The utter onslaught causes a massive groan from the machinery. Finally, the ice is enough, and as the bolt of cold crystallizes and slams into the torso, the massive gears grind to a halt.The creature teeters in place, then falls forward. The gaskets and pipes of the creature all explode in a cloud of acidic mist.

Every creature within melee range of the golem will take (6d10)[21] from the massive cloud of burning and corrosive internal fluids from this construct.

As the bulk of this metal creature hits the ground, the mosaic cracks and the pillars rumble. A tremor wracks the room. You feel like many more major disturbances and the ceiling comes down, and it might only be a matter of time before something not great happens.

Behind the portcullis is a large space with gears and chemical vats on the walls. It looks to be a combo between a garage and a self-repair station. Cursory inspection from where you stand reveals no entrances or exits in this space.

"I wonder when will I get burnt by acid! Ahahaha!" she laughed, and calmly researched and searched the remains og the golem to find anything of intrest. Even what made it tick.
Maybe she could build such toys herself.

As Hungry and Dream search the area, particularly in the garage, they don't see any exits or doorways of any type. The floor gives a slight shake as they paw about in search of an exit.

As Dream looks up, she sees a vent on the ceiling. It seems like it was intended to get steam and smog out of the garage space, and looks securely bolted into place, but big enough to fit a humanoid with a squeeze. It's about 30 feet up in the air. You aren't certain where it leads. Perhaps even into a more perilous situation than the one you're in now.

Hungry, you get to thinking. This seems to be the only room in this chunk of the complex. Fendrigar would have had to get through this space to get the rest of his complex, so there must be some exit he can access. You get looking at the pressure plate panels on the floor behind you. Maybe they act as some sort of an access code? Press the right panels, perhaps another means of exit will make itself apparent.

"Right then. Everybody close to me," Susie instructed, which of course her various servants immediately obeyed. She lifted her hands and spoke out some words of power. The invisible floor beneath the party vanished, and everybody fell ten feet. However, above their heads came a secure wall of force to block the masonry from falling on their heads.

"I remember we searched for plates to press as sort of a puzzle. Maybe from below we will have a better luck.."

As you fall onto the plates, they all collectively depress. However, the portcullis has already risen, so the trap squares didn't spring. As massive chunks of rocky debris begin to fall upon the Wall of Force, you barely see a humanoid-sized doorway disillusion and open right next to the portcullis gate before massive clumps of rubble block it. As the ceiling collapses above you, the rubble stays grounded, implying some chamber even above.

You are surrounded by a pile of ancient stone, some of which is suspended above you by this wall of force. What do you do now?

For now, Hungry Hourglass trying to study the changed saroundings

Flying over the rubble, you see nothing of particular interest. Though as you look up in the space above the fallen chunks of debris, you see a space that appears architectural in nature, some sort of support. You recon that this probably runs through a lot of the complex, and could be a useful way to get around that's not simply on the ground, though there my be some special challenges traversing a place so close to the open Astral plane.

Hungry is looking about, but the rubble obscures most every notable feature that WAS in the room.

"Okay, everyone. Climb out, I can't keep the wall up forever." Debbie and Ahinoam helped Susie climb her way back toward the teleportation circle.

You all stand on the outside of the Wall of Force, which is coated in massive chunks of rubble. The broken ceiling and columns stand tall above, their proud stature decimated. What do you do now?

Susie dropped the Wall of Force and the rubble once the space was closed.
"As far as I see we have two choices: we fly up to the passages above or we stop for the night. I vote on the latter; I will be much more useful after my greater powers have been refreshed."

Susie poked both of her wights with her ruby rod to reestablish control over them for the next day.
"Ahinoam, stay with the General's friends and stay on watch tonight. Debbie, rest and recover from the acid splashed all over you."
Susie waved her rod over her head, and a circle of dark gray smoky energy surrounded the party.
"This will take me several minutes."

Over the course of eleven minutes, the circle had expanded into a hemispherical dome of solid, chilled gray smoke.
"Good night, everybody." She laid down her head on Debbie's stomach and closed her eyes.

"Uh... right. So, everyone who isn't horse-sized or larger gather around."

After returning to normal size Dawn gathers near Susie, (ooc:short rest will recover all rune uses, as well as giant size)

You sit around, perparing and resting, patching up any injuries you may have and meditating to regain more mystical pools of stamina back. About 5 hours in, you hear low and muttering raspy voices from the hole in the ceiling above. You can't make out what they're saying.

Susanna cocked her head to one side as she was gently awakened by the sound. She put one hand on Terese her bat, turning it invisible. Terese flew up toward the muttering the ceiling to let Susanna hear it correctly.

Therese hears quiet muttering from at least three parties. "Should we get someone and shoo them out?" "Nay, nay, wait for the master!" "You nitwit, the master is gone! Blithering fool, blithering fool." "You don't even know what blithering means, Four! Besides, I say we wait. Don't know what they want. Maybe they'll leave on their own." "Come on, they look really easy! We can take 'em!" The bickering continues.

"There are some guardians arguing up there," Susanna let the others know.
"Over whether to attack now or wait. Would you all like to deal with them?"
