    Aha! There we go.
And we've never needed to do that until now? We've always had enough stockpiled rations?
(The *end* of our turn? Dusk? Or the start of our next turn, barbarians depop at dawn right? The start of their own next turn)

Let's make an announcement to all units at Dawn, do no one is surprised.

As Dawn breaks Erfman orders all to wake and join him in the garrison. "Bask in the light of yet a new day! Behind the strength of these new defenses!" Erfman bellows to all arms up looking around at the enhanced Garrison
"We did good yesterturn! We struck a mighty blow to our enemy, and grew stronger in the process!" Growls Erfman closing his newly leveled fist

"Today we expand our breakfast sessions to all. We now have a veritable endless source of upkeep around our walls. All long as that is true, we shall all hold and wait for the turn to begin, for our scouts to do their rounds, and for the fruit collection to be brought to us. Only then we shall all sit together, and listen to the scout reports while we enjoy our food for the turn." Erfman nods as he finishes and then orders the scouts and conscious infantry to bring out tables and chairs out onto the Garrison enough for all

Could we pay thier upkeep in the middle of the turn with shmuckers or does it have to be rations

Popped rations pop at the beginning of the turn, if you don’t pay for them then they do not pop at all so yes any unpaid upkeep would have to be paid with rations.

Please confirm if upkeep is being withheld from ALL units?

In canon there was mention of delayed popping of morning rations, and of popping of evening rations.

    Nevertheless

18 fruits pop at dawn in Capital. We have 2 in Larder.
20 highest upkeep units (Dotti included) eat fruits
    Stingers eat meat rations
Scouts in the field already with fruits eat fruits
Pay for rations for everyone else

Erfman nods as he finishes and then orders the scouts and conscious infantry to bring out tables and chairs out onto the Garrison enough for all.

The entire garrison pours in to the great hall and sit down as instructed bar for the couple of scouts who remain in the city who instead make a circuit of the city itself and collect up the newly popped berries that have popped throughout the city. The scouts eventually enter the great hall itself and begin to pass out the berries to the waiting units.

[Have you sent me scouting routes for all the scouts so I can provide scout reports?]

Fanon’s turn does not begin at dawn so they find they are sitting in the great hall for quite a while before Fanon’s turn eventually begins and the few units that did not get a berry have rations pop infront of them.

    Current Magic Items
    Spoiler
    Show

    Craftman's +1 Hammer

As well as being made to be surprisingly strong despite the simple materials that it is made from and it's simplistic appearance, the hammer can also be used as a focus for Dollamancy powers. In the hands of the Dollamancer it allows him to create items and golems more efficiently (25% less resources required) as well as allowing him to create more advanced and complex creations.

Dollamantic focus - Dollamancy spells cast through the hammer function at level +1

+1 Animated Gobwin axe - Through the miracles of Dollamancy this weapon has been granted a small degree of independent motion. The weapon now has two modes that can be activated upon command. Attack and Defend.

Attack - the weapon will fly straight towards the wielder's target and attempt to deal damage before returning to the wielder's hand. (This counts as a ranged attack and uses the wielders combat score)

Defend - the weapon will fly straight towards a designated unit and intercept attacks increasing the units defence

Motion Goggles - These Goggles when worn by a Dollamancer allows him to better understand how a Golem should move. This allows the Dollamancer to create more advanced Golems and spend 10% less juice on their creation. They also have the added benefit of doubling the Dollamancer's chance of spotting a hidden or veiled unit

+1 Shockamancy Sword - The weapon can release a blast of shockamancy (this counts as a ranged attack and uses the wielders combat score)

Croakamancy Helm - This helm allows the wearer to see through the eyes of uncroaked and give them orders as if they were in the same hex. It also provides a +1 leadership bonus for commanding uncroaked when the wearer is stacked with them.

    Neat :)

    Map up to date ^_^

Please correct the Upkeep and Treasury to

Treas at beg of last tu: 2028
Gifts - Expend last tu: -1761
Treas at end of last tu: 267
    Income 2000 (3000 managed)

    Treasury 2999

    > 20 highest upkeep units (Dotti included) eat fruits
meant the Prisoner Knight as well, just as we did last turn.

Now I'm ready to start drawing scouting routes ^_^, join me!

EDIT: let's see, our expectation is
    - Places that were planted T15, pop bushes. 4 bushes per hex, 12 fruits per hex
    - Places that have in the map 0/X fruits (had no fruits at start of 16 because it was harvested T15) pop berries

    EDIT2:
    2 bushes planted T15 missing in -02.-01
    1 bush planted T15 missing in -01.-01

What does the brown 4 means?
I thought the brown 22 before was 22 estimated wood remaining in hex

    EDIT3:
    Hm, logistics
    - A single humanoid can carry up to 24 fruits if carrying nothing else.
And a mounted humanoid? We can tie a 24 fruit bag to a Goat while riding and carrying a 24 fruit bag on our backs?
    -. Yes

    EDIT4:
With Minor Fabrication and wool, Erfman imagines making saddle bags to expand a mount's fruit carrying capacity, while still carrying a rider
    - what would be this new greater capacity? 48 just for the mount?

With Minor Fabrication and wool and metal, Erfman imagines making a large backpack (XD
    https://www.google.com/search?q=huge+backpack )
    - what is the estimated fruit carrying capacity?

I thought the brown 22 before was 22 estimated wood remaining in hex
That’s for you to work out.

    Hm, logistics
And a mounted humanoid? We can tie a 24 fruit bag to a Goat while riding and carrying a 24 fruit bag on our backs?
Yes a mount with no special equipment for carrying cargo can carry a 24 fruit bag aswell.

With Minor Fabrication and wool, Erfman imagines making saddle bags to expand a mount's fruit carrying capacity, while still carrying a rider
    - what would be this new greater capacity? 48 just for the mount?
    You estimate you could make the following;

Knitted saddle bags: 2 units of wool. 25 juice.

You believe this will double the mounts carrying capacity while still allowing them to cary a rider. If the mount does not carry a rider they can instead carry two saddle bags instead.

With Minor Fabrication and wool and metal, Erfman imagines making a large backpack (XD
    https://www.google.com/search?q=huge+backpack )
    - what is the estimated fruit carrying capacity?
    You estimate you could make the following;

Knitted reinforced backpack: 1 unit of metal , 2 units of wool. 25 juice.

You believe this will double a units carrying capacity.

    This is a hard problem.

Shall we do this in stages?

Erfman looking at the map orders Scout Warden on this path, orders Scout Gopher to await at the his hex border for the report, repeat the report over our hex border, and asks that a scout go receive the report at hex boundary

    EDIT:
For the second leg, we'll have Scouts mounted on Goats, Scouting, which means they may encounter hostiles.
I think we should remake the Horseshoes of Retreat now, so they can be used by each Goat on their separate runs
    Shall we?
Make Horse shoes of retreat (2 metal from swords, 25J + 100J from tower Juice)
    Agree: WurmD

    EDIT2:
    New standing order:
    - On spotting hostiles in hex about to enter, Scouts don't enter and attempt to go around
    - On encountering hostiles in-hex, Scouts on non-1-move terrain sneak past enemies, on 1-move terrain flee through closest hex boundary
    Yes?

    EDIT3:
While we wait for Horse shoes of retreat, here is another part. Scout Bond as Dark Green, reports to piker as Purple

(Looks like scouting is going to be complicated so I will do this one step at a time)

Erfman looking at the map orders Scout Warden on this path, orders Scout Gopher to await at the his hex border for the report, repeat the report over our hex border, and asks that a scout go receive the report at hex boundary.

After issuing his orders Erfman has some time to wait but eventually a scout runs in to the great hall with a report. ”News from scout Warden your highness.” the scout calls out as he unrolls a rough piece of parchment. ”Scout Warden reports that the messenger bird in Arkum’s mine seems agitated and is likely aware of nearby hostile units...” The scout relays. ”He also reports he was unable to complete his designated route as he spotted a mounted stack of Uncroaked at (02,-03) and decided to go around” the scout finishes before bowing.

While we wait for Horse shoes of retreat, here is another part. Scout Bond as Dark Green, reports to piker as Purple
Erfman then sends a piker out of the great hall to rendezvous with one of the scouts. He is gone for some time before returning with a bag full of fruit. ”Scout Bond reports all is quiet” the piker reports before handing off the fruit to be taken to the larder and retaking his seat.

I'm good with the horseshoes. We really could use them, especially if we can just pass them up the chain.

edit, to dotty: "Moneymancers can turn items into shmuckers, with liquidate-can they do the inverse as well? If so: Do they require a copy of the item to create a new copy, or do they just need one from memory? Can them make scrolls? If the latter is true, how much does it cost for a scroll, assuming it's a 50 juice spell? Can they make items that they've been told about but never see, through the power of moneymancy intersecting with signamancy, possible at increased cost, to then have a template to make more?"

K, then Erfman marches up to the tower, and
Makes Horse shoes of retreat (2 metal from swords, 25J + 100J from tower Juice)

EDIT: On his way there, he's struck by a thought, and marches quickly to The Luggage, and wakes her up with 60J. "(Keep my prisoners contained, faithful companion)" he murmurs

    EDIT2:
    Bond continues

And Scout F makes his best to uproot and replant that bush on our side of the river. The key order being "no bush must remain on the far side of the river"

    EDIT3:
    Scout F continues

    EDIT4:
Rex goes on 2 trips collect 48 fruits
Rex goes on 1 trip collect 24 fruits
Bullseye goes on another trip collect 24 fruits

    EDIT5:
    And then the big one
Lots of deseeding take place, and Lizer takes a sackful of seeds,
puts a saddle and the horseshoes on Pan
Climbs into Luggage. and she takes them 1 hex out, where they collect 9 fruits into Luggage
and collects a sackful of fruits in the way out
and plants, and plants, and plants.. :D
Then he gives the saddle and the horseshoes to Scout Suresh,
and goes plant some more :)
and waits for Suresh's return mid route
Suresh takes the Goat, and goes scout out Fanart, taking lots of time searching for any living unit visible from the hex boundary.
When he spots a unit, he's to wait a long time for it to move, as to disprove the city if frozen.
"If need be, have him wave from the hex boundary, catch the units attention to prompt movement" instructs Erfman to Scout Lizer
Then he returns, opening the map a bit
leaves a fruit with Goat for tomorrow
and returns with the Saddle and the Horseshoes
Lizer returns with the items and the report, takes Scout F's report in the way back, and collects a bit more on the way back

    EDIT6:
Given that those hexes are free from hostiles
Pierce goes collect the last 48 fruits

Glad one facet is focused on the scouting runs for us ( thank you wurm) Im kind of against horse shoes however since im staying out of the scouting I will give it a plus one. However maybe send a knit bird to check out the mine. Also maybe we should save the goats move. We might have to use them to check out the mine. Or use the for the force of mounted uncroak

I have to agree on the mine. if it's a wurm or something the bird can easily get out of dodge, and I'd really like to know what's there. if it's moved on on it's own we can get some units over there soon.

    Pause Rex 8move order
    Pause Goat move order

New Standing order for today: Everyone should reserve 1 Move

That way we can take everyone with Luggage next to knights, and everyone only needs spend 1 Move to attack them

    K, edited the big one:

And Rex no longer does 2 legs.
He only does 1 leg of 4 move and 24 fruits
and then Bullseye does the other 4 move and 24 fruits leg

EDIT: Bird at Capital flies to mine (5 move)
As he gets there, Bird at mine flies to Erfman and reports (4 move)

EDIT2: "Fert, please ask clarification of Gopher and Warden, was it 4 uncroaked mounts, or 8, and did he note the mounted unit's weapons?" asks Erfman

EDIT3: Actually, since Warden saved 1 move by going around knigths, order him 1 hex down

With his decision to make Horse shoes of retreat made Erfman gets up and leaves the great hall and begins to head towards the tower however on the way he suddenly remembers The Luggage Golem and stood by to charge it. "(Keep my prisoners contained, faithful companion)" he murmurs as the luggage activated.

    [60 juice used]

Erfman then continues up the tower until he reaches his workshop. Once there he has a unit bring him a pair of swords. Erfman then goes to draw some juice from the tower only to realise it is now completely dry (Dotti having drained it during the upgrade) so is instead forced to use his own juice. With an application of some of that juice he is able to reshape the swords in to a set of goat shoes. The hard part then begins as Erfman begins to enchant the shoes. After sometime however he sits back with a satisfied smile.

[125 juice used] [Goat shoes of retreat obtained]

    Bond continues

And Scout F makes his best to uproot and replant that bush on our side of the river. The key order being "no bush must remain on the far side of the river"

    Scout F continues
Erfman then returns to the great hall where the majority of his units seem to be relaxing having now finished their breakfasts. Once there Erfman mentally sends out his next set of orders for the scouts.

Rex goes on 1 trip collect 24 fruits
Bullseye goes on another trip collect 24 fruits
Selecting two units from the room Erfman then sends them out to harvest fruit from the nearby hexes. They are gone for a while but both eventually return with a bag full of fruit each which they deposit in the larder.

    [39 fruit obtained]

    And then the big one
Lots of deseeding take place, and Lizer takes a sackful of seeds,
puts a saddle and the horseshoes on Pan
Climbs into Luggage. and she takes them 1 hex out, where they collect 9 fruits into Luggage

and returns with the Saddle and the Horseshoes
Lizer returns with the items and the report, takes Scout F's report in the way back, and collects a bit more on the way back
Erfman then sends out Scout Lizer with The Luggage and Pan the riding goat. They are gone for the longest time yet but Lizer eventually returns with a bag of fruit. ”Reports from the field Sire” She then declares. ”Scout F reports that there is a scout from the side of Imperia in (-04,02) they wish to meet with a representative of the side. They also report that there is a stack of deer in (-03,00). Scout Suresh reports that the city of Fanart is indeed occupied he spotted a number of units behind a low mud wall and they shouted threats and units as he approached. I have a copy of his full written report. I also personally spotted Spidews in hex (-02,-03) but I could not be sure of the numbers...” Lizer finishes.

    [23 fruit obtained]

Bird at Capital flies to mine (5 move)
As he gets there, Bird at mine flies to Erfman and reports (4 move)
Erfman then orders the two messenger birds to switch out and after a while one of the knitted messenger birds flies in and lands on the table.

"Fert, please ask clarification of Gopher and Warden, was it 4 uncroaked mounts, or 8, and did he note the mounted unit's weapons?"
    asks Erfman

”The report says 8 mounted units. Heavily armoured with a variety of weapons both melee and ranged” Fert replies.

Actually, since Warden saved 1 move by going around knigths, order him 1 hex down
Erfman quickly sends out the additional order.

"Uh, Bullseye, Rex? What happened, were there not 4 fruits per bush?"

EDIT: "Ah, there was only 3 Fruits expected on that hex, not 12. Thank you, you did well"

"Also Lizer, there was not 24 fruits in the 3 nearby hexes you scoured?"

EDIT: "Ah, I see, you gave 1 extra fruit to Suresh and that's the one he left with the Goat. That is fine"

    EDIT2:
"Lizer, (as per standing orders) how many trees and estimated wood was there in -02.-01?" Erfman calmly inquires

    EDIT3:
Erfman turns to the little bird "What did you see? Tap it out for us" asks showing the paper with unit types already used in the past for the bird to tap

”The forest hex looked mostly normal. There was perhaps one big tree that had been cut down that had not repopped yet.” Lizer answers.

Erfman turns to the little bird "What did you see? Tap it out for us" Erfman asks showing the paper with unit types already used in the past for the bird to tap.

The bird takes a moment to glance at the paper before shaking its head and instead taps twice on the table.

Erfman frowns in confusion "Lets recap" he looks at his map he once took from Grim's rucksack hidden pocket, with scribbles in the edges of types of units.
"You saw two units correct?" He asks and waits a response
"Heavy or Medium" he says pointing to an Ogwe drawing, and then to a piker drawing.
"Humanoid, Quadruped, or Worm?" he says alternating between a stabber drawing, a goat drawing and the newly drawn worm

Erfman then wets the golem’s beak in ink and instructs it to draw what it has seen. The bird lowers it head and makes a vaguely humanoid smudge. The quality of the drawing is extremely poor and after looking at it no particular units jump to mind.
