Only in passing, the enemy is theoretically an easier shag so I've focused my attention on them.

Unfortunately it turns out that most of them have taste, as do most people. Can't even get my friends to introduce me to potential partners. It just also happens to be incredibly annoying when almost all your friends have relationships and you can't find anybody.

But anyway, are you denying that the American remakes of those works exist?

Permission from the council at the very least. There's always a council involved, according to all the books and shows I've seen.

I've been listening to the original versions of the songs from The Lorax, and wow there's actually some good rather biting satire that didn't make it into the final versions. I'm not going to go further into it, but it could have been a good film if they'd kept that bite instead of ironing it out.

In other news, my research into Nekomancy has hit a few snags, starting with my friend saying I can no longer experiment on her cat. Guess I'll have to brave the danger of more aggressive housecats, here's to hoping I make my stabalisation roll!

Thanks, doing my best. And truthfully I hate missing work since until September, me and my aunt are the only people even really working up here. That puts so much pressure on her.

I'm gonna buy her lunch tomorrow though so it's all good.

The good news is I'm feeling more alive now. I really absolutely have to avoid diet pepsi though jesus it gives me terrible stomach aches on top of everything, and my poor little baby stomach is fragile enough as it is.

Oh, yeah, missing work even at a well-staffed place is a horrid feeling. I sure know it (but... working at food establishments, uh, you're literally not allowed to go if you're the least bit sick, so... I had no choice there). I thought that you were meaning it was one of your usual days off, so you weren't inconveniencing people unexpectedly.

Diet Pepsi isn't the best option for stomach aches. Have you diet ginger ale or regular ginger ale?

Ginger ale or ginger beer? Because the former to me is an ale (i.e. an alcoholic drink) flavoured with ginger. It doesn't tend to come in a diet version.

In the US, "ginger ale" is a ginger-flavored carbonated soft-drink, whereas "ginger beer" is sometimes the same thing or sometimes a mildly-alcoholic variant on it.

Actually it does come in a diet version. Where I could from there's a diet version of Ginger Ale in the US.

"ginger beer" generally has a stronger ginger flavor, in my experience.

Their point is that there generally aren't 'diet' versioms of alcoholic drinks, so if the Ginger ale everyonecwas talking about is in fact an alcoholic drink (it's not, it's just a soda), then he's surprised there's a 'diet' version.
