Im not quite sure how being kind caring protective hard working brave and dedicated is not a personality. But ok. What is a personality then? The difference is an "incel" is none of those things, just pretending to be so they can get what they are "owed" from the mammary possessing portion of the population.

Why are they seeing shore every which way?

It's supposed to be a big lake not a long one, if it was a long one they ought to follow a road or something.

7 pages of lake flight, and I have to say that it's not bad. It's probably the most realistic depiction of Snout we got until now.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Part of the purpose of entertainment, the main purpose, some would say, is that it be entertaining. This has offered nothing of the sort. There's no tension, no drama, no comedy, absolutely nothing of value in these pages. They may serve a "purpose" in establishing character or setting the scene or some such, but they still fail wholly as entertainment.

You know what I wish? Its something ive said before, but, I wish that when this comic was completed, we get it again, this time from the pov of someone who can hear whats going on. I want to see the story where we actually know whats being said and done when people arent spelling things out for snout. I think that it could be a really really interesting experience to read where our assumptions were right and wrong. Like how I half jokingly stated earlier. This entire flight, we havent seen what the rest of the people are doing, so im imagining them involved in some important discussions and planning sessions as they prepare to take care of whatever they are here for, but also have to come up with something important sounding for snout to do that keeps him out of trouble without making him feel cast aside.

Sure, that could be interesting. If a competent writer were behind this. Do you want to know what the others are talking about right now? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They aren't saying or doing anything relevant because Mookie never bothered to think about it. This story told from a deaf pov isn't intended to be insightful and thought provoking; it's merely a cheap gimmick to give Mookie less work. He doesn't have to think about dialog or characterization. He doesn't even need to concern himself with logical plot progression because he can just keep playing the "Snout doesn't know what's going on card" whenever something doesn't make sense. This whole story was designed for the sole purpose of playing to Mookie's strengths: bad art and chunky exposition.

No, no, you're looking at this wrong.
    This isn't a flaw.
    It's a feature.
By disassembling itself upon reaching the desired destination the vehicle saves its occupants lot of time they would otherwise have wasted getting off the ride.

A additional advantage is that you don't need to worry about storage or- in case of magical constructs -dismissal of your vehicle...

    Yeah, not buying it either.
With this bad a ratio of flights to crash landings you should look to replace the pilot and/or the creator of your magic plane thingy.
So, either way, Ink Witch goes on the chopping block.

Any landing that you can walk away from because the party included a healer who survived to patch you up is a good one.

    Okay, that's just a bad party line-up.
You always have a healer. And if it's just a guy with the pockets full of potions.
It's a major miracle they're all still mostly fine.
Especially with Ink Witch's prefered landing style.

They have healer, it's Snout. You remember, magic now is subtle. Not like in DD's days. You lie naked alongside people, and they get better.

And I love the "subtle" way magic works now -- it can make airplanes, but it cannot make landings.

And I love how the Ink Witch keeps crashing, and yet takes innocent bystanders with her on her flying deathtrap, presumably out of spite.

Looks like everyone is a melanomancer nowadays. Even people who live in the middle of a lake. So The Ink Witch didn't attempt to land, the Inky of the Lake just decided to dissolve her ship so as to... steal the ink from Snout's diary?

Look it doesn't make sense to me either.

I think that the spiral is meant to be one of those symbols Snout has been writing in his diary, renewal. https://www.dominic-deegan.com/wp-co...7_20200427.jpg

Also, that is an Orc, and she appears to be wearing garlands over her mostly naked body. Since Orcs are strict herbivores, I can only come to the conclusion that that's the Orkish equivalent to showing up naked, except for a strategically placed cover of whipped cream.

Also, none of the stuff he has written down in there is particularly irreplaceable. Sure, there's probably some emotional attachment on Snout's part, but the actual content of the diary isn't unique. He can just get his friends to help him rewrite that stuff.

And of course it's all moot because the diary isn't getting erased again.

Snout's poetry has become "renewal challenges order". Wow, such deep, so thought. Definitely was worth crashing these people into my lake to tell them this very important platitude!
