Maps for a sci-fi game?
Starting a new sci-fi campaign (using STaRS, if it matters), I realize that I'm... not very good at designing ships and stations. Can anyone recommend a source for decent blueprints for spaceships, space stations, moon bases, that sort of thing?
The tone of the campaign is probably closer to Mass Effect 1 than anything else.Hill Giant Games

STaRS: A non-narrativeist, generic rules-light system.
Grod's Guide to Greatness, 2e: A big book of player options for 5e.
Grod's Grimoire of the Grotesque: An even bigger book of variant and expanded rules for 5e.
Giants and Graveyards: My collected 3.5 class fixes and more.

Re: Maps for a sci-fi game?
IIRC Mass Effect doesn't have a ton in the way of deck plans and the like. On the other hand, ships do seem to be designed roughly similar to Traveller, which means turning Traveller ship deck plans into ME-style ones shouldn't be too difficult.
SpoilerProbably the biggest thing to keep in mind is that ME ships are designed with the cockpit/bridge at the 'front' and the engines at the 'back', whereas a more realistic ship is likely to have the control either central or at the 'top'* and the engines at the bottom, unless you've designed for centrifugal gravity. We're looking more at Star Destroyers (Republic era), not Lighthuggers in terms of design.
Pretty much everything is streamlined though, even ships that never enter atmosphere. No Lady MacBeths here.
*It really depends on your ship's purpose and if you're dropping remass tankage

Google the "Future Armada" line of starship and space station deck plans. I can vouch for their quality.

Re: Maps for a sci-fi game?
I made a similar post a few years ago. I hope you find the reply as “helpful” now as I did back then, http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...aps&p=17053700
But more seriously, do you just want something with listed rooms, like this?: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ae/61...878660a9d5.jpg
