I always understood a crush to mean being infatuated with someone you are not in a romantic relationship with. Like if you start dating your crush it stops being a crush and becomes the honeymoon phase of a romantic relationship. Two people could have crushes and know it, but if there isn't a romantic relationship it remains a crush.

I think the term itself is based on that feeling of inferiority and desperation that comes from being infatuated with someone, like there is a weight on you.

S. Rogers is Thor's Teammate, and thus frequently appears in Thor comics. Or at least they often appear together in the same comic. Thus he would care about the contents of the comics. Cyclops and Colossus less so. OKay, a bit of a stretch there anyway.
