Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Distracted by the flying dragon, Malaika failed to anticipate the other dragon's attack. She let out a short yelp as the acid engulfed her. She twisted away to avoid the brunt of it, but inhaled some in the process. She started coughing and gagging, her eyes watering. She felt light-headed and weakened.
"That can't be good," she muttered.
Aurora glanced down at Kest.
"Kest, can you handle those ghost by the wall over there? I'm concerned they might just go through the ramparts like those shades did yesterday!" Aurora lifted her head and surveyed the field once more, gaze fixating on the daemons in the middle. Judging where she could have the greatest impact, she flapped her cloud-like wings, stirring Kest's hair with the downdraft, and propelled forward.
"Alright, Ibli, do what you do!" she whispered as she flew 60' southeast, and then 55' south (30,-31/-25,-26) and landed at the edge of the fountain.
Aurora's eyes flashed an unearthly blue and her voice seemed to have a dual quality briefly, as Iblisavcisi used her voice.
"Rüzgar," she said, Iblisavcisi echoing the word telepathically.
A ripple of power spread out from the horseshoes on Aurora's feet as they activated their dedicated power. (Check to overcome SR if applicable: (1d20+15)[17])

The Holy Word banished all Lacridaemons
All Wights were destroyed.
All Nupperibos in range were banished.
The Bloody Bones, Tiyanak, Takrilak, and Haunt seemed phased somehow. The Soul Reaper and Green Dragon were both unphased.

"What?" Nameless asked, bewildered. She cried out in surprise and pain as the spell hit her, but she shook like a dog drying off, steeling herself against the pain, resisting the worst of its effects.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Immediately as the dragon beast began to breath its vile acrid putrecince, Gorrun clapped his shields together in front of himself and blocked out the cloud, but looking over at Mailaka, Geir, and Umbear caught in the stream he could do nothing but avenge. Draw in close. I'll set you right in a moment. he called out to Malaika. Looking back to the dragon as its jaws snapped shut. He responded I'll take fat and senile over the fate that has befallen you any day.
He opened his shield barrier with force, unleashing fury on the dragon and the other creature beside him in turn.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Gorrun pummeled the Green Dragon but missed twice. His attacks seem to cut through the beast's defenses. By the end of the attack against it, the Green Dragon looked as critical as an undead could look.
Next, Gorrun turned his attention to the Soul Reaper. His barrage of attacks all connected, but did not hit as hard as he expected. The Soul Reaper still appeared grazed.
Geiravor looked south to the Wyrmwraith. She held her left hand flat and level with her heart (Swift Action)

Malaika eyed the skeletal dragon warily, but she saw an opening. So she moved 5' east and 10' southeast to stop adjacent to Gorrun and the dragon (20,21/-20,-21), chancing its wrath at her approach. Glaring at the beast with indignant spite, she thrust a dagger forward!

Malaika blocked the beast's strike as she approached it, and growled in frustration when her own blow missed.
Alyren let out a low roar as the first skeleton's teeth sank deep into his leg. Blood poured from the wound. The paladin blocked or dodged the other attacks from the blinded monsters. Seizing his opportunity when one of the skeletons had to circle around to get close, the paladin thrust his lance towards the undead abomination as it approached!

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
The Paladins barrage beat down the Alu-Demon, but 8-26 gave the finishing blow, reducing her to ash.
After the arrows just passed through, the Haunt, the archers moved onto the Azizou. 8-27 took down the Azizou with well shot arrow. The next target was Takrilak, but some of the arrows did no damage and those that did damage did very little.
6-18 took down the Nupperibo in a single hit.
6-16 killed two more Nupperibos.
6-17 finished off the Nupperibos.
6-13 killed the Tiyanak.Edge Grinder

Seeing the feild clearing rather quickly, and the gargantuan creature on the ground umbear takes note of everyones location and needs. Umbear's eyes glow with purple psychic energy as he expends his psionic focus. Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
The Green Dragon hissed as the bright flash hit its eyes, but it managed to move just right to avoid Umbear's Blizzard Blast. The Wyrmwraith, however, was not so lucky. The giant ghost dragon was hit by the icy energy blast. The Wyrmwraith hissed as its form began to fade.
"It be a cold day in Hel before...." It was gone before it could finish.
The Soul Reaper was very surprised by the defeat of the Wyrmwraith, but it was still in the thick of battle and had action to take. With scythe, it tore at Gorrun.

Gorrun's extra attacks hit, except for the first one. While he hit, not all of his attacks seemed to hurt the Reaper. Those that did hurt it did not seem to effect much.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Markas looked between the Green Dragon, who seemed to be on its last legs, and the Soul Reaper, which seemed to actually be giving Gorrun a tough time, which was definitely a cause for concern. THe problem was the much larger dragon was between him and Gorrun's opponent and Markas knew he couldn't reach the general without dealing with the dragon first, besides, it's attack on his allies both physical and verbal deserved an answer.
Spoiler: draconic"The problem with you, dragon, is you only believe in absolutes. While some of us may grow old, fat, or senile, that isn't the fate for all of us! The Green Dragon sensed Markas coming, but despite that, she could not hit him! Markas pummeled the dragon a few times before the dragon seemed to shudder and a strange intangable force emitted from its body, but Markas kept punching! With his fifth hit, the force rippled and the green dragon ravener collapsed into a clamor of giant bones. Then, he moved onto the Soul Reaper, but he only landed a single punch even his Deafening Fist missing.

Re: (IC) Festival of Heroes - Fenris Howls - Main
Aurix gets ready to dive in and engage the Wyrmwraith when a blast envelops and destroys it. Aurix pauses, tracking the source of the blast, and outstretches his hands towards Umbear in shocked dismay. "Really?? Really?!? I totally had that, come on!!" Aurix shakes his head, then surveys the battlefield again. Both dragons have fallen, and the southern battleground is dominated by Paladins. Only the Soul Reaper and the Takrilak remain a threat, in the center of the field where their greatest strength lies. Aurix has doubts as to whether he could even reach the creatures before his friend dispatch of them.
"Well never mind," he says to Torilee and Ais. "I was all pumped up, but Umbear beat us to it. No point in jumping in now. Let's have a look at the tower and see if more is coming. Aistriu, are you heading off? I see you have wings now." Aurix moves 110 feet north and peers at the tower, seeking sign of more forces emerging.

Aistriú chuckled slightly at Aurix.
The new butterfly wings flapping, Aistriú left Aurix's shoulder and sailed 60' east (21/-26) while descending from 60' to 10'. Aistriú wrinkled their nose at the offensive odor of the nearby troglodytes, but they'd smelled worse animals out in the field.
"Alright, uh, you! Paladin!" the danthienne said, pointing at Alyren, "And... Umbear! And... uhhh... oth-er shobhad, whose name I forgot (I'm sorry)," they said wryly. "I will sing a boon for you if you are willing to take it! With an old Sylvan song!"
The tiny fey cleared their voice and began singing.
"We will run and not grow weary,
for our Gods will be our strength,
and we will fly like an eagle
we will rise again!
I am strenghth to the weary,
