I still rewatch the generation 4 episodes, spread out over time to keep the spirit alive and help tide me over until generation 5 starts.

I'll rewatch my favorites sometimes. More commonly I'll look for reaction channels on YouTube. There's something vicariously satisfying seeing someone else go through big moments like Crusaders of the Lost Mark or Twilight's Kingdom.

Yeah, we've been blessed with a very active and extensive fandom. I guess that's one of the things that drew me in. It's nice to get daily updates on equestria daily and I'm sitting on a bunch of MLP fancomics that I've been deliberately ignoring so I can binge through a bunch of updates later. :3

As for myself, I've been in the habit of watching an episode every day before work (I'm currently mid-way through Season 3 on my current watch through)

I haven't in a couple weeks, because my daughter got in trouble and wasn't allowed to watch My Little Pony for a while.

Neigh, I don't watch the old episodes anymore. I'll sometimes rewatch old fan videos and comic readings.

I'm still running my Shadowtrot campaign every other Sunday. It's been so successful that I started a second game by PbP. I should develop my campaign book more and put it up publicly online for other people to play in. I've found Starfinder a pretty good system for the setting. It's got good crunch that works with cyberpunk themes.

After seeing the dumpster fire that is Marvel's attempt at socially conscious (or implementing without the context of the universe, especially Inhumans which the "marginalized" are marginalized because some idiot *cough, Black Bolt* let the gas running around and cursed them with it WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT, and people who were sick from gas were portrayed as bad guys for opposing them) and the Marvel Civil War comic, I do have cautious about it.
But I think Season 8 had those elements, like Twilight dealing Ponies' education minister being a xenophobe that also reflected on ponies running away from Zecora but Twilight had the advantage of being royalty (plus Children's version of Accepted movie complete with unaccredited school with five teachers with little teaching credentials and three underage children as faculty).

I'll at least give G5 a try and will reserve judgment until then. I really want to like G5 and inclusivity and diversity are good things, so if handled well enough that shouldn't be a problem. We won't know until we actually see it.

As for certain toxic elements of the fandom, well, screw them. I don't intend to let them ruin my enjoyment of the next generation of pony.

    True, there's two dichotomy.
    Aging audience and dedicated consumers.
Harley Davison had this since their audience are middle-aged but started losing once they grow old.
Seeing that with DnD as well.

Mine is nearly 13. Recently we've been watching the Netflix She-Ra series (my second watch, her first) and Bojack Horseman (apparently she gets a lot of the themes and I don't know if I should be concerned about that).

Im holding reaction until I see some concept art or script or something like that to get a feel for the style the show will have. The description just don't give me much at the moment.

I used to be, but due to various Covids running round the country I've been unable to get into London to pick up my order. Fortunately, by the time I contacted the shop to cancel it they still hadn't gotten any in.

Frankly, the comics were a bit hit and miss, but then, so was the main series. The last one I enjoyed reading was the Nightmare Knights one.

I need to find time to read more of it; I picked up a whole bunch from HumbleBundle once, and what I read was pretty good. Not much of a comic person though, and there's always something else to be doing.

    So, important question:

If San Antonio were a city in Equestria, what would its name be? The current leader is "San Anponio", but I'd like some other suggestions, if you have them.

All I know, is that when you go to San Cantonio, you need to stop and visit the Alamare.

Where many brave patriots died fighting the Marexican government because they thought they were defending people's freedoms...

Even though looking at it objectively that... isn't 100% true.

Can Tonio or San Cantonio seems appropriate, like the others suggested. Canteronio maybe? I don't suppose it has a nickname that would lend itself better to getting pony-ized?

Where did you get that? I have a soon-to-be-4-year-old who desperately needs this for her birthday.
I bought this via Etsy and there are 2 versions of it available. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the specific link with respect to the rules regarding advertising, but simply googling for sleeping princess luna plush will quickly yield the result you're looking for. Or you could PM me if you want the specific link (edit: Oh wait, you're a mod. You could tell me if it's allowed).

It took a few months to arrive though, so hopefully your kid is patient (yeah right, at that age? ) or her birthday is like half a year away.

San Antonio's nickname is Santone, which would ponify to Cantone in this scheme and probably get pronounced canton since it's an actual word.

The Mod Ogre: This would be allowed. It's not strictly advertising (while you are telling me where I can buy a thing, you didn't post this as a "Look at this thing you can buy from me/my friend"), and falls into the "creative work" exception. The rules for advertising are mostly "Don't make a thread or post about a thing people can buy, especially not from you or someone you are associated with"
