Malak flies 30' to the northwest and lets loose with an freezing blast right in the center of the four enemies to the west.

MA: Fly 30' NW as stated. This should just give me a clear line to the northernmost of the two beasties to the far west.
SwA: Drop the E out of the scythe.
SA: Spend 2 E-burn to fire an explosive planar detonation [cold] and target as above, but 15' radius should cover both of the beasties and two of the shaitan.
* RTA (1d20+8)[23], damage (9d6+4)[36]. Because it is explosive, even if I miss the target, it is important to note where the blast lands (grenade rules?)

Note that 2 E-burn was spent, not 1 ... 1 for explosive, and 1 for increased damage.

EDIT: +1 damage since I never updated the damage chart for higher CHA. Also, the creature struck gets no save, but anyone in the 15' radius explosion of cold gets a DC 19 Ref save for half damage.

Seeing a cluster of 3 Shaitan including the leader, Rowan steps closer a bit before focusing on his magic. An unstable rift appears near the Shaitan to the East of Goma and spurts out dangerous flaming energies through Oberhak and the other Shaitan Northwest of Oberhak.

FRA: Gather Energy to save a Spellpoint when Powering up Energy Rift. 20ft line should catch Obherak and the two Shaitan next to him in the blast.

Damage: (13d8+5)[62] Fire damage. Reflex DC 19 for half. Overcomes a bunch of Fire Resist and immunity as normal.

Catching Oberhak rising from the ground out of the corner of his eye, Alssariq whirls. Light-footed, he dances past Akaash and between Oberhak and the other shaitan to clear some space, then tries to stab Oberhak in the leg.

Again, ignoring 4 DR, the thing takes a -2 to its AC, and Alssariq gets a +2 to his.

The party was able to rally quite well. Rowan's gout of fire slammed the shaitan, and Akaash's blast of air knocked Ohberk over 'Zad and into the pit below. 'Riq was able to use that opening to finish off the shaitan in the corner, as Malak's bombing run blasted them as well. 'Zad took a step back and put up another wall, leaving only one shaitan within striking distance. Goma savages it, but can't bring it to the ground.

When Obherk went over the side, that triggered something in the stone guardians, who began to witch irregularly. They lashed out at the nearest thing, which just so happened to be one of the shaitan. Those who make a DC 20 K:Arcana check realize that the guardians must have been tied to Obherk, and with him (presumably) dead, they must have gone haywire; they'll fall apart after a few seconds, attacking anything close in the mean time. The shaitan attacked the wall, though it held in the mean time. The remaining shaitan went after Goma, but he kept his shield up and was fine.

As for the newly arrived proteans, you heard a familiar voice chuckle. "Not quite" Lahapraset says in Protean, as she moves up and blasts the remaining foes with chaotic energy. Meanwhile, her entourage moves into position.

The remaining shaitan soon fell under the combined might of the party and their allies. Afterward, ALhapraset rusines the form of the elvish woman you first met her as. "Thank you for your help. We cannot remain outside the Isle of Not for long, but but once you have finished your endeavors here, visit us there. We will then send you home. Don't-" And with that, she and the other proteans flashed out of existence, their time outside the Isle having ended.

You decide to search the chamber for treasure, though you had to use your wand of stone shape pretty much to the limit to open all the doors. You find:

* 4 sets of crafting tools, each worth ~50 gp.
* ~3,000 gp of miscellaneous masterwork arms and armor.
* bracers of armor
* flaming burst falchion
* ring of the ram (22 charges)
* 1,500 gp of various mundane tchotchkes and jewelry
* a block of incense of meditation
* a pair of slippers of spider climbing
* an onyx dog figurine of power.

With the shaitan now dealt with, you are free to head to the Isle of Not and escape Kakishon. Is there anything else you want to do before then?

"I'm all for the element of surprise, but I'd prefer to be on the other side of it." Goma lets his shoulders slump.

"Any idea what she was about to say before she vanished? It seemed important."

Responding to Akaash, Rowan says ”Yes please if you are offering healing. I kept myself from being in critical condition but my organs still feel out of place.”

Turning to Goma he says, ”I am sure she was asking us not to drag our feet. I’m sure the Proteans are itching to tear this plane a new one.”

Malak smiles. "Please forgive me, everyone. We knew that Obherak would never give up his crumbling rule. But I didn't want us as a group getting into a binary attack/ don't attack, and then wasting resources trying to break in. Better that we were invited into his fane. But let's gather up what we can and leave, shall we?"

Goma's fur settles a bit. "I figured it might go this way, but maybe we need a code word. Either way this stuff is coming with us." He says the last part with a smile as he starts hauling the loot for the others. He keeps an eye out for anything pretty Lark might like.

Eyeing the pile of treasure they'd gathered, Alssariq gives a toothsome grin as he does math in his head. "We may just walk out of here with a profit. It's almost a shame to be leaving so abruptly - I can only image what other treasures an archwizard may have strewn around here, but it'd be better to take and leave than to stay and potentially be trapped."

As for the deception, Alssariq just shrugs his shoulders having taken no offense. "Deals go bad, it is the way of the world. Easier to slide the knife when you are already sitting across the table."

Malak will call forth Oddity, and ask Oddity to help the group carrry the loot.

Traversing back up the double ziggurat was tricky, but you eventually got your loot and selves back to the barge. It's another several hour trip back to the endless waterfall, but now that you knew it was coming, you were better prepared and got to the bottom with only a modicum of fuss.

Lahapraset was there to greet you, once again in her elven form. "Ah, you have finally returned. You have done us a great service, and now we are prepared to repay you in kind." She leads you into a nook of the cave that has a large pool of glowing blue liquid. Those of you with a scholarly bend recognize the liquid as a pool of entropy; a physical embodiment of anarchic energy. It can only exist in extremely chaotically attuned places, and chaotically aligned outsider can infuse more chaos into it for various effects.

Lahapraset goes on to explain that all that is required is for you to step into the pool and for them to concentrate for a few seconds, This process essentially 'breaks the rules' of the demiplane that keep you inside it and ejects you to the Scroll of Kakishon's location.

Do you take her up on her offer and step into the pool??

<"Until we meet again, Lahapraset,"> says Malak in Protean, a language which before coming to Kakishon he never realized he knew. <"In coming to this place you helped create, I have changed, and hopefully for the better.">

He then steps into the pool.

Akaash takes one last look at the curious demiplane, wistful for what may have been had they been able to save it, then says his thanks and steps into the pool.

Goma eyes the pool cautiously, not quite exicted about jumping into something antithetical to his lawful nature. After the others step into it though, he sighs and resolves to follow.

"Good luck with your home. I'd help you with it, but I have somewhere to be and duty calls." he says with a bow to Lahapraset. With that said he steps in after the others.

Alssariq spends most of the trip alternately cursing that an artifact made by one of the greatest archmages to have ever lived was about to be destroyed and worrying about the state of his various affairs up on the surface. He'd count them lucky if they didn't emerge into a massive flaming crater. So, when he bid his farewells and stepped into the pool, it was with one hand on his sword.

Lahapraset smiles at you and one by one you feel yourself being pulled through the void, back the way you came from, a reverse of the sensation that brought you here. It only last a moment that paradoxically feels like an eternity, and you find yourself somewhere else. Your quest to leave the demiplane of Kakishon is now over.

Where do you find yourself now? Ah, that's a different story.
