"remember, you really want to Not get hit. and to that extent" Mix pulled out a bundle of chopsticks from her pocket, "we're spending the rest of the time dodging these"
Mix spent the rest of the hour throwing chopsticks at her pokemon to varying degrees of success.

Stein shakes his head a bit with a calm expression on his face, he makes his way across the court to Danetta and holds out a hand. ”Thank you for the match and the learning experience. I think you would have been my toughest opponent by far. I would actually love to sit down and chat with you about our teams at some point if you wouldn’t mind.”

Stein will watch the remaining matches unless he is allowed to run his roster immediately to the infirmary.

Skyes eyes gleam as Vera outlines the plan for the day. This was exactly what she was looking for when she joined the team. Some intense training!

She runs her team through their normal drill with great enthusiasm then takes her place across from Mix. She frowns at the sight of the fairy. This was going to be a difficult battle.

"Thorne," she says as she releases the Cranidos, "Just try to do as much damage as you can."

The draconic dinosaur snorts and paws at the ground with one foot. She charges forward, only to be thrown to the ground by the force of the Mimikyu's shadow hand. The Cranidos struggles back to her feet and headbutts the small fairy.

Stein takes a set beside Danetta and Shenzi. "That is true, I'll just need some diversity like our coach said. Maybe a bug, since Fighting types are a bit, brutish for my taste. Dark types have a certain allure to them for the stealth and style they have." Stein looks at Shenzi. "Viciously adorable I'd have to say." Stein says chuckling at the hound's antics.

"Hunting huh? Never actually had a time to attempt it. Always tried to learn more about the world and how to better our understanding of it. Figured Ghosts would be the answer or at least the best assist to it."

"I'd argue hunting is a great way to learn about the world. It's pretty easy to figure out how the world works when the world is forcing you to play by its rules. Besides! It's an excellent way to get to know who you're working with. For instance, Shenzi here is dopey, but, when there's food involved, she very quickly becomes very attentive."

At the mention of food, her ears perk up and she looks at Danetta with a determined expression. "No, not now, you just ate before we got here, dont give me that face."

Stein ponders for a moment. Then he snaps back to reality. ”I hadn’t even considered the use of a Fairy types resistances. And that would come in handy for our draconian friend over there as well. Or at least any like her. Thank you Danetta, I think this is the beginning of a fantastic friendship.” Stein gives a toothy grin.

He smiles again at Shenzi’s antics. ”The practical applications of the world’s natural laws does seem far more intriguing. If possible I’d like to try to join in at some point. Hopefully I wouldn’t be a burden.” He listens intently as Danetta continues explaining and as Shenzi perks up to the mention of food.

”Seems that Gill and Shenzi have that love of food in common!”

As Rime knocks out from the damage Endurance charges from out of his pokeball, tackling Spheal with full force into the ice block dealing 22 Normal Physical Damage, 5 bonus damage, and an additional tick from the contact of the impact against the Ice!

Seeing the Mimikyu falling back, Thorne headbutts the Pokemon one last time before she falls to the talons of the ghost. Skylar returns her and sends out her next Pokemon, the formerly sleepy Cinder. The Charmander is now focused and hisses at her opponent before spitting a ball of flame at Tostitos.
