"If you don't, let's have some peace for the rest of the evening." She settled in on her wight's stomach.

A mouth opened on her palm pulling a tongue, panting.

All the more confused because "something hurt me" doesn't make a lot of sense to her, since her companions are all still clearly there watching over her and the sounds of them battling anything seeking to harm her should have woken her first. As such she just kind of winds up glaring accusingly at everyone nearby, hoping some kind of explanation for presents itself.

The voices continue to squabble, just out of view from your position looking up at the gaping hole in the vaulted ceiling. A newly-awoken Dream stands, grouchy and awaiting an explanation. What are you going to do?

Susanna waved the general off and withdrew various bones from Debbie's bag. She assembled Leander's skeleton once more and filled its eyes with her own blood which she drew with her jewel-encrusted dagger.

As Rem flies into the roof cavity, it catches a glimpse of four small figures, looking misshapen and primeval like lumps of clay with limbs and appendages haphazardly stuck into them. Each has a different runic number on its chest: 4, 7, 11, 12. They trip over each other to scurry back down the corridor. "This is YOUR FAULT!" Four screams, pointing at Twelve as they run. What does Rem do?

Spoiler Show If multiple equally close to Rem, it'll grab the highest numbered one it can. Grapple: (1d20+3)[20] Rem won't take an opportunity attack on the others if they flee. Unless you can opportunity attack grapple? In which case please roll that for me in that situation.

Eleven lags a it behind, and Rem easily snatches up the lump of flesh. "Gah! Don't leave me! Four! Twelve!" It calls out to the other ones as they skitter and flap away. The pathetic, helpless creature weakly struggles against the grip of the spider shark as the others of its kind cavort into the darkness.

"Good job Rem!" Dream says upon their return and pats the adorable terrifying monster on the head.

Susanna regarded the creature, trying to figure out what it was - was it even humanoid?

Susanna inspects the pitiful creature. She immediately realizes what this is after her years of arcane study. This is a homunculus, one whose form has degraded over a long time without a master to do repair and maintenance. The creature struggles and struggles in your grip, but it's far too weak to escape. "Let me go! Let me GO! Please! I'll do anything!" It threatens, begs, cowers, every trick in the book.

A smile lit up Susanna's face.
"Your master is dead, and this palace of his is now mine. As such you are now my servant, understood?"

The sniveling creature nods repeatedly, with vigor. "Yes, m-m-m-" he seems to have trouble spitting out the word "master", but eventually he manages it. The grimace on his face after implies that he's not too terribly pleased with the change in management.

Susanna smiled, then gestured to Debbie, who began tying the Homunculus's arm to her own.
"Now, my servant. I require you to tell me everything you know about a toxin that was created here. A plague made by Xelios."

The creature looks legitimately confused. "Could you narrow that down? That basically encompasses most everything that doesn't move here and some things that do..."

"Absolutely not. Go alphabetically, if you think that would help."

"Well, there's a few rooms in here that trigger something to pop out when you step in the wrong place, I would guess that those would be some sort of a pestilential, um, er, photosynthesis, yes yes? And there's the laboratories and vaults, which have some potions and bottles that occasionally rattle and steam, mayhaps those are what you're looking for? Of course, things were in disarray since the apprentice came back and made a mess of things. But perhaps I could show you to one of the nearby libraries, he may have some, um, recorderizations in there?" You can see that the little creature is tripping over itself to try and use large words in an attempt to feign intelligence.

"Please, my friend Debbie here is very slow." Susanna gestured to Debbie.
"I'll need you to speak so she can understand. Speaking of Debbie, I'll need you to ride on her shoulder and direct her down the safest path toward the nearest library, warning us of any traps up ahead as we approach them. And Debbie. For every trap you trigger that we were not warned of ahead of time, I want you to remove one body part of this little homunculus of your choice." Susanna stood to examine the knots Debbie had tied to make sure they were secure.
"Are we clear, my new servant? By the way, whatever your name was before, forget it. Your name is George."

The little creature, now George, nods, complying with your orders. It seems repulsed by Debbie, not because it is an undead creature, but because it is a rival in servitude. Its face screws up in concentration as it looks around, presumably trying to orient itself. Finally, the creature points with a lumpy and malformed arm-thing. "Over that way was an entryway, yes? But now, but now, but now, your rocks are in front of the door, when you demolitionized the ceiling... We can use the vaults above the arches, yes? Where I cam from? Less traps anyways, quicker to get there, yes yes?" His face falls a bit. "But you all cannot levimicitate- I mean, fly," he says, casting a hateful glance to Debbie.

"Some of us can, George. However, our friend the general has a mount. Would you mind if we take turns, General?"
