It isn't the seal alone-it more seeding a parasitic plant inside of herself.
The curse amplify her connection to the parasite plant.

It's more an "evil" version of abroma, but parasitic plants instead of insects.
I guess maybe fungus would work better?

hmmm.....well here is the thing. if its a parasite inside her body, why is the seal needed? because if its something implanted inside of her, it should be able to function without the seal, as it would in be the life form's best interest to make the host use it more for its own ends. thus the seal makes the most sense if its something that an enemy placed on her but a seal was made to STOP it. and that this seal's "connection" is actually putting the seal into an unlocked position to allow its power to be used but also allow it to parasitically do its thing.

this would line up with how jinchuuriki work: the tailed beast can work perfectly fine with someone without a seal being attached. what seals do is keep them from doing stuff unless the user wills it, because its sealing them off. same principle. think of the seal as a padlock on what it does naturally and it all makes sense.

here are my genin from Yugakure. Hayaza is what I'd consider sufficient justification for a ninja to have no genjutsu defense, Reizuki is me examining what the politics of Uzushiogakure were before and after its downfall, and Maza is looking at a fire release clan that does something interesting and unique with it while also being the character for looking at the problems of the shinobi nations through an economic lens.

Hayaza's personality is tired, bitter and with experience and wisdom beyond her years due to her Accelerated Genjutsu Training. Thus she lost her youthful exuberance and moves with a tired, practiced gait reminiscent of her mothers. She also has trauma, at times acting like a veteran of war she has not fought, her hands shaking at times unable to feel or emote, other times unable to care for the safety of her comrades, and sometimes feels she is still at war even though she never fought one. She feels as if she has made her choice and must now produce results so that at least what happened to her was worth it.

Hayaza was once a normal genin of Yugakure. She thought her mother, a proud Jonin and also a researcher was the most badass ninja around and she wanted to be just like her when she grew up. Her mother of course did her best to raise her well, wanting to have a healthy life despite the horrors of the ninja world. After all, Amemori Yanari had already experienced her share of warfare and didn't wish it on her child.

However Yugakure is in dire financial straits and thought to ask one of their brightest minds to help solve how they can compete with their jobs being taken by Konohagakure. She was working of course, on a budget: enhancing people physically to make them better ninja was out of the question since that would require more money to do so. So instead she decided to figure out how to enhance people mentally by essentially transferring all the information and experiences she knows through a genjutsu.

The goal was to train people faster into an incredibly powerful ninja in the space of seconds. So Amemori takes the water clone jutsu, cutting it down to its yin part the part that copies the mind, then began cutting out all the information from her mind that wasn't relevant to becoming a better ninja, both to keep focused on transferring relevant information and to keep it from overriding another person's mind and essentially creating a copy of herself in their place and thus a death of personality. Then she also developed a seal that would allow for time dilation so that years of knowledge would be transferred within seconds.

Years passed and Amemori began testing the jutsu on clones created by other people to see if it would work. However while it would theoretically work, the water clones would quickly get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information shoved into them and dissolve into smoke from the stress. They never lasted long enough to test if the information truly transferred over. Amemori tried to get approval to test on actual humans who were more durable than mere clones, the head ninja only approving volunteers for the testing process. But...no Chuunin volunteered because they either saw a clone dissolving, or figured that such information didn't come without a price. All the genin didn't volunteer either, being children who wanted to be their own ninja.

All except one: Hayaza, her own daughter. When she heard of this Accelerated Genjutsu training that would make her just her badass mother, she jumped at the chance, being the only volunteer. Amemori not wanting to use the jutsu on her own daughter, told her the risks and the results on the clones repeatedly. But every time Hayaza shrugged them off and was sure that she would be fine. And so with trepidation, Amemori performed the jutsu and transferred a near-lifetime of information into Hayaza in the space of about ten seconds.

After which Hayaza suddenly broke down screaming and traumatized from the experiences her mother had endured, but without any of the moments in between to help her deal with any of it. For a few days she was near catatonic and everyone thought that she was broken completely. But then when she recovered enough, Hayaza began to demonstrate Jonin levels skill in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, matching her mother in those respects...but there were a few problems:
One, it quickly became clear that any skill for genjutsu or defending against it were gone- she is completely vulnerable due to the stuff her mind has to process, her mind is open for anyone to fiddle with and no one knows how to fix it. Any knowledge of genjutsu transferred seems to be blocked by unconscious psychological suppression, perhaps out of some desire to not inflict this on others. Second, Hayaza was no longer a cheerful child but now has all the tiredness, bitterness and experience of an adult, wise beyond her years but also the cynicism of one. Third despite her skill, it didn't make up for her body or chakra levels and thus has to adapt many of the techniques she got from her mother to work on less chakra and a smaller body.

As a result the process remains open for anyone willing to volunteer....but no one in Yugakure will, after seeing what happened to Hayaza. Amemori herself distraught from her failure to make great shinobi faster or prevent her child from being hurt, now is an alcoholic and her effectiveness on missions as suffered as a result. Hayaza herself now looking back on her actions sees that she was a foolish child who should've listened to her mother when she had the chance. But it was too late now. Her brain was forever altered. All Hayaza knows is that she chose this, and therefore has to make the best of it now. She needs to find a way to help Yugakure stay afloat economically or all of her mother's efforts would be for naught.

She has been put through a genjutsu that imparts a lifetime of shinobi information and combat experience into her mind at a young age within a few minutes. This gives her ninjutsu and taijutsu knowledge far beyond her years but at the cost of her mental state: her brain is still processing the massive amount of information shoved into it, and it is full of trauma and pain without any of human moments to help deal with it. Thus despite being turned into an experienced Jonin level shinobi beyond her years, she feels burnt out, tired and old, memories that are not her own rise to the fore and affect her emotionally and physically, and allowing such a genjutsu to alter her mind so drastically without building up a resistance has broken her and left her vulnerable to other genjutsu allowing her to be fooled easily.

Despite knowing techniques beyond her years, she still has the chakra reserves of a genin and thus can't use them to their full potential. They come out weaker than they should and she must be careful about conserving her chakra.

The Ichira Clan in the face of Yugakure's economic decline has been able to lean on its secondary business of candle-making. This is mostly because their jutsu has always incorporated candles into them, but now they serve a purpose of keeping them financially afloat. Sure candles may not be the most lucrative thing in the world with the advent of light bulbs and electricity, but who doesn't enjoy scented candles in hot springs or need some backups during a power outage? This has placed the Ichira Clan in an unusual position of power as it weathers the storm better than most ninja in Yugakure.

Maza of course, one member among many sees the declining state of Yugakure and the ninja who must resort to more improvised and self-made tool measures and wants to help. This clearly is all Konoha's fault for taking their jobs from them. Maza decided she would become a beacon of hope for Yugakure and fan the flames so that they can get through these tough times, so she went around trying to help people make money, trying to find more uses for what ninja can do to that can help others and how they can monetize that. Over time she got more practiced and creative at it, until she got a good sense for business as well as being a shinobi.

To better figure out how to help the village she started looking into how economics and finances work, learning all she could about money flows. While it didn't surprise her that Konoha was indeed taking their jobs, she started to get a wider sense of economics for the shinobi world: namely all the wars that they fought were incredibly expensive and wasteful. Every time one was fought it crippled the economy of the continent for years to benefit a minority. A Fourth Shinobi War might be one to destroy it beyond all repair, or at least it wouldn't help anything.

Therefore while her short term goal is fixing Yugakure's situation, she has begun thinking that perhaps the entire Shinobi world needs economic help...

Reizuki wants to help her village get back on its feet, she also wants to get back at the Uzumaki main family that her line has told her were nothing but Konoha brown-nosers allowing them to get away with using the most powerful tailed beast in the world for themselves and now are nothing but their lapdogs for their evil empire. She feels no real hatred towards the Uzumaki but rather sees them as mustache-twirling villains she must defeat: Literally. She thinks they all have twirly mustaches and are apart of some secret conspiracy she has no proof for. She is not crazy, she is just eccentric like every other Uzumaki.

She is smart but tends to think with her emotions, make reckless decisions and strange assumptions. When it comes to her heal bite she is embarrassed about it and doesn't want to admit she secretly enjoys it.

To understand Reizuki's situation, one must understand that Uzushiogakure home of the Uzumaki Clan was not politically monolithic. While the main family of the Uzumaki promoted cooperation with their long time allies the Senju and Konohagakure, some lines of the Uzumaki desired other things. A faction known as the “Shin Uzumaki” or True Uzumaki felt that allowing Konoha to have the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki was stupid: It was their seals and one of their people that the beast was sealed within, so why did Konoha get to enjoy the benefits of their hard work? Their goal was nothing less than to take back the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki for Uzushiogakure so that their village can be strong instead. The Main family of course would always dismiss this as petty power-mongering for their own gain and not listen.

So of course when the cataclysm that struck Uzushiogakure happened during the Second War, the Shin Uzumaki escaped on a different path than the main family. They instead went to Yugakure, the most nearby place that wasn't Kiri or Kumo (as they have reason to believe that one of those two were responsible for the village's destruction) and joined up with them as secretly as they could. They vowed to someday make Kumo/Kiri pay as well as main Uzumaki family for crawling back to Konoha.

Years of course passed until the modern day where Reizuki Shin-Uzumaki is born into a clan that wishes for their long-awaited revenge. But also into a village whose financial situation has been deteriorating over past decade since the end of the Third War, and so she was taught a sealing style and ninjutsu designed to save materials and thus money. The Transmutation Seal is incredibly flexible and useful for such a simple low level seal, and she became experienced in its use. Reizuki of course want due to how she was raised, wants to kill two birds with one stone, so she came up with a recklessly stupid idea: why not find and kidnap the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki during the Chuunin Exams and hold them for ransom so that Konoha has to pay out a lot of money to Yugakure to get them back? That would accomplish both the revenge on the Uzumaki/Konoha and help Yugakure!

Her teammates Maza and Hayaza aren't entirely sure about this plan but don't have any better ones and they are desperate...

Chakra Pulse Seal: C-Rank
Lacking access to normal explosive tags, Reizuki makes up for it by placing Uzumaki seals on surfaces that explode with a spherical blue pulse of chakra.

Transmutation Seal: C-Rank
Invented by the Shin-Uzumaki to make up for their lack of finances to fund storage scrolls and a vast store of equipment to prepare and call upon, the user instead creates a seal on something they touch either through their fingers or their chains that transforms any solid object into any other solid object. If placed on the ground it transforms an area of cubic meters depending on how chakra is put into it. However the transformation only lasts for as long as it has chakra to maintain it.

Thus the seal if placed remotely must be charged like a battery and must be touched again to recharge it, while if touching a user it constantly drains chakra from them to maintain the transformation. If placed on a person it can act either as power up by transforming them into a stronger form or cursing them into a form that weakens or slows them down, both drains their chakra to maintain the form until they run out and die. Only someone with fuinjutsu knowledge can counteract this by dispelling the seal.

also it amuses me to think Senko would be using Ora/Oira to refer to herself, as its my own headcanon that this is all being spoken in japanese and this is just translated. Kimiko of course would probably be using Ore-sama to refer to herself most often, Yuyuyu uses Atashi, Kikenna uses Atai, Jirou himself probably uses Watashi most of the time but Boku in warmer moments, things like that.

I'm not sure if Kimko is agressive enough for Ore-sama.

Ore-sama is mostly used as "my most magnificent self" but it literally means something along the lines of "This tough young man who deseres your respect."

Ore and Ore-sama can be used by girls, but it's usually only very, very aggressive girls or girls who are working very hard to present themselves as masculine who use it... Or rural women from certain regions. Ore used to be gender-neutral, but language changes over time. Some dialects still have it, so unless Kimiko is using an older dialect then...

But she's your character, so do what you want.

In my head, Senko uses Watashi formally and Atashi informally when speaking with her affectation, uses Uchi when speaking with her natural dialect, and uses Ore in her berserk state as a representation of being super agro, which is what I refer to when I say she alternates between masculine and feminine mannerism in her character profile.

Menko on the other hand probably uses Oira. Exclusively, the most formal she gets is referring to Senko as Senko-sama and even then Menko doesn't actually see Senko as her superior but as someone who really needed a friend.

"Senko-sama has all the problems I do with wanting to be free from burdens and obligations she ner asked for... But mine are social constructs, she was born with hers and they're like a billion times worse. I just want to see her smile... The fact that it got me out of most of my own obligations is a bonus."

Zetta, being a bodybuilder and athlete when she's not on duty who takes a lot of pride in her muscular body, I think counts as enough of a tomboy to use Boku.

Tomoe is interesting--currently, she uses Watashi, but if she ever found someone to swear to, either personally or to their cause, she'd start using sessha when conversing with her new lord.

Basically, he's to serve as a sensei for Benjiro, Shirako, and Fudo.

Fuji is a middle-aged ninja who is average in height, weight, and appearance.

His skill in Genjutsu and Jutsu at C Rank and Taijutsu at A-Rank.

He... Honestly is just out of damns to give. His career stalled for years at Chunin due to his inability to gain the general competency needed to be promoted to Jonin. Recently he was promoted up to Special Jonin becuase his sheer experience was determined to be enough to handle some of a jonin's responsibility.

Shortly afterward, he gets assigned a prodigy from the Senju who was rushed ahead a couple of years despite openly desiring not to be a ninja, a kid from last year's crop of genin who seems to be a bad day away from burning the whole village down, and the last of those filthy Ryus. He honestly doesn't see why the village is bothering with any of them. The Senju boy clearly doesn't want to be here, the bastard orphan son of a Hyuga and an Uchiha very clearly needs to be locked up, and seriously the Ryu's a goddamned Ryu.

He just wants to get one of them promoted to chunin so he can have the team disbanded and have them not be his problem anymore.

In combat, Fuji fights almost exclusively with taijutsu due to not thinking his own ninjutsu or genjutsu skills are reliable enough but knows no special taijutsu techniques.

I have finished the Tanigakure genin. With this I hopefully have submitted all the genin ideas I have for the forseeable future. Enjoy Elwurd but as a shinobi in the yakuza, poison dart frog girl and transgender smuggler girl. they all owe money to the yakuza. now to figure out the senseis for Kusa, Tani, Yu and Ame. hopefully my uniting theme of them all being people who participated in the same exam that Jirou did will help me come up with ideas.

Rika is a tough girl, being a thug for the yakuza she has acquired a bit of an intimidating presence. However she has a good heart and soft spot for beautiful women. She speaks a rough rude manner, and tends to be blunt about what she says. When provoked she can be brash and impulsive, but she is smarter than she seems and takes advantage of those who sees her as just a thug. She does not hide that she is attracted to women in the slightest. She hates her father and the yakuza for leaving her this debt, but currently its a cold, lazy hate.

History:

Rika inherited only a debt from her parents. Specifically, a debt to the Yakuza. Her father was way too much into gambling, drinking and prostitutes, and her mother gave her up to an orphanage run by the Yakuza as a tax break. When she was six she was informed her father died of alcohol poisoning by his lender, who told her that he still owed quite a big debt to the yakuza and now she inherited that debt. Given that she was only six, they cut her a deal: either become a ninja, funded by yakuza and go more into debt, or follow her mothers profession when she came of age to pay it off. She chose to become a ninja.

First she was called to do small smuggling jobs for the yakuza, but as she learned more shinobi skills, her jobs became more violent, being an enforcer on the protection racket, or shaking down others who were in debt, taking out rival drug dealers, being a thug for some extortionist, that sort of thing. She was given a chakra tattoo both to mark her as ninja associated with mafia and to increase her combat abilities. As she grew older and became a Genin she began to realize that she was stronger than most yakuza thugs and threatened them- but in turn the one who handled her simply smiled and revealed three Chuunin stronger than her that were also in debt to the yakuza, one of them was even missing nin, then roughed her up for daring to be so disrespectful.

Such was her lot that she was too busy with missions to pay off the debt that for two years she couldn't even go to the Chuunin Exams. During that time it became clear that she was incredibly bad ninjutsu beyond the basic three and seemed ready to give up- until she stomped the ground and caused an earth spike to shoot up. Experimenting, she found that she could better cast ninjutsu through her feet than her hands. She doesn't know why, but thats how it works for her. As she became a teenager she started becoming more interested in the same sex, and knew she had to get out of her father's debt and out of the yakuza life- any girl she ended up with would deserve better than the violent indebted thug she is now. A jutsu unique to Tanigakure, their ninja work closely with the yakuza and thus often get animal tattoos and use them as weapons, using Yang release to animate these tattoos to use as weapons or tools and bind them so they always return to their skin. Rika's tattoo is of a red serpentine dragon on her arm, allowing for it to leap off her skin to chomp at foes, grab at distant objects or grow large and be enhanced with Earth release to serve as a shield or dig through the earth.

Earth Tremor Sense:
She can sense whats happening in the Earth through her feet.

Rika enhances her skin with earth chakra, covering it with stone for a layer of protection and making her hit harder as well, making her immune to most small projectiles

Zakakiri maintains a disciplined state of mind so that she may keep her poison under control. She keeps herself cold and detached to the idea of killing people to make sure she can do her job to earn money and partially to make sure that when it happens by accident she can handle it better and act rationally about it. Her control breaks down when it involves her mother however and she is driven to make sure enough money is paid to ensure her mother is healthy, however her teammates are beginning to be included among the number of people she cares about, and she isn't sure how she feels about that, not wanting to harm them.

Zakakiri was once a normal girl. Sure she was in Tanigakure's academy to be a ninja but thats not that abnormal. The problem came when puberty hit, see Zakakiri is an inheritor of a rare little known Kekkei genkai known as Vishkanya Body. The way it works is that at puberty the person undergoes a metamorphosis into a poison-dart frog like being who skin is completely poisonous to even touch. Her appearance became this exotic display of bright colors in patterns over blackness much like a full body tattoo, their skin forever secreting dangerous venoms forever more and even their blood and saliva become venomous and toxic to anyone else. When she turned into this new form she was scared and afraid not knowing what happened, asking her mother in distress what happened.

Her mother, didn't know what was happening. Unlike most bloodlines, Vishkanya Body is a recessive gene and due to how it works isn't conducive to making a clan or reproducing well at all. Those few who know of this obscure bloodline consider it a curse. Her mother didn't even express the gene. Thus her mother loving her child and not knowing of the danger embraced her and assured her everything would be okay and they would figure out what is happening...then fell to the ground. Zakakiri alarmed quickly called the medic nin of village. They arrived in time to save her mother's life but they informed her that they had to keep in her in a coma to do it, the rare poison in her body stopped but not gotten rid of. They very carefully examined Zakakiri and sadly informed her of her condition: in her stress she was producing a rare highly potent poison, one that requires an incredible amount of money to treat and cure, taking multiple treatments over time to fully get rid of. Sadly, pulling the plug would be cheaper.

But Zakakiri could not accept that. She said she'd gladly go into debt to save her mother from her own poison and thus went to the yakuza for money to pay it off. They lent it to her to being the treatment but now he had to work off the debt for the yakuza. With her kekkei genkai she was employed to be a contract killer, an assassin for them, killing those people wanted dead. The more she killed, the more she realized that she was trading many lives to save one. But her mother is precious to her, and those the yakuza sends her kill people she doesn't know, with reasons why not specified. She is not being paid to care about the reasons.

She has specialized in taijutsu to take full advantage of her poison body, and has learned to control to a certain extent to make sure the toxin she secretes is at least nonlethal, but when her emotions run wild they turn deadly again. She seeks to become a Chuunin to get of her debt as well.

This kekkei genkai makes one's entire skin secretes a toxin, poisoning those that touch them and the people the user touches. Their blood and saliva is just as toxic to others and can apply poison to tools by licking them. They also become amphibious.

Poison Change:
The user can change the poison that they secrete, going from lethal to nonlethal and variety of effects as a result. She can't not produce poison.
-Lethal: causes pain and internal damage to any who ingest, breathe or touch the poison until they die in a few minutes
-Nonlethal: instead numbs any who ingest, breath or touch the poison to pain and makes them drowsy until they fall asleep
-Hallucinatory: any who ingest, breathes or touches the poison starts experiencing hallucinations, changing the perception of reality without genjutsu and impairing their judgment as they experience a euphoric high.

Taijutsu: Silent Killing Technique:
Zakakiri can silence her movements entirely to sneak up on somebody

Zakakiri is incredibly fast and is capable of closing distances incredibly quickly to fight at close range so she can deliver her poison

Zakakiri focuses her poison on her hands then attacks in a flurry of palm strikes to deliver dose after dose to rapidly build up poison in someone's system to kill or incapacitate them fast.

Tami maintains a positive attitude at least outwardly and has an innate compassion and gentleness. She likes being cute and is working on being sexy. She is adaptable to many social situations and is willing to lie and manipulate to get what she wants, and on some level plays up her femininity to assert her identity but at times to make people underestimate her. When her female form is dispelled her first reaction is some form of negative reaction and attempting to go to back to female form regardless of the benefits or downsides in the current situation. She will refuse any job requiring her to be in a male form, only actively holding people hostage will make her do so and even with reluctance, hatred and a secret plan to kill the person who made her do it after the jobs done forming in her mind.

Tami was born physically male, but that had always felt wrong. Since an early age she felt like feminine things were more interesting than things people said was male. She secretly liked dressing as a girl in private, she imagined herself a heroic onna-bugeisha or kunoichi fighting villains and saving the ojou-sama or hime- or being the ojou-sama being saved by the kunoichi, and she liked being gentle and polite. When people referred to by male pronouns it felt wrong, especially when she used them herself. As she trained as a ninja, learning the transformation jutsu gave her an early opportunity to become female and satisfy her curiosity.

When she did so, the transformed state felt right. She didn't know why, but it was as if everything was in harmony within herself. She began transforming constantly into female forms. She never felt happier in her life and was able to becoming better at transforming into female forms better than anyone. Tami was able to become different people and interact with them as someone different and after some practice she blended in seemingly as a girl. She became incredibly skilled at genjutsu from the different ways people perceived her and how she felt about it. However one day her Chuunin father caught her spending time off in her transformed state and demanded to know what she was doing. The transformation jutsu wasn't for slacking off it was a serious shinobi tool, so he demanded to know why Tami was just using it to go around as a girl for no reason. Tami decided to be brave for once and say she it was because she wanted to become a woman, that this felt like her true form and she hated that she had to dispel it every time she had to come home to be male again.

She was grounded in her room by her parents. They thought it complete nonsense, and an irresponsible use of a tool of deception. They thought that maybe some time spent alone unable to socialize with others teach her to go around deceiving your own village for frivolous purposes. Instead she decided to sneak out and run away from home, never to go back home ever again. They didn't understand she wasn't going to try and make them. Instead she tried to go to an orphanage, transforming into an unrelated young girl who had been living on the street and didn't know her parents. The orphanage however was run by yakuza who used it to kidnap. They soon found her skills and she told them her desire to be female.

They of course saw an opportunity, there is a medical missing nin specializing in giving people permanent alterations to their body to escape from the authorities, and they said that if she did enough jobs for the yakuza was loyal enough, they would allow her to meet with this medical nin to alter herself permanently into a female body. Of course the medic nin didn't work free so she'd have to save money for the operation, and she'd have to prove her loyalty to even get told the name or location. She of course questioned what proof did they have that this medic nin actually existed and wasn't just telling her a bunch of lies to lead her on. They said that was fair, and provided decisive proof for her that couldn't be dismissed.

So now in an apartment provided by the yakuza that she now has to pay off in debt as well, she began working smuggler and other such jobs for them, transporting illegal goods, drugs from here to there, shipping weapons, but also acting as a spy on their competitors in the land of rivers, using genjutsu to help make deals go through or not go through, and other such subtle manipulations. She now works to earn her way to the operation's price and to earn the yakuza's trust to let her see this missing nin medic. But she fears that the more she gets into the yakuza's business, the less likely she will be able to get herself out of it.

I need to be at least a little evil to make you sweat your choices. you have proven too smart for simple moral conundrums, so instead I've just made sympathetic character after sympathetic character who have no reason to not compete with each other for their own subjective reasons atop equally subjective reason until you either either realize your plan is impossible, a crazy PC Scheme that has no business working in a sane world and settle for having to pick and choose or some other compromise, or attempt to do it anyways and we see how glorious this hilariously absurd trainwreck can be/how good you actually are at carrying out this plan, either way it makes a story and a plot which is fine by me. *evil laughter*

1. on the jinchuuriki: but remember there is the whole pseudo-jinchuuriki thing that Rater talked about. its possible for Suna to just make your character a pseudo jinchuuriki with similar powers....but without the city-ending destruction. but if your character's thing is all about the trouble of being jinchuuriki itself I guess it won't work then. (Ami certainly is, since her entire characterization derives from the fact that she can't sleep and how this is an incredibly unhealthy state of mind, and thus any One Tail jinchuuriki would have enough troubles in their life without Gaara's additional problems)

2. Well, that could work. Thing is, Suna's and Iwa's desolate states could be because the Divine Tree being a planetary parasite drained those areas dry of life a thousand years ago and they just never recovered, and that West of them is more of that tree-drained wasteland going on and on for who knows how long, combine the fact that Hagoromo and Kaguya's battle was so great that it wrecked civilization so much they were reduced back to small villages with Hagoromo spending his entire life rebuilding and making up for the destruction he caused in the process, but then canonically humans have tried to exploit the tailed beasts in the past, and the tailed beasts became the monsters people thought they were and responded in kind after a while...

there is basically three different reasons why Naruto world counts as a post-apocalyptic one. and the four tails ravaging the land? would be one of them. considering what happened a thousand years ago, his devastation might've come later and more destroying what they managed to rebuild from the first time it happened though. like the inhabitants did a lot to restore Iwa for a time but someone ticked off the Four Tails for some reason and he set all those efforts back by centuries. which is probably a good detail to put in Iwa's history to the destructive wastefulness of conflict and such to demonstrate the long term effects of what all this large scale stuff is doing- it could've been restored by now, but at some point it all got blasted back to zero and they had to spend centuries to restore it back up again.

Well, I was just joining the hype train of the chunin exams and making up teams for it.


I wasn't sure if there is a Suna team yet, but anyway, my inspiration seems fixated on Iwagakure and religouse/tradional/conservstive characters/orgnizations. Maybe because I am reading Brandon Sanderson.
It feels like source for lot of conflicts.

So maybe I'l focus on Iwagkure.
The four tailed beast is actually very intresting for my/our take on Iwagakure-
He is Sun Wukong, who based of course on... Sun Wukong- The Monkey king who trashdd heaven and hell,and then the Celestial Burrau try to figure out how to handle him..

I think it can work. Themaitcly at least.

Maybe they used to work as small clans.. but after THE GREAT SUFFER (which both to be mysteriouse and plot convient remain vague) they were united into a village and adapting to become ninjas.

They used to keep Sun Wukong sealed inside a mountain, and not use him, but during the last world ninja war he was released and they had to seal him inside of human.

Just general idea.

I don't consider him a Psuedo Jinchuriki Per Se: BAsed on the example of both the Gold and Silver Brothers from canon and Sora from Shippuden filler, it seems that being a Psuedo-Jinchurki is more "infusing your cells with enough tailed beast chakra causes a mutation that allows your to produce that beast's chakra on your own" but I have been considering the value of a narrative where he's being groomed to be the new Four-Tails Host when the current one dies under the logic that he's already compatible with its chakra.

I won't push if you don't want to do that, I just want him kept in mind while you're doing this Iwa stuff.

yeah, Igor perhaps check what characters are already submitted before throwing out ideas like that? both my and rater's characters involving the tailed beasts were submitted and the OP edited to make them available for ease of reading long before you proposed your idea about the four tails. we can't nail specific things like in recent history without coordinating with other people. generally I have assumed that all nine jinchuuriki have been used for all three wars just for the sake of convenience and because any moral scruples about it would've been long thrown away amid the hatred and repeating cycle of vengeance.

now admittedly I must edit the original post for other characters submitted later but thats a whole 'nother can of worms.

Hm, tailed beast chakra mutating the user like that would actually explain how Gaara was able to manipulate sand after Shukaku was ripped from him, because somehow he kept all his sand abilities despite them coming from Shukaku.

I figure that's a case of Shukaku's chakra comingling with Gaara's o the point that Gaara permanently had Shukaku's power. We never really see him using Shukaku's Jinchuriki forms but the one time so we can't say for sure.

We also know that the 2-7 tails were able to just Give Naruto their chakra but this didn't seem to have any effect until he was given one tails and eight tails chakra.

However, it would probably mean that any plants or animals that were caught in an incident involving a tailed beast(or a Jinchuriki that transformed) might have absorbed traces of it and mutated if it survived.

Honestly, considering 1: That the tailed beasts can be controlled with Wood Release for one of two possible reasons* and 2: The Japanese trope of evil spirits or malevolent influences being bound to or sealed in trees or other plants, trees or flowers might be better at handling tailed beast chakra than people are.

...I need to find a way to introduce Ichika properly...

The next mission's the Jashin one, right? Bringing an unattached medic-nin to help examine the corpses?

I imagine that most of the mission she'd be off-screen examining bodies. It'd just be a way to make her someone whois known to exist.
