Hmmm, two Aetherium causeways opened in rapid succession, one going from earth to the station, and the other one going back. I'm certain this will not have any repercussions... XD

Yeah, that seemed malicious rather than playful. Come on Sydney.

    Not my favorite update.

Yeah I loved it right up until the end there with the food. It was kind of neat to have NDT kind of nerding out over the picture and the implications of what it means for scientific knowledge in various fields he has an interest in. I also saw the telegraphed "brb" coming with her going out to actually ask how it works so she could go "Oh yeah, its this."

To be fair, the first time around the stuff was harmless by her standards.

To be honest though, she has some problem understanding that her tastes in food are not universally appreciated. Remember the time she wanted to thank the tailor by gifting him some super spicy candy? She really thought it was a great idea.

Sydney does have a narcissism streak, although I suspect it's more because everyone bends over backwards to let her do whatever pops into her head instead of expecting her to think about other people's preferences. See also her near complete lack of respect for other people's boundaries.

Basically, she's a three year old in the body of a woman in her mid-20s.

I think she just doesn't realize her love of food that is so spicy it literally burns a hole through your tongue and into your very soul is not widely shared.

Probably not, given that there've been actually red-headed people in the comic appearing so far. It threw me off, too, though, because I've got hair just a little darker than that colour, and I sure don't consider myself a redhead.

I like the colour, but red it ain't.

Pfft, pink is just lightish red. There have been discussions on this and everything.

Sure, but 'redhead' has a very specific connotation. Heck, it's rarely even real red.

Redhead often gets applied to those soul less ginger creatures. So if orange can be red, why not pink?

Because pink is the result of either dye or a wig. I've known strawberry-blondes who are redder than Sydney's look.

I can't help picturing someone running around waving a big document in people's faces every time someone says "flaunting the law".

Someone can flaunt their flouting of the law. That's been done and said, but it doesn't make flaunting flouting.

    Oh, that wacky Sydney.

Just realized that she is a massive leak risk thanks to the Giant Pink Panther and blurting things out...

... and then blurts out something else that's also a leak risk.

Doesn't the Veil specifically hide things like that?

Yes, something that was pointed out after her first faux pas.

However, IIRC, it only affects visuals.

It doesn't stop someone nearby going "Wait, succubus? We find out aliens are real, but ... succubi are too?"

Pixel even points it out. "Please don't blurt out things like 'I forgot about all the stuff you're not supposed to see.'"

I assumed that Pixel was just saying that because its a bizarre thing to say period.

    Olivia meets Pixel.
Pixel arrives (to Sydney's eyes) in werepanther form.
Sydney blurts out that she forgot all the stuff Olivia wasn't supposed to see.
Pixel reminds Sydney that the veil is still in effect; Sydney realizes that she's a security risk because of her habit of blurting things out.

And here she is, blurting things out again.

As far as we have seen, Sydney actually has pretty good control over what she does or does not just blurt out at people. She is, as far as she is aware, engaging in a relatively private conversation with another person already in the know. A conversation, furthermore, that lacks any context to people just passing by, and would therefore be difficult to actually construe any real meaning from. They don't see what she sees, and to a point don't hear what she hears.
