    Remember that any additional starting weapons gain 2 clips of ammo for it. - Major.

    when you get the choice from Starting Talents and such, you do not need the prerequisite for it.

    TALENT PREREQUISITES
    Many Talents granted to characters by their Speciality
    have prerequisites that the character might not meet. For
    Talents granted by their Speciality, characters ignore any
    Talent prerequisites, and gain those Talents regardless.

    Orks, Possibly Eldar, Seccessionists, possibly actual Chaos Heretics, etc. It's in the Spinward front and the primary issues and enemies there are Orks, Seccessionists and Dark Eldar Raiders. Others might appear, but primarily it's The Orks the Severan Dominate and Dark Eldar Raiders that are said to be secretly giving certain levels of support to the Severan Dominate.

    Spelling Error in the regiment name. Should be Paradynian. - Minor.
    What's the asterisks for in your characteristics? - Minor.
    Well Provisioned provides +2 additional weeks of Rations, 2 extra clips of ammo to Primary weapon (if you have more than one that is not designated a sidearm, you can choose which weapon you get the two extra clips for), and +1 extra of each type of grenade that you start with. Specifically only those designated a handgrenades here. - Major.
    If possible could you also add all Regimental Abilities to the Abilities, Traits, etc. spoiler? Yes this means Distrustful will be present twice, but the spot for skill-effects under skills is there so you can note all effects to skills rolls that comes elsewhere than skill training or the characteristics themselves. - Minor.
    Why did you write in a Lascarbine? It's a Bullpup Lasgun. - Major.
    Remember to designate what type of grenade your grenades are. are they for a grenade launcher or handgenades? - Major.

You also don't 'recently arrive to the regiment'. you are part of the regiment at the founding, or you're from another regiment that got fused with a similiar regimental function if both has suffered massive casualties.     You're welcome, im always sorta hesitant when i do them, cuz I've had one person that got argumentive with me over wanting the charactersheet filled out correctly.

    I can promise there won't be attackmoons or spacemarine-esque Orks a la Warhammer 32k.

    all regular guardsmen (medic, Weapon Speciality, Sergeant, Heavy Gunner, etc.) start with 600 Exp. 300 if you're a Support Specialist (Storm Trooper, Tech-Priest, Commissar, etc.). It's also described more in detail on page 100 of the rules.

    I should have fixed most of the above except background. I'm in need of a little guidance.

    What I want is for Daryon to largely join up because of Aeris (matching their demeanors). Aeris's motivations are wholly self serving, whether she thought it would get her close to people of influence or just to get away from a bad situation. Daryon is there to protect Aeris and keep her out of trouble when possible. However, I'm not really sure how to work all that in.

    PARADYNE

    Paradyne is a frontier world located in the far-northern parts of Segmentum Percificus, east of the Laanath Rifts, right on the border to the Segmentum Obscurus. It's a relatively recently-colonized world, having only about a 500-ish years of history, thus only holding about 1000-2000 generations (with each generation being about 25 years). Compared to a lot of other worlds, Paradyne doesn't really hold a lot of flat lands and easy-made Hivecities. The high hills, towering mountains and fertile grooves where the waters of the mountains makes it relatively easy to farm crops and leave isolated grand-size cities.

    The Planet itself was named after the Rogue Trader Arcturia Von Paradyne, who rediscovered the world during the age of Redemption, post-Goge Vandire.
    Currently, Paradyne have had a hard time meeting needed Argicultural tithes to the Imperium, so in order to not get cut off, they have begun within only the last 100 years to muster regiments for the Imperial Guard - with all 3 of the currently-mustered Regiments being Drop Troopers. Why? Because of the skill in skydiving, paragliding and skyhunting.
    The Paradynian 3rd is currently the newest regiment mustered for Imperial Guard duty, and have so far only had two campaigns under their belts. The first one was part of a Rapid-Response peacekeeping Force on a Planet in the Calixis Sector, specifically a non-noteworthy Agri-world that suffered a mild uprising of Feral Orks. The Second one was... Well it was a horrid one. It was part of the initial Imperial Retaliation against the Severan Dominate's Secession. As part of the initial entry into The Periphery. The ship, carrying the Paradynian 3rd, a regiment of Cadian 166th Armoured and a regiment of Syscallian 66th Infantry was attacked by some unknown fleet. The ship was blown apart, with only two-thirds of the Paradynian 3rd managing to get to the escape shuttles and cargo-carriers, etc. This heavy loss have scarred the survivors, and as of yet, no one from High Command have been willing to give an explanation as to who or what had attacked the ship. As for the two other regiments?
    they both got off the ship more or less intact, but the Cadian 166th Armoured are all without any sort of Vehicle, since all their tanks were onboard the ship as it blew apart when it's plasma drives overloaded from damage to it's wards.

    The above is the quickhistory of the planet you're from as well as some quick-info on the Regiment's history up until now.
    Some regiments get re-activated in name and refounded generations later, maybe even 100s of years after. However it's not always a thing and it's mostly something that happens if it's a regiment of high note, a Nobleborn regiment with enough clout to ensure the regiment will remain 'always active' so to speak by refounding under the same name once the current muster of troops has been either wiped out to the man or been mustered out of active duty on some world that was liberated.

    As for the Paradynian regiments, they are very new, comparatively speaking, and the regiment your character will be from are all skilled Paragliders or otherwise had the interest in it (what with the planet being a big amount of hills, mountains, ridges, etc.), so it's in the blood, so to speak, to soar through the skies on that frontier world.
    As for Aeris getting out of a bad situation... easiest thing would be to state anything from her having had a bad run-in with the local town's Mob and the easiest way out would be to flee to the mustering signup for he imperial guard, with the promises of glory, a chance to go offworld, and get trained to slay the foul xenos and heretics out there in the galaxy.
    Or go with something like having ripped up a lesser noble in some deal and the only way out of the situation alive was to sneak off with the Regiment, do the training under a false name, etc.

    He trained people while in the PDF, so presumably was reasonably competent.

The high hills, towering mountains and fertile grooves where the waters of the mountains makes it relatively easy to farm crops and leave isolated grand-size cities.

    The Planet itself was named after the Rogue Trader Arcturia Von Paradyne, who rediscovered the world during the age of Redemption, post-Goge Vandire.
    Currently, Paradyne have had a hard time meeting needed Argicultural tithes to the Imperium, so in order to not get cut off, they have begun within only the last 100 years to muster regiments for the Imperial Guard - with all 3 of the currently-mustered Regiments being Drop Troopers. Why? Because of the skill in skydiving, paragliding and skyhunting.
    The Paradynian 3rd is currently the newest regiment mustered for Imperial Guard duty, and have so far only had two campaigns under their belts. The first one was part of a Rapid-Response peacekeeping Force on a Planet in the Calixis Sector, specifically a non-noteworthy Agri-world that suffered a mild uprising of Feral Orks. The Second one was... Well it was a horrid one. It was part of the initial Imperial Retaliation against the Severan Dominate's Secession. As part of the initial entry into The Periphery. The ship, carrying the Paradynian 3rd, a regiment of Cadian 166th Armoured and a regiment of Syscallian 66th Infantry was attacked by some unknown fleet. The ship was blown apart, with only two-thirds of the Paradynian 3rd managing to get to the escape shuttles and cargo-carriers, etc. This heavy loss have scarred the survivors, and as of yet, no one from High Command have been willing to give an explanation as to who or what had attacked the ship. As for the two other regiments?
    they both got off the ship more or less intact, but the Cadian 166th Armoured are all without any sort of Vehicle, since all their tanks were onboard the ship as it blew apart when it's plasma drives overloaded from damage to it's wards.

    The above is the quickhistory of the planet you're from as well as some quick-info on the Regiment's history up until now.
    Some regiments get re-activated in name and refounded generations later, maybe even 100s of years after. However it's not always a thing and it's mostly something that happens if it's a regiment of high note, a Nobleborn regiment with enough clout to ensure the regiment will remain 'always active' so to speak by refounding under the same name once the current muster of troops has been either wiped out to the man or been mustered out of active duty on some world that was liberated.

    As for the Paradynian regiments, they are very new, comparatively speaking, and the regiment your character will be from are all skilled Paragliders or otherwise had the interest in it (what with the planet being a big amount of hills, mountains, ridges, etc.), so it's in the blood, so to speak, to soar through the skies on that frontier world.
    As for Aeris getting out of a bad situation... easiest thing would be to state anything from her having had a bad run-in with the local town's Mob and the easiest way out would be to flee to the mustering signup for he imperial guard, with the promises of glory, a chance to go offworld, and get trained to slay the foul xenos and heretics out there in the galaxy.
    Or go with something like having ripped up a lesser noble in some deal and the only way out of the situation alive was to sneak off with the Regiment, do the training under a false name, etc.

    Updated backstory. Let me know if it needs tweaked. I'm a little lore light when it comes to 40k (I know the broad strokes).

    How hard would it be to requisition a common quality heavy stubber and ammo? Or I guess I should ask what our logistics modifier is currently? The reason I'm looking at the heavy stubber is almost entirely clip size, as the 20 clip size of the m34 leaves a lot to be desired, especially when used for suppression.

    The Distrustful of Authority bit under skills doesn't need the full text info. it can stay if you wish, but just mention what the modifier is from, as well as keeping the whole Ability itself still mentioned under Abilities/Traits/Implants/Mutations & Malignancies.
    Well-Provisioned, Distrustful of Authority and Independent Operation should be put into the Abilities/Traits/Implants/Mutations & Malignancies spoiler.
    (look at Janwin's charactersheet for reference here, for example, on where it should be placed).

    Your bullpup lasgun is missing one of it's Special Qualities. It should have the Variable Lasgun Setting ability (found on page 175, under the regular Lasgun's description). Also I do not see it stated anywhere it's specifically a two-handed weapon, so please remove that bit. Only rules-stated Special Qualities should be added here. Just about any Basic sized weapon needs to hands to be used unless ruled otherwise from some item, buff, etc. Same goes for your M34 Autocannon.
    Where'd you get a combat Knife from? It should just be a 'Knife'. There's an actual weapon called a combat knife and that's not the item the regiment gets.

    Um, I highly doubt that your character had experience with Gravchutes prior to the Imperial Guard Training before the Mustering. Only very defined and spec-tech PDFs even get Lasguns. Most PDFs in the galaxy are like weekend soldiers and not much else. Rare examples like Hive-guards that work the walls daily is an exception to this of course, but PDF for just about any non-hivecity is more on the Autoguns (if technologically able to produce it) and possibly even a command-squad radio of the PDF cadre, so the captain of the group can receive and reply to orders.
    You need something like, Cadian PDFs before you get Imperial Guard level focus on even the PDF, where they are just a mere stepping stone to become part of a cadian regiment to either protect the planet from the eye of terra, or be sent out into the galaxy for wars elsewhere.
    What I think your character's dad COULD have had would be paradrop training school where it's parachutes, not Gravchutes, that are trained with and used.

    Remember, it's a Frontier World, not a full on Established Imperial World, Hive World, etc.


    Other than that, your Comrade's Status should be Unharmed. It goes from Unharmed -> Wounded -> Dying/Dead.

    Combat Knife was just the standard kit knife. I didn't have access to the book when I was filling some stuff in so I used an online reference that may not have been accurate. I'm double checking things now.

    Updated my story re: the grav chute thing, changed to parachute and glider trainer.

    In regards to logistics, I believe itís base target 10, modified by things like how intense the war zone is, how long weíve operated there, etc. and if we fail by too much, we get gear taken away from us, so worth exercising caution there.

    well there's not a chance to requisition more things until you've reached ground and is part of an ongoing war.

    Also, things requisitioned that are not part of the Regimental Gear List is... well, technically not something you should have, at all. Some regiments got strict death penalties for carrying gear outside regulations, although majority of regiments overlook battlefield looting of weapons, knicknack, etc. Monetary looting is highly prohibited tho.

    But yeah as an Inlisted Soldier you have a requisititional Logistics value of 10 as base (which will grow as the regiment gains renown and survives through different warfronts. Basically proving a value. Page 162-165 explains further about modifiers and such.
    Also, depending on the mission you're on, you get specific Mission Assignment Gear.... and there's a roll to see if everything is actually delivered, if some oddities arrives as well, like a box of clean uniforms in Ogryn size, a small sealed box with an Inquisititorial Sigil on it, or maybe even a requirement to hand over a piece of gear from your Regimental Gear List. Like forexample there's a lack of ammunition at the moment, so every guardsman of the regiment is required to hand over a Standard-sized Basic Weapon Chargepack.... or they have to go without their Gravchutes....
