So, I wonder where this is going. A bit more world-building in re succubi seems obvious, since this would be a 'neutral' party instead of Dabbler.

Not sure why Dave put an explicitly teenaged character in a night club, but I am excited to see what secrets and exposition this conversation reveals.

I mean teenagers sneaking into night clubs isn't exactly unusual.
And it's not like she's drinking alohol*.

Besides, Sidney is the last to ask that question.
She looks like she's about twelve.
Well, maybe a bit older whithout the pink hair.

*Even then she doesn't look that young.
But that depends on local standards I guess.

I thought succubi weren't shapeshifters, but rather illusionists? And that, being behind the veil, she wouldn't actually need to be using those powers on Sydney?

    Per Dabbler's bio

She identifies as a succubus but enjoys some of the attributes from her other parents. Though she lacks the ability to shapeshift, she inherited the psionic abilities of her doppleganger parent, her intelligence and incredible mathematical abilities come from her father, whom she has never met.
It seems that succubi just use illusions. I think there is an early page about that as well.

Would be interesting to see Dabbler's presumptions challenged by a succubus who isn't into behaving like Dabbler.

We kind of already met one? Decolette, remember?

Tamatha is more a succubus who acts like a human, so she's... not the best example of how succubi act, really.

Yeah but decolette is really different than tamantha as she is the calm cool collected highly educated "ladylike" succubus. This one is a young succubus still working on figuring out the rules here on earth.

Sounds more like she's still figuring out the whole "not human" thing.
I wonder how that worked though.
Did she just wake up one day and had wings and stuff?
And how long did it take her to notice?*
(Okay, not what happened, but at least the Council stuff is new to her.)Also, I can't read.

    Also, her mentor found her?
So no demonic parents** or hell school** for her?

I mean, it really sounds as if she didn't grow up within the supernatural community.

*I'm imagining her coming home from school, work or whatever and freaking out because she was running around with a tail and wings.
    Probably not what happened though.

The challenge to Dabbler or Decolette will be to let Tamantha BE Tamantha -- they both have their own ideas of what a succubus is "supposed" to be like.

    Her name is Tamatha.

    Ta. Ma. Þa.

There is no 'n' in her name. I mean, yes, I know it's a weird name, but come on. It's written right there.

As she's a Patreon cameo, she'll likely be gone, never to return, by the end of the month. She's not going to have time to meet the others.

It's also a typo, not thinking someone has a different name. My other finger keeps catching the "n" below the "h" when typing that "th".

So, Ron Stoppable, Johnny Test, Ben 10 and I can't think of the name of the kid from Star.

And I hope Sydney runs into Red Riot in his hero outfit at some point. Although a drool bucket would be needed.

So, basically succubi (and incubi?) are typical teenagers.
The difference being they never leave that phase.
    ...
    Wait. Neither do humans.
So, the only difference is they can eat that way I guess?

Also, young Sydney looks like she's about seven.

Cause she acts like one, yeah.
But this is the first time I actually think she should be in school*, not working as a hero. Or at all.
    Well, maybe some Wards equivalent...
Probably cause she questioned Tamatha being in the bar.

She can't be that young, since 300 was only out a decade ago.

edit, also, I think we now know where her thing for "guys with abs" stems from.

I'm pretty sure Xuriel explained most of this before.
    Even to Sydney I think.

Also, all (adult*) succubi so far have exactly one body-type and style of outfit.
No wonder they need mindcontrol to get their prey.

She explained how they get their tantric energy as adults, not so much on how they get it as underaged kids. Which is honestly a reasonable question that sydney likely didnt even consider until she saw this young succubus and started to wonder.

    Yeah.. nope.. just nope.
That bodystyle/outfit is pretty much a guarantee for being certain to be able to catch as much as they would ever want to.

Why do you think that? She has just been talking about how easily distracted she get around boys.
Seemingly the issue is just that as an adolescent she is a bit beneath the age limit for getting the energy the normal way.

Not everyone is attracted to the voluptuous look. But yeah, enough are that its hardly going to take an effort to get the attention you want as a succubus. And the only mind control they have is a weapon, not a tool for getting some on the side. Aside from that they can look like your specific idealized lady as a party trick, scramble your wits post coitus so you are still capable of enjoying sex with others and a slight hypnotic effect on already distracting body parts for those who like to stare.

She also seems to be in early puberty, and I remember noticing girls before I was really interested in dating them. Plus, even if it turns out she is somehow an asexual sex demon, there are plenty of other methods of getting the energy needed without boinking. Also, anyone else notice the meme couple in the male gazer beam panel of sydney and the gang?
