Anchor puts on her helmet. Over the sunglasses; she's had it adjusted for that.

"We'll take your way in. I have a couple ways to track people too, I mean, depending on how close we arrive."
She looks over to Sekhmet. That's a pretty cool looking suit of armor too. Very classical.
"Whenever you're ready. Remember to stick together, and not bother any archfiends."

[Visiting Family]

Zophiel pulls down some branches, and Hunter lifts her gun and shoots out another branch.
Together, they leave the jelly with nothing to hold onto, and the last piece of it falls back towards out heroes.

Hunter fires another shot quickly enough to snap off a flailing jelly arm right before it hits the ground.

Message's Temple

Sekhmet doesn't seem to appreciate her armor nearly as much as Anchor does. She looks at both the goddess and the paladin nervously, then nods. "Uh, stand back." She reaches out and tears the fabric of reality asunder, a rift forming and opening out into a ragged gateway hanging in midair in front of Sekhmet. Cold air blasts out through it, and the fiendling shivers in response, but steps through onto a windswept plain of ice and snow under a black, sunless sky.

Zophiel pauses and lets the vines retract.

He looks at the jelly creature, so that he can track its movement and, after it hits the ground he jolts towards the creature. He tries to put his foot on it, to partially crush and also to hold it down.

Zophiel nods: sticking together is definitely a good idea, especially if they want to get back safely.
He briefly considers making more changes to his magical seal, relaxing its strength or something, but figures that since they aren't planning on bothering any archfiends, it should be alright. Definitely won't be dangerous enough to warrant that.

He steps back to give some space. He feels cold, but it's not quite enough to shiver. (Maybe if he hadn't made any modifications to the seal before coming, it would have felt colder, but...now, it's cold but not unbearable.)
He follows through the rift in reality, into the dark snowy expanse.

While Zophiel stomps on the last little bit of jelly, Hunter draws her sword again and goes to finish the thing off. One burning slash and none of the jelly is moving.
"And there's your demonstration. Good fighting."

Sandstone grabs onto the side of a tree nearby and twists around to look at the battlefield.

[Hell]

Anchor stands back as instructed and watches.
So it is the cold region Sekhmet mentioned. That's a good sign, right?
She's dressed fine for temperatures like these, so just steps in through the rift and quickly looks around.

A Cold Day in Hell

"Phew!" Sekhmet says after everyone's through the rift, her breath forming into an icy cloud in front of her face. "Let me, uh, get my bearings." She closes her eyes and breathes deeply, in and out, in and out. Then she opens them again. "We need to go down." It doesn't look like there's any way down, just a flat plain. "This place is riddled with sinkholes, we, uh, just need to find one." Sekhmet sets off across the icy wastes.

Fettina quietly sidles off down the passage after a few moments' deliberation, not wanting to interfere or witness this. She hopes they're doing the right thing here... and that helping Carmen is the right thing in the first place. She's never really been very good at gauging what's the 'right' thing.

Maiel leans down so only Telly can hear his rumbling whisper. He sounds amused. "Do you think you can really bring them over to your side? Make them work for you, perhaps?"

Telly smiles and raises her palm towards him. "I'm not one wound someone's pride like that. I know his type, the proud kind. Wenomir would never accept the idea of working for me. I just need to make sure that our interests happen to coincide and let him take his own decisions. Giving him anything in return for that would be an insult. It has to be his own choice without any prodding from me." She stops and looks around. "Hey, aren't you still completely sober, Maiel? Tsk, some party animal you are!"
