This 100%. Coming up with a believable excuse is a problem not even worth considering as no one is ever going to ask you about it because no one is ever going to talk to you. It's a sad fact of reality that having a big, obvious scar, especially on the face, makes people uncomfortable. Strangers will ignore you; friends will abandon you; and even family will treat you differently. You'll become a social pariah, and it will ruin the rest of your life. That's why plastic surgery and skin grafts exist: to give these people a chance at a normal life.

While I agree, plastic surgery and skin grafts are not only about the social reception. Reconstructive surgery is also about self-image and even more importantly about more tangible improvement in living quality. Shaping up and putting back missing teeth is an obvious one, but for example healthy skin has quite a lot of functions that you really want to have and scar tissue just doesn't cut it. There are also many birth defects that can be fixed with plastic surgery that would otherwise complicate a person's life.

So, I can see three possible directions for this.

1: Tedd ends up calling his father... Hopefully, Edward and Lavender aren't in bed or that would be super awkward, to get what happened and that's the next story arch.

2: Tedd still assumes that Edward is on a mission and, Grace remembers that Raven taught both Edward and Noriko and suggests contacting him, leading to Raven telling the story and it being awkward.

3: Earlier in this storyline, Nanase's internal monolog mentioned that she was trying to lure her mother into talking to her about magic by covertly establishing that she had powers back.

I'm kind of wondering if this isn't gonna lead to Nanase deciding to confront Mama Kitsune directly about it using the "Tedd knows about his mother's scar. He knows about magic, and that she was a mosnter hunter, he needs answers" as a trump card to get Mama Kitsune to talk(reminder: Mama Kitsune treats Tedd like a lost puppy.)

I'm in favour of getting Raven to talk, as it could also be a chance to get Noah over there. To me, Noah feels like he's had a very long introduction, but still has to have his own story.

Honestly, I imagine that Lord Tedd will be the very last thing to be tied off, except mayhaps an epilog.

So, Jay knows who Arthur is, has a low opinion of him, and reacts very emotionally to bad things apparently happening to him. Maybe she met him in some unknown way, hates him for unknown reasons, but cares deeply about all people, even those she hates. Or maybe she and Arthur are family. He has been established to have a daughter, after all.

It turns out Arthur is the main character of a harem anime, and Jay is the one inappropriately-young girl that every one of those shows has for some reason. Some actually want them smaller since being heavily front-loaded can complicate everyday activities and is harmful to the back. Esthetically, the statistical consensus is that the overall proportions (about 3:2:3) are more important than size itself.

I've been picturing red. But that was probably influenced by her being a fire mage in the EGS:NP Parable story arc.

Now that I think about it, the buzzed sides of her haircut are shaded darker than the rest of it. If it were all one color, it should instead look lighter, on account of her skin showing through. So the top is almost certainly dyed. … I mean, technically, it could be the sides that are dyed, but who does that?
