The remaining man, who had been struck by the Ray, finds himself moving a little more sluggishly, but it seems to have not had as much of an effect as hoped. As he surveys the situation, he decides his only bet is to flee and alert others, not quite sold on the possibility of running into the wall of swords. He starts towards the corner, but is definitely slower than most of his comrades, and only seems to barely make it around.

Aric is up next, Dorit on deck, and Angis in the hole.

Aric delays, looking at Quinn, "Well, that's something new, old friend. But now we are the ones who are stuck as the others run away."

Dorit grumbles, moving up to the barrier. "Drop this damn thing, old man, and trust us to do our jobs next time."

    Does Angis have a target?

    Lyrie delays her action.

The man currently in melee with Lyrie looks at the wall of blades and resigns himself to his fate, turning back to Lyrie and letting loose with his Longsword, but disappoints everyone as he succeeds in missing so dramatically you'd be sure he would have missed the wall if he had aimed for that.

As soon as he gets to the "T" he acrobatically goes around the corner in the opposite direction of where the hideout guys are .... so when others comes down the hallway, he will be screened by allies.

Dorit, on the other hand, rumbles down the hallway and turns to meet the bad guys. If she gets an attack, please let me know.

Angis will likewise continue down, but he will stop in the intersection square with Dorit in front of him ... unless Dorit was stopped at that square (in which case he will also acrobatically go back behind Aric).

Aric, Dorit, and Angis all approach the end of the hallway, and arrange themselves to see where the enemies are trying to escape to.

Behind you in the "T" the hallway continues approximately another hundred feet, and an assumed glance down that way finds another door. Meanwhile down the direction the enemies are trying to escape as a group, the hallway continues another 100 feet too. There is an open door on one side about 40 feet down. You can see the heavily armored one closest to the group, he hasn't made it to the door yet. Behind him, closer to the door, is the ranged attacker, and the halfling is nowhere in sight. The heavily armored one is about 15 feet from the corner.

The ranged attacker looks at you guys, draws another arrow in the air that lets fly towards Aric in the back missing wildly, and then bolts into the doorway.

Lyrie is up next. Remember that Lyrie is currently in melee with the remaining melee foe that has not tried to flee, who is embarrasingly poor at actually hitting her.

Quinn takes a second to calm Asanasath. When Asanasath was an astral deva acting on his own, he was used to going in alone against evil forces, setting up a blade barrier, and then shooting his bow at many enemies beyond. Now, in a much more fragile mortal shell, and responsible for that life with which he has given a measure of his power, Asanasath sees that his most common tactic as a superhuman solo agent was a liability.

Quinn nods his head and resolves to do better. He downs a shield extract to protect him from the coming counterattack. He moves to help Lyrie while drawing his sword cane.

While Aric and Dorit both make attempts to be dangerous, Angis launches multiple shots at the bard, and one of them scores a clean hit for 8 damage, and the Halfling looks obviously hurting now.

The archer steps back from Dorit, and is surprised as Dorit follows after him, and draws another arrow that he attempts to launch at Angis. However, Dorit lands a solid strike on him, distracting his focus and causing him 17 points of damage. Despite this, his arrow still strikes true on Angis, dealing 10 points of damage to the laughing elf. The archer looks very badly wounded.

The halfling winces and retreats further, and casts a spell on himself, healing himself for 9 health.

Quinn lands a clean blow into the mans side for 6 damage.

The weakened soldier attempts another strike at Aric, but this one falls flat.

Aric is laughing, Dorit is up, And Angis is on deck.

Dorit sees that the idiot halfling (B1) didn't get in a position behind the guard (R1). "Angis, run down that little bastard," she growls with a growing ferocity. She then gives R1 everything she has, sliding her visor up to locked position to reveal teeth ready to chew through metal.

Dorit unleashes a flurry of attacks dealing 19, 9, and 10 damage, causing the foe to immediately collapse to the ground before he even seems to notice.

Angis cartwheels past his foe, but the man attempts to take a swing at him nonetheless. Thankfully for Angis, this attack misses and Angis is able to fire off painful shot at the Halfling for 12 damage

The Halfling groans in pain as the arrow hits him, and casts another spell on Angis.

Please roll a Will save for Angis against Hideous Laughter

    Lyrie is up.

Now, Angis is faced with the same magic that hit his human colleague. Aric seemed like little better than a noble, but Angis was an elf - a creature who is one with magic and has learned to throw off paltry enchantments! No paltry halfling bardic magic can, can ..... can ..... BWAH-HAHAHAHA!

The man fighting Lyrie and Quinn in the hallway takes 2 damage from Lyrie's Magic Missile, then moves away from Lyrie and attempts to attack Quinn again, but fails miserably.

    Quinn is up next.

Quinn counters the man by moving back but keeping pace with his forward progress. He voltes back left and studies his footwork before spinning to do a demi-volte (quick spin with the blade thrust from behind his back).
