Need help finding a creature
Trying to find a creature that I once saw, it's a jet black aberration with 3 eyeless mouths, I remember reading about it and thinking "that's going to be great in my next game" but unfortunately I can't find it again, any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure it was a creature from 4th edition d&d or 3.5/pathfinder.

Re: Need help finding a creature
Well, since I didn't have it open already, it's not in Monster Manual 3 for D&D 3.5.

Re: Need help finding a creature
We're not talking about a displacer beast, are we? Those spikes on its tentacles look a bit like mouths in some versions.

Re: Need help finding a creature
It looked vaguely ooze-like hovering in the air with three seperate mouths protruding from a central mass. The head/mouths were smooth oval shaped like the xenomorphs from Alien.

Re: Need help finding a creature
Sounds like the sharn.
Like most monsters in D&D it's from well before 3.x.Last edited by BWR; 2019-09-20 at 10:04 AM.

Re: Need help finding a creature
The Overseer from Lords of Madness is also black and also has three mouths:

Spoiler: Overseer
Like the Sharn - its eyes are not close to each mouth. The Sharn's eyes are in the palm of each hand, the Overseer's eyes are on stalks way above the mouths.
The above description
does fit the Sharn a bit better than the Overseer though.Last edited by hamishspence; 2019-09-29 at 03:37 PM.
