Wich class is the best summoner?

I like Clerics and Druids for my summoners, personally - I stick mainly to core, however, so outside of that there may be other options. Clerics are nice because the Fiendish/Celestial templates can be good to have available, but Druids (In my opinion) make better summoners because they can do so spontaneously, and have better access to buff spells, like Animal Growth

Druids, because they have more cheese available. Greenbound summoning, Rashimi Elemental summoning (Cone of Cold!), spontaneous summoning, and they get better access to elementals. Also, most of their lower level summons are pretty darn good as well.

A good summoner who tricks evil summoned creatures into doing good. Its a hilarious and really good class.

I think Fiend binder is iffy at best. T0 get into it you have to be able to cast summon monster IV and have to have 10 ranks in true speak, which is a cross-class skill for any non-truenaming class. You also have to make near impossible rolls to make the creatures actually do anything. Flavour wise it cool though, and some of the class features are funky.

I think Fiend binder is iffy at best. T0 get into it you have to be able to cast summon monster IV and have to have 10 ranks in true speak, which is a cross-class skill for any non-truenaming class. You also have to make near impossible rolls to make the creatures actually do anything. Flavour wise it cool though, and some of the class features are funky.

Taking the Truespeech Training feat will make Truespeak a class skill, which means you can get in as a cleric at L7. Cloistered Cleric is probably better than regular Cleric for this, though, due to the skill points.

That is a pretty good one...Interestingly, those abilities don't specify that they only apply to wizard-spells. Sweet.

One-level Conjurer dip--for the Rapid Summoning feature--before going into Cloistered Cleric with Domain Spontaneity. Take Animal and Summoning domains. Take Augment Summoning, Imbued Summoning...this could work.
