Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1. Vogie's way of the Gemini: using mirror image(which is a superneat spell) as the base for a speedster subclass is just brilliant. And getting the option to swap places with the copies is brilliant, I mean, technically all of them are you?
2. BerzerkerUnit's Legendary Dragoon: By the power of greyskull! No but seriously, this is a power fantasy for barbarians. I would love having something that transforms/rages with you. Boo will no longer need to be a miniature giant space hamster!
3. RickAsWritten's Bladecloak: slightly more magical than I would have done it. Otherwise a really neat subclass!

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1. RickAsWritten's Bladecloak. WHO NEEDS FRIENDS WHEN YOU HAVE KNIVES!?
2. SleeplessWriter's Shadow Knight Simple, no-frills summon subclass. Does the shadow theme right, no messing around with random dogs or undead revives or nothing.
3. Vogie's Way of Gemini, I guess. It's Mislead as a subclass.
Next Theme Vote: My Way is Different. As you may be able to tell from my off-the-wall chain reaction chaos slimelock, I like doing things in odd ways.
Edit: second choice for theme is The Pen is Mightier. I actually have a really good idea for this.Last edited by Phhase; 2019-09-03 at 08:09 PM.
Sometimes, I have strong opinions on seemingly inconsequential matters.

Subclass Voting
- Roguish Archetype – Bladecloak - RickAsWritten - The image of the shadowy figure pulling daggers out, throwing them and duel wielding them is a really strong image and one that is really lacking in the 5e world right now. It's a good implementation of the class and good flavour.
- Barbarian Path: Legendary Dragoon - BerzerkerUnit - Clean and looks playable from the get go. I don't see a lot that would need adjusting after playtesting. The flavour is fun, and I want to be able to channel my inner Adam (He-man)!
- Warlock Otherworldy Patron: Teratomarakh, Anarch Core - Phhase -I love the flavour of this and the imagery. Summons and wielding blobs of chaos is incredibly fun. Plus its a little off the wall and I really like that.
Next Contest Voting
- The band - This is number 1 since I have an idea running through my head and it sounds fun to make

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1. Druid: Circle of the Pocket Monster- Awesome theme and solid execution.
2. Monk Archetype: Way of the Gemini- Fits well as a monk-type character. Would be fun to play.
3. Barbarian Path: Legendary Dragoon- Pocket monsters and giant animals. This was a fun contest.
Next Contest Theme:
1. Points for Everybody
2. Keep it Simple, Stupid

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
Contest Votes
1. Rogue: Bladecloak - It may not be a straight summoner, but being able to become a whirlwind of living knives at high levels just sounds fun.
2. Monk Tradition: Way of the Gemini - Mechanically and flavorfully a lot of fun. It also wouldn't be too hard to flavor it as the duplicates being projections of your astral self. Jut a lot of ways to play with this.
3. Paladin: Oath of the Diabolist - I like the roleplay potential of this dude. This knight in shining armor comes with a couple of devils on his shoulders... "The angel... doesn't work here anymore." http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0435.html
Theme Votes
1. Points for everyone - I admit, I'm a sucker for monks, battlemasters, and the like (I'm ambivalent on sorcerers because of how easy they are to abuse in a multiclass, especially coffeelock derivatives).
2. The Band - There are so many ridiculous and fun ways this could go. At least half the fun of this one will be watching whatever wild ideas other people will come up with. I'm currently unsure whether I'd do a heavy metal barbarian that uses intimidation in place of performance, a DJ wizard decked out in starry robes, pointy hat, and oversized headphones, or maybe an entirely different idea."Now get on your flying boat and stop a crazy dwarf vampire from committing election fraud!"

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1. Hive Conclave- I thought this was a cool idea from the outset and it's fun to think of a character that could be like Oogie Boogie.
2. Way of the Gemini- I love speedsters and the mirror image spell.
3. Circle of Pocket Monster- Yes, I gotta catch'em all. This would have been my top pick but I didn't fall in love with the mechanics.
Honorable Mention: Bladecloak. Very unique take on the theme.
Next theme:
1st) Points for Everybody
2nd) Keep it Simple, Stupid (you may have noticed some of my stuff is overdesigned to insure it does exactly what I want with little room for DM interpretation)Last edited by BerzerkerUnit; 2019-09-03 at 10:02 PM.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1) Bladecloak. Good game mechanics and a very imaginative take on the summoner theme.
2) Tie, College of Fables
3) and Lineage Sorcerer. Also creative takes on the summoner, but I just liked the Bladecloak's game mechanics a touch better.
Shout-out to the Shadow Knight, which was close enough to mine that I could have voted for it and pretend I wasn't voting for myself :D
Next contest?
1) Points
2) Simple

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
1. Lineage Sorcerer. I'm a sucker for ancestral spirits, and this one manages not to be bloated or vague, which is a challenge.
2. Pocket Monster Druid. Nostalgia points, mostly, but I also think that giving druids something to do with Wild Shape besides Wild Shape is a great idea.
3. Bladecloak Rogue. Unique take on the summoning theme, and it was really well put together. Definitely would try.
1. Points for Everybody!. I kinda want to try a ki point wizard, to be honest.
2. The Pen is Mightier. Not sure what I'd do here but I feel like there's a vast canvas to explore (pun intended).Currently operating the 5e Subclass Contest and the 5e Base Class Contest. Check them out if even just to vote or give feedback, we love that in there.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest X Voting Thread
Votes are tallied, and we have our winners!
In 3rd place, we have a tie between nickl_2000's Circle of the Pocket Monster and MoleMage's Hive Conclave both with 6 points! If you want to capture beasts and fey, or think what your archer really needs is a beehive grenade, we've got you covered.
In 2nd place, with 13 points, is Vogie's Way of the Gemini! For when one monk just isn't enough, make yourself a speed clone simulacrum.
And our winner with 16 points, RickAsWritten's Bladecloak Rogue! Throw some knives, then some more knives, and then yet more knives, and when you think you've thrown as many knives as you can, throw even more knives!
Thanks as always to everyone who entered! We had a lot of good entries this month it was fun to read.
Our next contest, with 11 points in voting will be Points For Everybody! Get your spell points, your ki points, your sorcery points, or make up entirely new points! Our runner-up for theme was Keep It Simple, Stupid so it will be automatically included in the next voting pool.Currently operating the 5e Subclass Contest and the 5e Base Class Contest. Check them out if even just to vote or give feedback, we love that in there.
