Graw walked around the great library, putting the books he got from Rosalin, Hex, and Russ’s people and giving them a proper place on the shelf, Categorization was key and he had some work to do in the library anyway. Many of the books that once littered the library were gone and very few books replace them. ”Robert… has tainted the knowledge… of this place…” Graw then got out a pen. ” I will need to... rectify this…

    _____

It only took about a day to rewrite the entirety of the missing library and properly organize all the books back into place. ” I am getting… Slow… He thought to himself as he slid the last book into place. ”The sleep wilL… happen… Again…” He then sensed the power of Chern, Russ, and Hex. At this point, he knew exactly what to do and the latter two were easy.

He did not like Russ but Graw knew what could happen if he hindered, It could cause the entire continent to collapse into the sea or on another landmass. He would leave it alone.

Hex seems like he would be a great ally against Russ and the assistance with his demigod can help court his favor.

Chern was different, his action was crazy, yes but he understood something. He looked upon the library that was missing thousands of books. Robert is gaining Influence through the ignorance he spread. This could be the only way. but then he found out the killing half the population with a great flood and decided it wasn't worth it
    ___________

An orb of light came down from the window and landed on the table beside Graw. ”What…?

Just then an Unwelcome face appeared in front of the glowing ball. “Boss, How’s it going!” A familiar tongue corpse spewed out.

”oh it’s… you Vultur...” Graw said in a condescending tone. ”I was hoping...You got stuck… Under a rock... for eternity

Vultur shrug “Glad to see you too bony.”

    ”What do... you want?

“Oh I’m sorry nothing major…” Vultur said with goofy smile on his face. “...Just helping a revolution in Titainrase.” Graw’s eyes lit up in absolute shock. “Yes no need to thank me.”

”WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME THIS EARLIER!” Graw yelled out in pure rage.

“...um I take it you would like us fighting Tyrant’s followers.” Vultur stared in confusion. “What is going on?”

”We had a… Meeting about Titanrise… We concluded... the best option...Was to seal the... city in a pocket dimension...Until we could... deal with it…And readability them...

Vultur for the first time put on a serious expression in front of Graw. “And you think that rehabilitation will most likely be never...” Graw stayed in silence. “Hmm, my Second father always said you Gods looked down upon the abilities of mortals. Never in my life have I doubted that. Rather than properly fix a problem you gonna put millions of people in a bottle and throw them into the Corner”

”They have... already decided… Graw simply responded.

“Here is the thing Bony…” Vultur interrupted. “... All we need to do now is just take the city before you can do that action.”

    ”what?

“All we need to be is a little bit faster…” Vultur responded with a smile. “By the time you when you and the other inbred gods decided to do that, we will already free the city.”

This caught Graw’s interest ”Are you sure... you can do that…’

Vultur simply shrugged “What choice do we have at this point?”

Graw sat in silence ”I will attempt… to give you... more time…

Vultur smiled back. “Nice to see some cooperation for once.” And with that, the magical ball disappeared.

Graw sat there in silence. ”I must get... to work now....”

    The Dark Su'ule Titanrise

-22 AP (Create An Alternate Dimension/Country Sized Alternate Plane For Titanrise.)

Su'ule grinned maliciously at her victims. She saw Titanrise as prey, from the point of view of her long-term plans. Thousands of witch voices came from her reptilian fanged mouth. Casting a spell, she pulled from her own divine essence a spell of enormous power. A gate was created in Titanrise, and in a mere quickly executed moment, the mysterious spell took effect. All of the people were now ignorant of the new world they lived in. Another world with deceptively similar surroundings. Identical, in fact. However, people outside of Titanrise, such as would be in the real world, would be settlements of illusionary folk.

All peoples outside Titanrise, sans the Northern peoples of the Western continent, would be illusionary. The West, in this alternate world would stay in the West, but nonetheless they would subjugate the entire Western continent.

Meanwhile, in the East, located in Titanrise, the people would be given a chance to reform, for an undisclosed duration, given by the other gods, and perhaps be let out back into their original world, or receive whatever mercy from the gods they earned. Magical phenomena would be enforced by Su'ule, and these magical events would help to keep the populace of Titanrise ignorant of their pleasant imprisonment. There were a few benign effects of being in Titanrise of this world.

Modest but still significant food acquisition by fishing and agriculture would be easier than normal. The weather would be modestly more favorable for the locals, and normally, predators that would be dangerous to the locals would be more passive, and strike out less often. All these things would allow the locals an opportunities for kindness. Occasionally, the magical phenomena that occurred may do something unfortunate, so people could grow through adversity. Usually these bad things that happen to people would only be big annoyances, rather than something tragic. On the rare occasion that these events would cause tragedy, there would be an opportunity for another person to do something good for the other.

Occasionally if a sufficiently powerful individual discovers they are in this other dimension, they would be enlisted by others in a similar situation in order to enforce a cover up of the truth.

Lastly, since the alternate dimension is meant to test the inhabitants, they would not be spared The Cherning.

    Spoiler

-22/64 AP: An alternate world is created, accessible by one gate per world region (Such as a continent or significant island nation)
+3 Sorcery: Sorcerers that learn of the Sealing/Sealed World would be given a great boost of power from Su'ule, in exchange for serving her.
+2 Monsters: Likewise, if someone gets too close to the truth they could be transformed into a monster. This is for those who try to tell others of the truth.
+1 Strength: Enforcers of the Seal would also receive higher strength than normal.
+1 Birth: People who work as Su'ules Enforcers would be immune to the Cherning's bed room curse, and generally never suffer in that area for any reason.
+1 Metamorphosis: Enforcers would receive the ability to transform through sorcery.
+1 Aggression: People attempting to alert others of the Sealed World would discover that monsters/animals and sometimes other people would lash out at them.

    Avestra

Avestra soared up on northerly winds following the godsmoot, cautiously optimistic about what had been agreed. She cared little for the fate of the mortals themselves, but saw an opportunity to turn the consensus to her own ends. With a timely intervention or two, of course.

    Spoiler: Help!

    Spoiler: Help!

    Assist Su'ule with:

+2 Nature: The space where Titanrise once stood will rapidly return to nature, protected by a magical charm that ensures that any mortal traveller who tries to penetrate its depths will soon find themselves back where they started. The earth itself will violently reject any attempt at re-colonisation, swallowing up buildings whole.

+2 Birds: Furthermore, birds will have unseen, known only to them, methods of travelling between the two worlds. They will assist with the transportation of rare species of both flora and fauna to safe havens in the new world. Avestra's Eagles will lead the charge on this, protecting the dimension from interlopers.

    The Chernway

Down in the darkness of the tunnels individual voices yelled out. From the strong-willed Athe, The masochistic Choblin, The emo Fae and the just Just happy to be there wormfolks.

In the center of the crowd stood Vultur with a particularly pissed off Athe. “Brothers and sisters of the dark depths, we have been betrayed by the gods, again!” He yelled out to the crowd. “For 500 years we have been tortured by the cruel tyrants of Titansrise...And when the gods finally return instead of helping the enslaved they decide to seal them along with our homeland In a pocket dimension so they will never have to deal with it.” He slammed his foot. “We must take matters to our own hands, long ago in the battle against the sick Tyrant we declared an empire, now after 500 years we will make that empire reality without bowing to the gods!” he then raised a sword up. “WE as mortals Will crush this wicked city once and for all!”

A burst of cheers erupted in the caves.

    Spoiler: action
    Show

20 AP/16 DC: influence a continent-sized area The Chernway, to become much more magical nature for better survival and to help them in the war
+2 knowledge: anyone who travels the Caves and welcome will always know where they are going, the cave naturally guide those who did not get lost. Additionally those were not welcome will have extreme difficulty moving around making invasion Of the Chernway almost impossible.
+2 mining and +1 humility: The materials of the Caves will also make a pretty comfortable place to live, anyone who does not have a home will Be given one by the Chernway, The tunnels will be up by crystals, there will be soft dirt that is as comfortable to lay in as a bed and they will have a bunch of material they can trade with Otherpeople.
+1 Writing and +1 Singing: A material called memormate will also be in the cave and plenty quantities. This material has the power to record knowledge like writing and Voice communications.

+2 command: The people of the Chernway will be ready for war. Cheek and Vultur have both made a critical judgment on the prophecy of Titanrise. The gods and their followers Cannot bring down the city BUT the Athe are not followers of the Gods. So they are the only people that can bring down the city. Cheek and Vultur because of the prophecy can only give their knowledge But they hope will be enough to help them take the city.

Post Fear and Loathing in Port Ruby

    Qing - Port Ruby
    Old Viper Way

Fen sat cross-legged on his stool at the noodle stand. He warbled and shouted from his little perch, spinning yarns for whoever would walk by. The stand’s operator tried her best not to look embarrassed from the display and carried on her services in a studied, dutiful silence. Fen was gesticulating something fierce today, so Yuan stopped to listen himself.

“Clean off, at the elbow!” Fen said, making a chopping motion into his own elbow, “Hacked it nearly right off - it hung on by a thread! You’d never seen a stone axe get so sharp, but that’s the jungle savages for you!”

The crowd murmured disapprovingly. The tribesmen were a regular nuisance, but what could be done? Xinnies said they were to be left alone. Yuan found himself shaking his head.

Fen continued, “Once they left, we came out of hiding and carried her away. Poor Zhi! She was beside herself! We tried to get to town, but we found the necropolis first. I’d never seen such a place before! Black stone piled high…!”

Everyone had heard about the necropolis by now, but not many were willing to visit it themselves. It was rumored the old nobility were circling deep within that place, like vultures, plotting and preparing, striking deals with sinister ghosts.

It was a treasonous subject at best, and someone responded in kind, “Fen! You didn’t!” they gasped.

“We had to!” he protested, teetering on his seat, “She was dying, so we asked for their help! Begged!”

To Yuan, bringing a mortally wounded woman to a den of necromancers seemed like a bad idea, but Fen had made it back, so…

“The old nobles were like wraiths!” Fen brayed, waving his fingers, “Stern and cold, dressed in the white robes of scholars. I’d never seen anything like them! They took Zhi and forbade us from following inside!”

More murmuring, excited rather than dark. Yuan shifted from one foot to the other, “Did, did she… Come back out?”

“Did she come back out! Did she come back out!?” Fen barked back, then gripped his forearm and waved it at Yuan, “She did! And they’d sewn her arm back on! Good as new, with feeling and everything! I’d never seen anything like it!”

There were evidently a great deal of things in this world that Fen had never seen anything like. Before Yuan could wryly observe as much, someone had pushed up through the crowd next to him. “Zhi saw inside the necropolis? What’d she see? What was it like?”

That got a bigger reaction from the crowd. Lots of questions were barked, but Fen quieted them all with a wave of his hand and dropped his voice into a furtive whisper. He knew how to work a crowd, Yuan could give him that.

“She said it was like another world. So quiet and so still was the inside, it was like being struck deaf. She said the walls themselves were gilded, and the domed ceilings crowded with murals, carved altars in every hallway... She said it was the glory of the old dynasties conjured right out of the past!”

Fen’s eyes watered, as if he were recalling the glory himself. No one here - or in most places - had been around for the old dynasties. Those had been swept away when Xinnies came to power over five centuries ago. There was no way it could have been a completely pleasant time, but now that everyone on Qing had to scrape along in the shadow of Jaytal, there was a certain nostalgia for it.

“Altars?” Yuan asked, cutting above the muttering crowd, “Altars to who?”

“Who indeed!” Fen snapped. Yuan got the feeling he was waiting for someone to ask that question, and now resented participating. “Who else but our ancestors?”

Someone scoffed audibly. Someone else shushed them.

Ancestor worship was something of a novelty these days. It wasn’t hard to see why. It was not their ancestors who had pacified the Five Islands, bullied the merchant houses into submission, and declared themselves King. It was not their ancestors who hand-picked the “nobility of merit” that ruled them. It was certainly not their ancestors who bloated Jaytal with the tribute harvested from other islands.

When the war’s over, you worship the winners. It's as simple as that. But now the hermits at the necropolis were looking to bring it back into style. Yuan wouldn’t have guessed that.

“When they brought Zhi back out, about a day later, we asked them,” Fen continued on his own, on account of no one else prompting him, “We asked them - why help us? Why help her? They said it was for the good of Qing!”

Fen raised his voice now, and it carried a little over the crowd, “That anyone who’d take up arms to defend the frontier against those bastard jungle savages was a hero to Qing and an ally to the clique!”

Oh, that did it. The whole crowd simmered with nervous chatter. The uncultivated jungles and the tribesmen who lived within them were under royal protection. It meant the land could not be developed, and the tribesmen had since taken it to mean they could hunt anyone who strayed too close with impunity.

And sometimes, anyone who happened to live nearby was considered “too close.” They were not exactly popular with the civilized parts of the island and there was little love for them in Port Ruby. But the local officials did not care to act. Royal decree was royal decree, after all…

Meanwhile, Jaytal had been made into a metropolis. There were no tribesmen or jungle left there.

The noodle woman leaned over to Fen, “That’s enough. Pick someplace other than my stand to talk about this, it sounds treasonous!”

Fen clambered up on his stool, standing over the crowd now, gesturing wildly as if to physically whip them into a frenzy. “Treason, she says! Treason! Is it really treason to solve our own problems? Find our own path? Or should we just continue on in the shadow of some beast-tyrant who’s left us to chase geese in space?”

Scattered laughter, though whether it was from the sight of old, wiry Fen getting animated like that or his unflattering description of Xinnies was difficult to say. Some onlookers bellowed agreement.

“It’s time we looked someplace else to solve our problems,” Fen continued, “To the old ways! To the ancestors! To ourselves, I say!”

He made a little fist with his hand and shook it violently at the sky, “To the Clique!”

Several other men in the crowd echoed Fen, pumping their fists and repeating, “To the Jiangshi Clique!” They were harsh looking men. Certainly not a rarity around Old Viper Way, but Yuan passed through here a lot and couldn’t say he recognized them.

But that was all it took to get the crowd going, louder now, echoing the sentiments. Yuan peeled himself from the mass and continued on, realizing he’d made himself late for his appointment.

Later that day, after getting home, his brother told him about the scuffle in Old Viper Way over dinner. How the local militia had broken things up with cudgels, smashed that noodle stall, and dragged the owner off.

His brother sighed, “Slippery Fen ran off, so the Five-Ringed Kingdom’s goons needed someone else to make an example of.”

“‘The Five-Ring Kingdom’s goons’” Yuan echoed, furrowing his brow, “You make it sound like they’re foreigners - like we’re not part of it.”

His brother puffed smoke from his pipe and gave a disaffected shrug. “I don’t think we will be for much longer.”
