PC concept: the Tank
Tank not in the usual RPG meaning but more in the heavly armored and heavly armed land vehicle.
My best guess for such PC would be a warforged light cleric.
Anyone has better ideas?

See if you can get your hands on Descent into Avernus. They've got a section on Mad Max Vehicles.

Re: PC concept: the Tank
Warforged as said.
Perhaps integrated tool: land vehicle = treads/wheels?
Crossbow expert fighter?
Fighter 1/Fiend Warlock X for agonizing/repelling blast and fireball?

Re: PC concept: the Tank
What about Envoy Warforged (integrated land vehicle) Fighter (Defense Style) 1/ Draconic (Brass) Sorcerer X?
Lv 1: Civilian Vehicle
Lv2-14: Tank
Lv 15+: Attack Helicopter
You get all the destructive power of the sorcerer (and resistance to fire if needed), AC between 19-23 without any other bonus, decent HP with base 5 per level after the first.Last edited by Trandir; 2019-10-22 at 11:16 AM.

Re: PC concept: the Tank
Assuming you want to be a Mobile Artillery piece with high armour, I suggest a Lvl 18+ Illusionist Wizard. Pick Silent Image as one of your signature spells. Now you can create a permanent at will 15ft dimension "shell" of adamantine that you can move as an action (with associated animation). Have a barrel that you can see your target in, casting things like Fireballs, Scorching Rays and other explosive like effects.
Edit: I just realised you can't move the tank and have it remain "real" to protect you, so you'll need to dismiss it, move and re summon it around you for the protection benefits. So it's more like a fortified Artillery Position than a true "tank"Last edited by Dualswinger; 2019-10-22 at 01:20 PM.

Re: PC concept: the Tank
The first version of the UA Artificer featured Mechanical Servant which allowed you to create a consruct with the statistics of a cr 2 beast at your complete control.
The kicker is a small unassuming line there which says you can make him look exactly the way you want as long it fits the statistics. So I said to myself, why not make it a hollow construct with a door that your gnome Artificer can ride as a tank and use for total cover and mobility.Last edited by assafelron; 2019-10-23 at 12:06 AM.
