Shojo's Mark of Justice turned Belkar into a vulnerable weakling.

And yet Belkar is still CE after Greysky City so your first point doesn't really seem accurate.

I actually have posted, twice. To the tune of saying Sigdi is awesome and predicting things will basically turn out all right with her help. Also, where are they dumping on me? I only saw one allusion, by Fyraltari, and it's not an offensive one.

    Great comic!

So, with her not so thinly veiled threat in mind, what are the odds that Granma Sigdi has "Improved Unarmed Strike"?

    Why?

Sidgi made a clever little death threat, with interesting bits of innuendo woven in. The listeners, Hilgya and the Readers, are supposed to speculate what Sidgi is thinking. THAT is the intention on Sidgi's part. If we do not speculate, we are choosing not to pay attention.

Sigdi is the character I like most in the comic and she keeps proving why. She's doing the best for Kudzu by not escalating the drama with Hilgya and I think that one threat will keep Higlya's murderous tendencies in check. They'll probably get along despite that. It's best for Kudzu to have both parents alive and well, after all. I'm sure they'll reach an understanding about how to raise him. Sigdi made it very clear that she'll have an active role in raising him as soon as she saw him. Durkon could take a lesson or two about diplomacy from his old Ma! Love his expressions throughout the strip.

From what we've heard about Hoskin I think he must have gotten a little too pushy at some point which earned him a solid punch, but he then got the message.

GreatWyrmGold has also replied to this comment, elaborated more, and tried to make more sense of it than I ever would but he hid it inside two spoilers, so... here, in case you missed it.

Disproporitionate violence in response to a marriage proposal is evil. So Hilgya is evil just like Sigdi. Stealing is evil, so she's evil just like Haley. Considering violence against your family is evil, so she's gotta be almost as evil as Elan (and probably Roy). And disproportionate revenge is evil, so she's evil like V.

Reading the arguments on these forums about Hilgya's alignment has enlightened me. I now see that the world of OOTS is just O-Chul slogging through a world of pure evil in which everyone else is evil.
