    Level 10 Arena

    Wave 2: Round 1

As both Desira and Chauncer step out from beyond the Hall of Arrows a great dark expanse opens before them. Almost sensing their presence a number of torches all along the perimeter begin shedding light, enough to push the entire room into sight, even for Chauncer's poor old eyes.

The room appears to be a foggy pit, an easy 10' drop filled with platforms and stairs that reach their level. On the far ends of the rooms are ledges, easily twice as high as the platforms, overlooking the room.

But what is most concerning are the four shambling remnants of people, stirring and staring hungrily towards the living creatures that dared enter their domain. Two are on the outskirts and have bows held in their skeletal hands with the remnants of leather armor on their bodies and short blades in sheaths on their hips. Two others are standing on the pillars in the center of the rooms, warriors by their equipment, each wearing the remnants of heavier studded leather with a shield. The first carries a broadsword, the other a mace.

The first archer kept mechanically slinging arrows at Chauncer's shield of force... and one of the arrows nearly found its mark...

The second warrior forgoes its shield and presses Chauncer with its mace... forcing Chauncer to block the attack on his shield, shattering it in force...

Reeling form having its shield shattered, the warrior continued its with a mindless dedication... pressing Desira to her limits fut failing to find blood...

With one warrior out of the way, Chaucer turns his attention to getting the hail of arrows to cease. He moves through the fog towards the unharmed archer, using his magic to yank it down.

Chauncer reaches out and grabs hold of the skeleton, barely tugging it down off the ledge... but somehow the skeleton manages to tumble and ends back up on its feet...

Desira lands a horrid blow on the skeleton, shattering bones, but it still stands... as her followup attacks fail to end it...

When the archer advances on him, Chaucer doubles back, moving clear of the creature to return his attention to the already-wounded archer.

Desira cries out sharply in pain as the skeleton's attack bites farther in than she expected, and she can feel her anger mounting. "Stop it!" she demands, swinging once again at the undead fiend. Once it falls, she turns her attention to the archer that is within her reach now, thanks to Chaucer, and rushes over to destroy it.

Desira rushes forward to kill the final skeleton, so Chaucer holds his hand in attacking. After all, he's an old man, and doesn't want to expend too much energy when the Lioness seems to have it under control.

The final skeleton, having lived far too long, attempts more feeble strikes at the Lioness... but poses little risk to her in its current damaged form.
