And the blind guy. He was rather clearly still taking levels in Jedi, even though he chose to use a simple weapon instead of a lightsaber, taking martial arts feats instead of force training. He just used the skill applications (especially Search Your Feelings) instead of force powers

Chirrut may or may not be Force sensitive, but he's not a Jedi. I agree that another class with some Force ability would suit him better.

Remember that having levels in the Jedi class doesn't actually make you a Jedi in the story. It gives you access to talents and bonus feats that belong to the class.
You can just as easily play an off brand force user with the levels (or belong to any of the alternative Force Traditions, taking Jedi Class levels and choosing talents from your chosen Force Tradition).
My point is that basically his whole Combat form is based around relying on the Force to guide his actions, as if he were a Jedi in all ways but in name.

Re: Star Wars Saga Edition: Rogue One as a party
Even without the reprogramming, a "heroic" KX-series security droid would probably develop Soldier levels over anything else, with slicer-focused Scoundrel or investigation-focused Scout levels as secondary options. (A non-player KX-series droid would probably just be a copy-paste of a B2 super battle droid, though)
