Greeda smiled. How Doc can NOT be a pet? He even wag his tail and does cute pet noises.

"Well, I don't want to say you are my pet, but... I care.'

"Well, I don't want to say you are my pet, but... I care.'

"I appreciate you not calling me a pet," he replies. "And that you care."

Doc checks on their parrot to make sure she is not having trouble with the tent. "Everything good over here?" he asks.

Lorra isn't going good. Either she is too terrified of Greeda to function, either she never did it before

"Here, let me help you, Lorra." Doc will try to set up the tent. Maybe he can calm her down.

"Just think, not long from now you'll be back with your friends and safe from crazy little ponies like me, right?" He was trying to use some humor to help.

"Tha-thank you. Not that anybird will be too thrilled to see me back, but.. it's nice of you." Together you manage to set the tent.
It's not great, but it seems it will hold, if no major wind will blow.
The tent was made from a strong enchanted plastic. And a symbol was printed on it.

"Well it's only proper to at least get you back to someplace familiar, you know? I think we got an understanding that we can at minimum be civilized."

Greed leads to advancement? That seems so backwards to Doc. Who made this tent?

"Yeah. Well our options are to suck it up and sleep close up or sleep out side on the ground. I for one am mature enough to sleep in tight quarters without feeling bothered. Done it before at home."

Greera nod. 'Sure. I guess, but we need to split the watch between two of us."
Lorra:"What about me? I can watch too.'

Greeda laugh. "And murder us in our sleep?'

"I don't think Lorra would murder us," Doc said, "But we did have a fight this morning and I worry you'll fly off on us, Lorra. We'll have a short rest and be ready to finish this trip early in the morning. Greeda, we can trade off in 3 hour shifts. I can take the first and third, you can have second and fourth."

"Sound good to me.' Greeda smiled.

Lorra sigh. "Can I at least share my food with you?'

Doc was feeling kind of hungry. "I guess we can share food. I didn't have much to bring."

He sits down and sees what he did have.

"So, Lorra, where did you know Proff from?"

Lorra pull out bunch of dried seeds.
"They are made in the labs of our company. Concetrated minerals required for nourishment, and yet much cheaper then pre war seeds!"
Greeda was hungry as well, and took a seat.
"Heh. You birdies sure like cheap things."
"And what is wrong with that? Genes aren't the only element."

"Nothing wrong with being frugal. You only have so much money at one time, right?" Doc asks.

He'll accept the seeds and try them.

The taste.. is very artifical.
Not bad, but artifical. It edible, but would probably be better with some processing like cooking.
It's a bit bitter and crunchy.

Greeda:"Well. I guess, we are both Echidnians. I can tolerate your company's antics."
"And, neither of us are from the hive!" Lorra forced a laugh.

Doc remembers home, and how sometimes he didn't cook the best for his family. Other times Prosperity didn't cook the best. But they did try to learn together and that was good memories.

Doc laughs along with them, not knowing much of what the joke is about, but not wanting to feel left out.

Doc hear buzz.
Few of them.
Greeda and Lorra finally warming up, but Doc's senses are distracted from it.
Actually dozens of buzzs. Hundreds.

Two pony like figures , aporaching, *rattling*, slowly toward your camp. There is something eerie in their movements. Like of puppets rather of a living being. And the buzzing noises are coming from them

[DigoDragon]

Doc immediately grabs his rifle and gets up. "I hear buzzing. Like a swarm of insects coming this way."

He wonders if he should put out the fire, but he doesn't know if his group will be able to see in the dark. "Sounds unnatural."

Doc tries to follow the sounds.

Doc see them, and now Greeda and Lorra as well.
"Feathers.' Lorra curse. And draw pair of pistols.

Thanks to the epic perception of Doc, they have free round of attack, if they choose to attack.

"Okay, so what in Equestria are they?!" Doc asks. He raises his ride to shoot one of the creatures.

Greeda snarl with an enraged "Behhhhh!!!" And charge at one of them, and Lorra shot twice at the same that Doc shot at. Though she miss both shots, and one of her pistols get jammed!
Rather then the sound of blood splash and ripped flash, there is a sound of whinning buzz- of dieing insects?

In the flash of the shots reveal a gorey sight-
The enemies are pair of skeletons, red and dripping blood, with a very few bits of flash, dissapearing slowly.
The skeletons are hosts for swarm of creatures- not.. exactly insects- they are tiny, but have quine body type with six legs.
It seems all your hits hitted just the swarm.
And then all dark again beside the fire.

Either the swarm manipulated skeletons move more effeinctly then you, either the horror hold you back, they move faster.
Greeda is already engaged in melee with one of them-
Hundreds of tiny critters try to sting her, through her coat, and then the ekelton punching her with a skeletal hoof.

The other one charge toward Lorra, swarm trying to sting and bite her, while the skeleton try to bite her

Doc's turn

Doc wants to find a sturdy branch on the ground. Something he can swing like a club. If he can find one, then he will dip it in the campfire so that he has a large flaming club. It's ok if it doesn't add anything special to the attack, Doc just wants to see if hitting these creatures with a club that's on fire will scare them.

If he can't find a branch to use like a club, he will draw his dagger and go help Greeda fight the swarm.

You'll have to let me know if Doc can find the branch or not. I assume getting the branch and setting it on fire will be his turn, but if he can't find a branch then Doc can still attack with his dagger.

Doc grab a burning branch waving it widely- too far from Greeda's swarm- but it's not in a complete vain- the swarm of the little critters screech

Lorra drop her jammed pistol, disengaging back to the fire, raising a branch.
Greeda still enraged, but her ramming getting between the critters of the swarm, and the skeleton is unphased.
If anything, Doc at least seemed to anger the swarm and get attacked, while the skeleton tried to bite Greeda.
Doc, notice something intresting- Lorra stand by the fire, and the swarmed skeleton attack her, but they seems more slow and hesitante. Well, if anything they don't like fire. The skeleton act the same.
Lorra manage to swing her burning branch, avoding their stings and fangs.
And dodge away from the skeleton.

(I rolled irl if this ok. Mechanicly, the swarm which attack Lorra is at disavantage.
If they will get hit by fire, it's double damage and they need to save roll against fear.)

Doc recovers from his clumsy fumbling to find his footing. 'I'm glad Prospi isn't here to see me fail like this,' he thinks to himself.

"Greeda, come closer to the fire! These things don't like fire!" He tries again to swing his flame club, this time trying to focus his emotions to strike the swarm.

Doc's anger is felt like a burning light. "Feel Celestia's wrath!" He don't know why he just said that. But his strike suddenly feels stronger when he swings!

(if Doc hit with his club above, I want to use Smite. That's an additional (3d8)[13] damage).

Many claim Celestia died, but if that the case, how the fire turned pure white for a moment, burning hundreds of those critters, that in this pure fire now seems to have.. pony type of bodies.
The swarm is basicly dissolved, the few which remain cling to the skeleton's joints, spine and few inside the skull. They somehow operate the skeleton.


"If you don't have a lot you aren't worth of my time!' Lorra yell, and stab the swarm with her burning branch, dozens of insect-things fall and screech, she also shot with her pistol the pressure squashing more.
The swarm is still a dark cloud around the bloody skeleton, but less then of half of them have remained.

The skeleton infront of Doc and Greeda try to bite the source of it's turmoil- Doc, but seemed too hesitante and slow, so Doc easily dodged it.

The other swarm and skeleton didn't fared much better against Lorra.
Greeda laugh. "Ha! Doc, you are too strong, no need to back off!"
But maybe her arrogance made her look silly, because she rammed way above the pony skeleton who is shorter then her.
Now it's Doc's time to act again.

Doc was surprised at the sudden flare of pure white light! Where did this power come from?

Greeda laugh. "Ha! Doc, you are too strong, no need to back off!"
But maybe her arrogance made her look silly, because she rammed way above the pony skeleton who is shorter then her.

"Don't get too confident, Greeda," Doc warned. "You don't want to open yourself up to an attack."

He swings again at the same target as before.

The fire return to normal, and the next hit take off clean the jaw of the pony, exposing bunch of those critters squezed together snarl at Doc-but then they lead the skeleton disengage, and make it gallop away.

Lorra on the other side, fair badly. The swarm despite the torch washed over, stinging and biting over her torso dozens over dozens of bleeding stings have apeared.
The skeleton tried to bite her, but in Lorra's panic she kicked it away.
Lorra gathered herself and with self risk managed to burn and shot the swarm away.

Greeda charged after the escaping skeleton, but missed again. She released an enraged "Beh!"

Doc's time to act again.
